Newbie here, so be gentle. I hate jumping into the doom and gloom, but in the cold light of day after putting yesterday to bed, I look at the remaining games and honestly can't see where we pick up points. For the first time since coming up, I genuinely fear relegation, even the very poor sides below us look like picking up points along the way.

Welcome onboard OckerHill, don't worry if there ever was a time for doom and gloom it's probably now, for a whole host of reasons.

We are paying the price for all the p**s poor decision making of the last 2-3 years, poor recruitment, inexplicable decisions to sell the spine and leaders from the squad plus the ridiculous number of incompetent refereeing/VAR decisions that we have suffered of late.

It's a perfect storm of all of the above working in harmony to undermine us. But most of all it's sloppiness on the pitch, an longstanding inability to score now complimented by a new found inability to defend.

Not sure how it will end but some can feel their post Xmas optimism slowly slipping away.

I have to agree, if Wolves are to reach the magic 40 points for (statistical) survival that's four wins, looking at the remaining fixtures I just don't see where those four woll come from.

The Forest game will be a tough challenge. I'm hoping there's three wins and a draw here or there, again, very hard to see where they come from though.

I'm trying to remain upbeat, but it is very hard at the moment.

Yes, we can all feel aggrieved at recent decisions, BUT, let it not mask the frailty of this group of Sellers-assembled players.
Just to add to your "reality", not negativity OckerHill Wolf:
If Wolves are relegated, big questions/scenarios:
1. Mr Guangchang has given Shi £175 million to sort the mess out.
What will his view be on the future of Wolves?
2. Lopetegui walks with his team, huge implications.
3. Better players leave/sold, what sort of squad remains?
4. Shi, in 6 years, has already failed to build Revenue through
decent Sponsorships/Partnerships or Stadium Development, will
he be allowed to continue?
2019 Shi sacked Dalrymple and decided to run the Club his way, with his people and the rest is a depressing history.

The current dismay will be compounded should we suffer relegation. As has been suggested already players will leave so we could easily have a team without, starting from the back, Kilman,Semedo, Ait Nouri and Bueno. Midfield, Neves,Nunes, Moutinho at least. Forwards, Raul, Traore, Neto.
We could be watching a very different team next season.

It is very sad and frustrating to see how Wolves are playing now. They look a poor team and the new signings have not improved Wolves. We can blame bad var and referring decisions but overall we are not good enough. We have not got a decent centre forward. The manager team selection is not consistent and also the substitutes bought on are questionable. We are doomed and I can see the championship looming. It is hard to take what is going to happen. ?

Sorry I don't agree with,were going
Down,I'm never going down that route,
We will stay up

Forever wolves

I hope you are right Greyleg but it looks like Wolves have not got the money to improve the squad and may have to sell playets to balance the books.

Brilliant post Greyleg ???

See you all in 2 weeks or a fortnight whichever one comes first.

20 Mar 2023 11:53:11
Let's hope we're all sing8ng your tune after the forest game greyleg. As for me it's always look on the brightside, trouble is it's so cloudy at the mo.

Your comments about money don't have any relevance Melo as nothing can be spent anyway until the season is well and truly over. The fact is that the cash was splashed in the January window. How wisely it was spent remains to be seen but we all have our own views. My view is that Dawson was the most important acquisition and for all that we struggle to score, that also becomes almost irrelevant if you are conceding hatfuls. Keep a clean sheet and you are always in the game. Let's hope that the defensive frailties are worked on and worked on during the forthcoming break.

We are NOT going down! Don't ask me how we are going to do it but we are definitely NOT going to drop down to the Championship. It won't happen, why, because I say so, that's why!

We can all sleep easy now then, Ken.
