Brace yourselves, £50 m offer for larsen refused from Newcastle. Testing the water I reckon, expect an Upped offer after their Liverpool game tonight and see if Jeff is still of the same mind. Something tells me he will of got the message from VP this time tho.

Abbeywolf

1.) 25 Aug 2025 16:13:25
??? Bore off with the anti Jeff rhetoric.
If Newcastle paid £65m for Larsen we would be mad not to sell.
Any club below top 6 would be tempted to sell for PSR reasons and the fact you have tripled the value.
Not saying we shouldn't have two decent replacements lined up.
But it didn't end well keeping Raul, Traore, Hwang longer than necessary.

2.) 25 Aug 2025 16:14:43
In two minds about this one. On the one hand we’re down if we sell him because we will have no way of scoring goals. On the other hand, if we can get 80 million for a player we just spent 25 on a month ago, that’s great business and, with correct buying is 3 or 4 new quality players . Also, Newcastle will only want him this summer and we don’t have enough time to replace him, so I really don’t know. But I just think at the end of the day, if we want to have a chance of anything this season, we have to keep Jorgen, even if that means turning down 100 million.

3.) 25 Aug 2025 17:02:18
Wolves have told Newcastle that they want a Cunha type fee (68m) for Larsen.
Newcastle not about to pay anywhere near that fee!

4.) 25 Aug 2025 17:06:56
Likeywolves Wolves won't sell unless 80 to 90mill are Newcastle going to of6 that much don't think so.

5.) 25 Aug 2025 17:34:31
Uche deal being hijacked by milan . It would be madnrss to sell JSL now. He's being offered a new contract- will he sign? All depends on the release clauses he/his agent want inserting first

6.) 25 Aug 2025 17:49:55
If they let him go and make 40-50m how much will they lose if VP walks and we go down? No guarantees either way, so either Fosun would be gambling big time, or taking the money before they run. Yes they'd have to find a buyer etc etc. But larsen going now would be irreplaceable, unless we've got someone up the sleeve, doubtful given the transfer success we've had so far, and we'd be surrendering the prem without a shout.

7.) 25 Aug 2025 18:07:48
If he's sold then only if someone else has signed on the dotted line first.

8.) 25 Aug 2025 19:01:26
£60 million would be an unbelievable price for JSL. Should be able to attract proven strikers with the money we are about to receive for Silva and hopefully Hwang. Hope Sasa is given a run out tomorrow night to see what he has to offer.

9.) 25 Aug 2025 20:03:02
Personally, I'd keep JSL, let Uche, Lopez and Arias get him a shed load of assists and then sell him for £100m in January with a ready made replacement lined up.

28 Jul 2025 09:27:40
Reports were interested in coufal, ex West ham, can't verify this but if true may give us right dided options at the back. Apparently he's without a club at the mo, which to be honest I find hard to believe or wonder why.

Abbeywolf

1.) 28 Jul 2025 10:57:22
He turns 33 next month. However, I believe he could still do a job. The best thing about him is he's a nasty piece of work to play against; a real master of the dark arts of football.

2.) 28 Jul 2025 11:22:19
Cause he's absolutely bang average and Potter didn't want him, which is why they replaced him with Walker Peters. Also why the fans reacted badly to the idea when we were tied with him a month back on social media, would represent a massive downgrade from Semedo if true!

3.) 28 Jul 2025 11:57:25
Not starting 11 for me though.

4.) 28 Jul 2025 12:29:16
I wouldn't bother with him However, Lima and Doc can play RB.
We just need cover at cb centrally and lcb.
Would sign another lwb though but think Bueno can step up. Plus we have Lopes, Toti and r Gomes who can play there.

5.) 28 Jul 2025 14:01:25
Conor Coady as cover anyone?

6.) 29 Jul 2025 06:43:28
How can we go from signing an exciting young player like Pubil to signing 33 year old has been?

7.) 29 Jul 2025 08:40:15
Desperation

01 Feb 2025 21:14:23
To top it all cunha as signed util 2029 with a release clause.

Abbeywolf

1.) 01 Feb 2025 23:50:23
Great news, to be honest I have no problem with release clauses as long as they are future proof/sensible. I actually think it can help a clubs negotiating position, as in that's the price take it or leave it. It's how Villa robbed City of £100m for Grealish ?

31 Dec 2024 10:05:15
Only 2 game ban for cunha, £80000 fine, will give him chance to recover from his niggles hamstring. Now we just need to keep him at the club.

Abbeywolf

1.) 31 Dec 2024 13:30:08
Makes me think more that something was said by that Ipswich staff to Cunha, be interesting to see if so what punishment Ipswich will get.
As rumours are he made a racial comment to Cunha and Alt Nori.

2.) 31 Dec 2024 16:28:33
Rated, I suspect that and your comment is the first that I've read or seen suggesting something along those lines. These kind of incidents don't just blow up out of nothing unless there is history between both parties. I'm unaware of any history, so I'm left thinking a racist or very personal remark is the possible likely reason.

3.) 31 Dec 2024 19:19:13
Let's be honest it takes something to prompt that reaction of cunha, he can't be the only guilty party. If it was a racist remark ipswich should be made an example of.

4.) 01 Jan 2025 14:20:22
Just be patient for the full report to be released, folks.

5.) 03 Jan 2025 07:50:03
According to the reporter in the Sun today Cunha should have had a 6 game ban and he’s used the example of someone attacking an emergency services officer and getting away with it.
Firstly, reporters should highlight which team they support as there’s usually some reason for their bias opinions and secondly, it’s The Sun so….

I too think something was said by the security guard to get that sort of reaction from Cunha. Hope it all comes out in the wash and Ipswich make an apology!

Here we go then, a game today that could be a benchmark for our season. People saying it's a must win and I'm feeling that that's the way it should be approached.
We've the home advantage, we've the mol partisan crowd and we should embrace it without panic and play with some confidence and authority, and that's where my worries start.
Can we feel confident? Can we play with cool heads?
Agbadu as seemed to be short in attention span, toti slow in his assessments, gomez and Andre (not at his best) struggling to find a way forward and then the passenger of Hwang for whatever the reason.
Kriji worked well in midfield last week and yerson put another man in the back, in theory that should be letting, hopefully, h bueno and ricardo forward up the flanks. I'd like to see Fer and larsen/Arulu up top, but get the ball to them, and again that where I worry, because I don't think we've shown ourselves to be a unit working with others in mind.
There may be many reasons for that, and VP

Abbeywolf

1.) 20 Sep 2025 08:34:20
Its a difficult line up to predict today as I think we have real options available.

2.) 20 Sep 2025 08:42:49
. sorry, and VP will hopefully have been working on this.
I'm hoping of course for the win, 3-1 maybe if we gel, but I'm being honest with myself and think it's on a knife edge, 2-1 either way, or maybe a draw, I just don't see the team coming together as it is.
Geez I hope I'm wrong, and at 5 tonight I looka fool and am proved wrong.

3.) 20 Sep 2025 09:57:20
I think JSL will be involved at some point today. Not sure if it'll be the full 90+ mins. We have good options today. Hwang should not be one of them though. Going for a tight 2-1 win.

16 Aug 2025 07:45:43
Woke up this morning with an unbelievable feeling, after the last weeks and days of gloom, moaning and groaning I'm feeling upbeat. Full of belief and anticipation.
I always like to think we can win come match days, even when my brain suggests other ways, but I didn't think that would happen today.

It has, maybe it's just excitement of a new season, maybe in part to VP's interview yesterday, perhaps its because city may be a little abrogated in their thoughts of themselves, but I reckon a shock could be on the cards tonight and as VP said, the fans will.have to be that extra man.
So COYW, come on the home support and let everyone know that we've got it in us.

Abbeywolf

1.) 16 Aug 2025 10:32:25
Love your enthusiasm Abbey and I must admit that I feel excited about the start of the new season and despite the losses in the preseason matches the real test starts today so am hoping for improved performance and result to match but it won't be easy.

2.) 16 Aug 2025 11:09:51
Ps no idea what abrogated means, I meant arrogant in their thoughts.

3.) 16 Aug 2025 12:01:12
A fiver at 11/2 Derry, I believe.!

4.) 16 Aug 2025 13:24:57
Evade or do away with, apparently Abbey. And I thought you'd swallowed a thesaurus when you went to bed!

26 Jul 2025 19:17:38
Did anyone see the Stoke friendly today? Must stress it was only a friendly, or as lee naylor described it an advanced training session with VP trying out various moves and ideas rather than going for points, which maybe explains our lack of attempts on goal.
Positives today were young lopez, who undoubtedly has talent, but maybe just a little light (mentally) for the prem. Just yet.
Hoever, I was surprised at, his energy and positioning was very encouraging should he stay.
Andre and gomez were Andre and gomez need I say more?
H bueno returned in the 2nd half and showed he can be a worthy replacement for ait.
Both bently and Johnstone shared the game and although relatively untroubled still aren't a patch on Sa.
Rodrigo and Lima had a run out and showed some level of trickery and pace, but again maybe not prem ready.
Sasha made a welcome return but without much action.
My worries were where are our wingman?
Hwang was brought on, committed a foul skied a ball and got hauled down for a pen which he duly took saw saved but played in the rebound.from the keepers palmed save.
I know it was 'a kick around in many ways, nothing serious although toti and agbadu were enraged toward the end with a couple of Stoke challenges, but

Abbeywolf

1.) 26 Jul 2025 19:55:19
Thanks for the summary Abbey, not sure you can learn much from that but maybe VP and his team can. I think the term 'advanced training session' sums it up best.

I still think we need 2-3 decent signings but like you I don't rate Bentley or Johnstone and the defence looks more solid with Sa in goal.

Not overly impressed with that performance, however.

2.) 26 Jul 2025 21:12:40
Having watched the match and fully understanding that it was just a run out as part of gaining fitness in preparation for the start of the season I was completely underwhelmed. Rarely troubled the opposition who seemed to be playing with a greater understanding of their game plan whereas we did seem to be making it up as we went along. No standout performances merely mediocre for the most part so VP really needs to inject some enthusiasm and energy into this squad before it becomes the default position and we sleepwalk to disaster. Pre season, friendly, call it what you will this performance was lacking in energy, creativity and organisation. I will pay to watch the upcoming pre season matches and will be hoping for big improvements.

3.) 26 Jul 2025 21:54:37
Lopez will be fine after a couple of games, reminds me a lot of Salah when he cuts in on his left foot. Hoever always had talent, it was his attitude and effort that was always questioned; maybe he's matured? Hugo Bueno is absolutely capable of replacing RAN, actually a far better defender. If the front three is going to be JSL/Arias/Lopez then we will score goals, especially if Joao is given the freedom to join late in the box. I'm feeling relatively optimistic (unlike a fair few on this site).

4.) 26 Jul 2025 22:04:30
My apologies, I sent before I was finished but, I thought we looked very open and loose, the ideas were there but the players wernt shall I say. We need something flank wise now sarabias gone, bellegarde didn't really perform and I still wonder what munetsi is supposed to be doing.

Obviously arias wasn't on show, but even with his input well need to recruit if we're going to perform next season.
Well get an harder test we'd night against Lens tho, (why are we playing at Walsall?), hopefully we'll see a more of a team performance then. Oh, happy birthday VP.

5.) 27 Jul 2025 00:36:57
Dreamland some of you. This team as it stands will be in a relegation battle from day one.4 or 5 player's needed very quickly which isn't going to happen. Long hard season folks cus the only 2 that made things happen have gone and not replaced. Hope I'm wrong.

6.) 27 Jul 2025 09:23:03
Ditto Lexluna - couldn’t put it better myself.
I just hope we stay up. ???.
And we can do it all again the following season. ?

13 Jul 2025 09:22:27
So, maybe we'll finally find out what Fosuns real intentions are soon. Juventus are apparently interested in Andre and have been given a value by 'wolves' of £32+ m.
If the italians should come up with the cash will Fosun accept? Or do you think they'll say no and build a team around him and gomes? Or take the money and sod our club?
I see this as a critical test of ownership and our future.
Of course maybe it's another report without serious grounding, but it's a big one to watch.

Abbeywolf

1.) 13 Jul 2025 11:03:45
When Andre has only been here for 12 months, and 2 important players have already been sold it would be a huge risk to sell another one unless we're getting £100 million plus in return. I don't think Andre is worth £100m - probably more £40-50m, but with needing replacements and not wanting to risk relegation, it would be a big gamble to sell any more first team players.

2.) 13 Jul 2025 11:10:35
Hi Abbey,
I honestly don't think that would happen. Two things:
VP would walk and rightly so. We have a great midfield.
Secondly Andre has 4 years left on his contract so to sell for £32 Million would be madness even by our standards.
Oh and thirdly I think the level of protest from the fans would be huge.
Fosun and Shi would not get away with letting another quality player leave in this window.

3.) 13 Jul 2025 12:39:37
Surely even we not daft enough to sell Andre Abbeywolf. I agree worth much more than £32m, having sold Cunha and RAN already would be madness to let Andre go for anything really, build team around him and Joao in midfield.

4.) 13 Jul 2025 12:50:57
As I posted yesterday and got shot down, if Andre is sold that would say Fosun have definitely lost interest and would surely lead to relegation

5.) 13 Jul 2025 12:52:34
34 days to kick off and Fosun prioritise placing two shed / porta - cabin type huts behind the North Bank, which apparently they needed planning permission for, as for Wolves fans protesting, those days have long gone, most are customers who are only interested in watching PL, season tickets will be readily available when the inevitable happens.

6.) 13 Jul 2025 13:23:14
At the moment we are a Premier club run by amateurs. It's all about making a profit, how they manage to sell so many season tickets is beyond me.

7.) 13 Jul 2025 15:09:18
Well to be honest I don't think they'd be foolish to sell, as blackfords says it'd be enough to see VP etc walk too, but until we secure someone credible into the squad the questions in my mind over fosuns intentions remain.
Your spot on re amateurs running a prem club Ray, and I finally made the cut for a season ticket this year, sadly I couldn't apply for many reasons, the next minute they said season tickets had sold out. I guess there's an awful lot of people who may feel cheated if Fosun don't do something positive.

8.) 13 Jul 2025 17:01:37
Given that Wolves have yet to replace Cunha and Ait Nouri, it seems highly unlikely that they would be able to add a further replacement for Andre.I believed VP saw Andre and Gomes as vital to the way he wants Wolves to play. This gives hope that a few additions can blend in and create sufficient momentum for a for better season. In my view if Andre is sold it would be catastrophic to the team building, and I cannot see VP staying, nor Wolves surviving. We have a chance to do well next year, but if Fosun blow it, it will take more than a January dash to the sales to save us.

9.) 13 Jul 2025 18:08:02
Has Andre shown any interest?

10.) 13 Jul 2025 21:05:41
There's no comment that I've seen handsome, but there is an earlier quote suggesting he wanted to be a part of a developing wolves team, it could all be 'paper talk' but the suggestion we've put a price tag so low is worrying. Also its being suggested that Sa could be off for 20m. I seriously worry what Fosun are doing. Hopefully I'm being over the top in my concern and we'll have new faces soon and all fears will be allayed.

11.) 14 Jul 2025 08:28:35
Our problem as fans Abbey, is that we judge managements by performance, by their past actions. In recent times Fosun have fallen short, so short that many like you, myself included, have little confidence now in their custodianship of WWFC.

Just seen it i'm heartbroken. His bro too, terrible. News god rest their souls ??

Puts everything else into perspective.
What a tragedy.
Not sure what else to say.
Loved the player and was keen for him to return.
One of the heroes of the Wolves revival in the Fosun era.
Thoughts to his family and friends.

4.) 03 Jul 2025 10:01:50
Unbelievable news, so tragic, so young, what a player he was, RIP Diogo

5.) 03 Jul 2025 10:03:32
Shocked me to the core.
So sad and upsetting. Sincere condolences to his family.

6.) 03 Jul 2025 10:04:39
Such sad news. It puts everything in perspective…for a day or two anyway. Then we will be back to worrying about transfers as if that is all that matters.
But the often repeated Bill Shankly quote about the importance of football, while a nice anecdote, really isn’t true…is it?
R.I.P. Diogo.

VP did not impress or inspire me one bit wandering, and his half time pantomime didn't seem to do a lot for the players. No leader, no common cause. We're going down.

Its the desperation Tfig, after all this time we can't identify and pay for a scouted player. Hackney was inflated, but by not investing it may (will) cost us a lot more.
We're crumbling so fast now in so many ways, if VP can steady us now and get us on route he'll prove to be a miracle worker.

Oh the dreams I'm having LinsayB, seeing nuno last night looking bewildered must have sparked them . But the thought of our wolves being off the bottom tomorrow night then beating Fulham without Raul or Adama scoring against us and climbing up the table to midway by Xmas, then dogs barking woke me and reality sank back in, Burnley will frustrate us, we won't have the creativity to break them and we'll be lucky to get a point.
Seriously I watched the game last night and thought both teams were better than us at our 'best', and you could almost read Nuno planning his changes to improve WH for the future.
Even if we thrash burnley tomorrow and get something at Fulham we'll still end up down the bottom playing inthe fashion VP has had us so far.
It may be onwards tomorrow night but I fear it won't be upwards for too long.
No matter what, COYW.

Who or why Hi Ho was removed nobody as examined to me, isurely we need the adrenalin pumping if we're to lift the lads before a game?
We need that resolve and urgency o Sunday if we're going to make molineux a cauldron of home support .

Should we blame? He openly admits to being more interested in Esport than football so isn't he simply a purse holder who does or dosnt depending on advice given.
So who's providing the advice? Who's saying what's required? Sure he may have denied expenditure but he's also guilty of wastefulness in buying duds.
He's not scouting em out or deciding our tactical requirements, so I'm not attributing him directly to performances. Ok hold him up for ground development (lack of) etc. but he's not directly responsible for results.
Bad advice, bad judgements further down the line maybe, departures maybe but it's not all Jeff.
I once said before do we really think Fosun care about Wolverhampton England UK? Tfig echoes that above. No its whatever they can take and football is a means, once we've gone they'll be gone.
