Ok Have said it before give mateus mane a game.
Only 18 someone says
So why vp got a 15yr old on the bench
Makes no sense.

19 Oct 2025 12:36:01
Who was 15 on the bench did I miss someone? I can't see anyone even near 15 everyone is over 21s
19 Oct 2025 14:25:19
Yeah there wasn't anyone that young on the bench. I mean Wolf looks about that age in fairness but other than that they were all first team players.
19 Oct 2025 14:44:17
Lopez youngest at 21yrs 5 months. Moby said he went to the pub at half time; perhaps that has influenced his assessment of player ages.
19 Oct 2025 11:23:37
We have to remember where we were before Fosun came in.
A mid Championship club just drifting along.
They have given us some of the best players we have ever seen at the club and some of the best football we have ever seen.
I am confident that we can turn this situation around once the new signings settle in and acclimatise to the Premier League.
A few more signings in January and we will be fine like we always are.
Be careful what you wish for.

19 Oct 2025 11:53:55
Hi jaz, that sounds all abit hunky dory, yea fosun came with promises and in fairness they delivered to a point, but they didn't follow up did they?
They've let us down and are selling us short. Big issues need resolving and they either can't see it or don't care.
If they do care then things have to change sooner rather than later I'm afraid, keep playing they way we are and everyone will lose interest and we'll be back fighting relegation in the championship next season.
If VP can't change things next Sunday I'm afraid he should be gone, who takes his place is a bigger question, but anyone with some attacking nous and discipline would do.
19 Oct 2025 12:09:26
Abbeywolf if you go to the bottom of the page where you have posted next one down what I've said a bout VP.
19 Oct 2025 12:13:22
To me it is already feeling like when VP will be replaced rather than if he will be. Probably Jeff not thinking the same as always very slow to react. With our recent results, going back to the end of last season as well, what other club would still have VP?
Would any decent manager accept a role seeing what has past before, would like to think they are trying to identify suitable candidates but probably unlikely. Surely someone from the Spanish or Portuguese leagues would have an interest, what an absolute mess again, diabolical.
19 Oct 2025 12:26:13
Hi all. Just to let you know that whilst I no longer post on this forum, I do still read it on a daily basis. I would just like to point out that Jaz M is someone pretending to be me. These are not my thoughts and should not be taken as such. To the person who set up Jaz M account. Get a life. This is one of the reasons I left this site but I thought this needed to be pointed out to all.
19 Oct 2025 12:31:20
Jaz - great to see you posting again.
19 Oct 2025 12:35:28
Good to see you back on here Jas M. You've been missed.
19 Oct 2025 13:24:40
Roberto Martines perhaps Abbey
19 Oct 2025 13:48:31
Well he knows the prem, can speak potugese/Spanish (and welsh?) Les, but I think we've got to problem as outlined by Dmac below. Who'd want to come to us with Jeff and fosuns attitude?
19 Oct 2025 13:57:21
Good to see your well Jas, would be lovely to have you back posting buddy but totally understand why you might not. What is wrong with these people, pretending to be other posters/setting up an entire a/c just to troll about free transfers which aren't real?! Its beyond bizarre and a VERY sad reflection on those individuals and the fact that trolling something as benign as a footy forum is how they choose to spend there time?!
Anyway take care of yourself Jas buddy, be lovely to have you back if you can find the time/patience ๐๐บ
20 Oct 2025 07:31:38
My apologies Jas, I took it to be you mate when I responded initially.
I was glad to think you'd rejoined us. I'll be more diligent in future.
Good to hear from you though, I hope alls well with you.
19 Oct 2025 11:16:39
Can anyone explain to me why VP keeps playing Larsen when he knows he's injured and not up to speed. Wolves spent 24mill on Tolu a striker who can't get a game makes no sense just like VP substitutions.
Agree0
Disagree0
19 Oct 2025 12:16:22
Because the bloke is clueless and needs sacking before itโs too late. Larson is only training a couple of times a week (from vpโs own mouth) and is clearly not up to speed. Puts doc straight back in the team after an operation on his wrist so also must have missed a lot of training and then look at his substitutions. People keep saying we will be ok when the new lads settle in, we are 8 games in now so how long do they need
19 Oct 2025 13:21:21
Can anyone explain what we're trying to do on the pitch?
Are we trying to bore the opposition into submission. Our play is sideways, backwards, with virtually zero goal threat. I could understand it we were absorbing pressure and breaking quickly, but we can't even do that. I can't actually remember their GK needing to make a save yesterday.
I had to register again ( Formerly BlackfordsWolf) but this is some of the worst football I've seen from a Wolves team in a long while.
19 Oct 2025 13:49:34
I agree NG, the system seems to be lacking particularly attacking wise. I think the problem is that we've lost the quality required to break a team down. People are saying this is just down to VPs tactics, some have even suggested getting Ange in because he's more attacking, right?! I would point out to them that over two games VP beat Ange 6-2 last season, so it's not like VP doesn't know how to do it so what's changed exactly then?! Cause I don't believe that VP has massively changed his approach. It's almost like we've sold/released a shed load of quality Prem talent and replaced them with virtually unknown attacking entities isn't it?! As others have pointed out we spent ยฃ100+m in the summer but a) we still finished the window ยฃ13.5m up and b) for all those players signed currently VP sees just two as up to regularly starting, what do those things tell ya? ๐ญ
19 Oct 2025 14:10:28
Nb-sorry should read beat Spurs 6-4, but we still outcored them across the two matches ๐
19 Oct 2025 07:30:11
So yet again Wolves find themselves in the mire for what is in truth the 4th year in a row with a string of either failed managerial appointments or a failure to adequately back them. A series of annual fire sales of our best players every Summer due to commercial failure followed by panicked signings of replacements up to the last day of the window with players brought in who have no experience at this level, what can possible go wrong?
Is it Manager's tactics or maybe a lack of confidence as new players realise that this league really is another level or is the bigger picture that's constantly screwing the Club over? Do the owners belief that the January window and 'new Manager bounce' is all that's needed to keep us up? It doesn't work for the team and it doesn't work for the fans but does it work for them? Is it the Chinese Government telling Fosun to back off due to the current geo political situation and their strained relationships with the West? Is it the damage done to the Fosun Group post Covid and the subsequent need to restructure and consolidate? Or did Fosun get cold feet when they realised the likely costs of a European campaigns and adjusted their ambitions to ensure that didn't happen?
The lack of communication and a clear plan, beyond the obvious, all leading to such questions and speculation. but no clear answers. A Chairman who has admitted to being more interested in frickin' computer games than football and yet there are still some that will argue that the club doesn't need new owners, just a change of Manager. This is rapidly becoming toxic for one reason as their 'gravy tomorrow' bullsh*t has brought the Club to an inevitable and predicted, new low. Until Shi/Fosun are gone this club will never amount to a hill of beans as I can't see this particular leopard changing it's spots, have they no pride?

All so true Long.
My thoughts from yesterday.
A new low for our beloved Football Club.
Once again the pattern looks to be repeated, another manager frustrated and let down by the Ownership.
The manager - Tactics questionable, team selection questionable, clearly not happy with the summer transfer strategy. Will be gone shortly.
The Club - I just can't understand the Owners. Their management of the Club is difficult to follow. The token CEO now Head of Football as well?
When will the nightmare end?!
19 Oct 2025 09:15:41
Comments above from Long and Rugeley pretty much sum up the shambles the club are in once again, no surprise which makes everything worse unfortunately. Unlikely that Jeff will make a quick decision on VP so things will just continue in the same way, if the performance is poor v Burnley things will turn very sour quickly from the stands. Surely at some point Jeff has to be replaced, his bosses must be thinking not this again year on year.
Have to feel a little for all managers having to put up with it, in saying this our football this season is poor, boring to watch, too slow and predictable and VP should be doing better.
19 Oct 2025 09:31:14
Regarding a leader on the pitch.
We miss conor coady. Tbh.
Id give him a role with the coaching staff at once
19 Oct 2025 09:40:24
At 2 million I would have bought Coady back even to sit on the bench, his experience, vocal support and experience is just what we are lacking
19 Oct 2025 10:54:23
Coady would be a great idea if he could speak French, Spanish or Portuguese!
We need a competitive hungry billionaire owner and a CEO who lives and breathes football!
We gave away our best players during Summer, as usual, and weโll limp in last to the finish line.
First the window, then the door.
19 Oct 2025 11:45:12
I think his message would get across from his infectious voice alone, boS. let's be honest his scous accent is hard enough for English speaking players
Seriously though we are so lacking in leadership and direction its no wonder we've lost identity.
19 Oct 2025 13:19:25
Anyone that's watched Connors interview about leaving will know that like most people he will never work for Shi again! He spoke about hearing through Sky that the club were considering bids/trying to move him on and just crying in his living room cause he was so shocked that he'd had to find out that way! Disgusting behaviour and frankly sums up why many players and managers don't seem to leave great terms!

So if Wolves sack VP who do they go for I've said before no manager with any credibility will touch Wolves with a barge pole. Why Fuson selling there best players year on year and that's the reason we're in the position were in. And it seems to be the same when trying to buy a player how many turned down Wolves in the summer 3 that we all know about but behind the scenes how many more. Plus I don't know if I trust VP any more his substitutions are ridiculously sometimes 1nill down and you take your RB of then replace a winger with another RB. As I said at the top Wolves can sack VP but then who replaces him that is the question remember when Wolves sa cked O'NEIL at least 5 managers turned Wolves down.

18 Oct 2025 21:24:38
So if we do sack VP my personal favourite to replace is Ange. He could get the team working well together and maybe get us a trophy (Unlikely whoever is managing us). If not Ange who does everyone else think that we should get behind as a club because VPs time is surely up by now.
Agree0

18 Oct 2025 22:49:24
He should av gone last week.
If they leave it any longer
We are doomed to the championship
Give him his marching orders
What about southgate if he's availible
18 Oct 2025 22:53:03
Edin Terzic, Ten Haag, Dyche, Ange. Anyone who sets the team up looking to actually score a goal rather than bore the opposition with backwards passing. I have never seen a manager play such negative tactics.
18 Oct 2025 23:24:11
Ange? Have you not seen his gung ho tactics for the last two seasons leaving a wide open defence? Just what an already wide open defence needs.I trust you are just jesting.
18 Oct 2025 23:55:32
Anges tactics may be gung ho but at least his teams try to score.
19 Oct 2025 00:25:48
The same Ange that got Spurs finishing below us?! Are you guys serious?! As for the rest not a single one of them bar Dyche would touch this shambles with a barge pole! They don't want a relagtion on their CVs and for any sane manager they will see that is precisely where we are headed! ๐ญ
19 Oct 2025 00:53:14
Need Shi to go too.
19 Oct 2025 08:56:04
Well something needs to change and fast. At the moment we can't defend or score.
19 Oct 2025 09:01:21
To be honest guys Ange is what we need right now. Someone to get us out of this rut we have been in for the past 4 seasons. This club is shambles and I am seriously starting to worry if relegation to the championship is not the last relegation we will face in the next 5 years or so. It is hugely disappointing for all of the loyal fans that turn up week in week out. FOSUN out. COYW
18 Oct 2025 21:12:34
Do you think leadership issues are affecting some of the players performances. According to my count, Wolves have had three different captains this season. Two league losses against two promoted teams so far, not going to beat the thirteen points Wolves achieved last season against the promoted teams. The letter L in the form guide should read Laughing stock of the premier league. I would however like an early Christmas present. A Wolves league win.

Toti, Doherty, Gomes, JSL and Hwang have all had the armband at some stage so far this season. I think Sa may have done too.
19 Oct 2025 12:15:28
Hwang as captain ha ha ha ha ha vp shpuld be sacked just for that. as for ange people are saying get him in its a ridiculous idea he's absolutely garbage look what he just did with forest
18 Oct 2025 19:44:29
So forest manager has 30 odd days dosent win a game gets sacked we don't win a game and give him a 3 year contract lol sumats not right at the wolves

18 Oct 2025 21:40:08
I think the difference is Meza that their owner is ruthlessly ambitious and could see no improvement or at least any green shoots of one. Remember when Fosun had ambition and dispensed with Walter Zenga after a few games.
Now our owners have zero ambition beyond Premier League survival and are happy with anyone that can achieve no worse than 17th.
19 Oct 2025 14:27:20
LongmyndWolf hit the nail on the head what will they do when Wolves are relegated.
18 Oct 2025 19:35:04
Bruno Lage was never backed.
Lopetegui told the world that he was being hindered in the transfer market.
Gary O'Neil kept said he didn't get the players he needed to take the club forward.
What makes me angrier at VP is that he has come out and publicly said that Fosun have fully backed him in the transfer market where as the previous 3 all showed their frustrations whilst in post. For this fact alone, I think VP has to go as he claims that he has 100% autonomy of incoming players therefore it is entirely at his door that the buck stops.
Agree0
Disagree0
18 Oct 2025 19:49:40
We spent nearly 100+ million fosun ain't the problem its the management shi and vp
18 Oct 2025 19:59:54
It's Shi and Fosun that need to go as they are the authors of our situation not some Coach who is just glad to be here so will tow the party line.
They set the transfer policies and budgets, he has to work within the consequences of those parameters. It didn't work for his predecessors and it won't work for him or the next Coach if he does get the chop.
18 Oct 2025 20:37:09
Everyone's to blame. Fosun for desimating the club and VP for identifying and approving mediocre players.
18 Oct 2025 20:51:33
Exactly!
18 Oct 2025 21:43:55
The difference is LongmyndWolf is that Lage, Lopetegui and GON all said that they were not backed but VP says the exact opposite. So if he has been backed, the blame is on him too for identifying players that ain't good enough to play in a system that he's implemented. At least undet GON we were scoring. Under VP we don't look capable and our defence is a catastrophe.
18 Oct 2025 23:06:14
All of which is true Wandering but as I said he doesn't set the budgets and potential recruits will be initially identified by the recruitment department and he will ok the ones he wants from those who want to come and the Club can afford.
He can't just go out and buy up the best available or necessarily his first choice.
19 Oct 2025 00:04:12
Hang on Wandering make ya mind up mate, are they mediocre players or are they good enough to get mid table (as you said earlier) cause ya can't have it both ways?! And if they are good enough for a mid table finish then by what metric are you basing that on exactly? Cause so far outside of Krejci I've yet to see a single 90 minute performance that suggests they are up to the task at hand. Now that isn't to say they won't be one day, but there in lies the problem. We've bought half a team of players and only one of them looks Prem ready! You just don't get away with that at this level and the proof of this is sadly being seen in the points pudding! As for them being VPs players, well he might have agreed to them but how many of them were his first choice?! From what I can see ONLY Fer Lopez and Krejci were actually first choice, the rest were 2nd, 3rd and 4th on the list and again there in lies the problem! Like Judah said we let 15 years worth of Prem experience leave and replaced them with a group of players who had not a single min of Prem experience between them, frankly that is criminal!
We keep doing the same thing over and over again, selling the manager short and then blaming the manager! Sooner or later we have to stop questioning the monkey and start asking what excalty is the organ grinder doing?! VP hasn't become a bad manager over night, neither did GON or Lage. All three of them were given pigs ear (average signings made FAR to late, with no Prem experience) and then blamed for the quality of the shody purse they have created! VP towed the company line (I'm happy with the business) because he wanted a new contract and it worked. But who REALLY loses in that? Cause if we sack him tomoz he makes a fortune and we are still up the creak without a paddle! Run into the ground by an ownership group that doesn't care and a chairman that just wants to play FIFA! I'm sick of it and I'm sick of people just making out like this is a manager/tactical problem. It's far bigger than that and it's also precisely why we are bottom of the league and doomed to relegation! ๐ญ
19 Oct 2025 09:37:17
Bullysboy. To me, they are players that are good enough to stay in the league quite easily given the correct tactics. But under VPs management, they look mediocre and useless.
The metric I use is quite simple. Yesterday we had 8 full International players starting the game. These players represent the likes of Portugal, Brazil and Uruguay who are considered as some of the favourites for the next World Cup.
Its the old Real Madrid Galacticios issue when you have the individual players but the coach can't get them to gel and work together.
So we have decent players, but not a manager who can make it work.
19 Oct 2025 10:34:57
LongmyndWolf, Simon Jordan said earlier this week when talking about potential changes to PSR rules that other than Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal, no club can just go out and buy who they want. The club need to cut their clothes accordingly and if they know they've only got a certain standard of player to work with, then they must get a manager who can achieve something with what's available. He pointed out that that's what Glasner and Iraola do. Spend little money at first but are great coaches and highly sought after. VP is not this type of person. VP is a short term guy. Bring him in for an immediate effect and then move on. Why? Because he hasn't got the nous to plan for the long term, hence his nomadic managerial career.
