Sky saying spurs still interested in adama but we've put £50m tag on him. It'll be interesting right up to 11 tonight.

Abbeywolf

1.) 31 Aug 2021 11:02:57
Jeff is rightly playing hardball with Daniel Levy. £50mil paid up-front, for Traore, take it or leave it. No try-before-you-buy stuff.

2.) 31 Aug 2021 11:05:45
I’ve also seen a report suggesting a late bid by Spurs for Neves. I hope this doesn’t come to fruition.

{Ed002's Note - Ruben Neves (DM/CM) Wolves would look to get as close to €50M as they can should circumstances dictate Neves is sold, but they certainly don't want to sell and have made clear that he has a long-term contract and there have been no approaches at this time. Mr Mourinho is a huge fan and has tried to take him to three different clubs in the past - and he would, I am sure be interested in taking him to Roma but their focus right now iselsewhere. He has always been seen as an option to replace Matic at Manchester United, but they have other priorities to deal with first and preferred options - although they are not working out well so Wolves might see an offer. His agent has been actively offering him around and has spoken with Juventus who are looking to offload players but none that I would expect Wolves to be interested in. The Spurs coach would like him as an upgrade to Sissoko and Ndombele but it is likely both would need to leave as they are looking at another addition in midfield as well. Arsenal have preferred options but his agent is keen to have him move on so they cannot be discounted - although failing to sell Xhaka will likely take them out of the picture.}

3.) 31 Aug 2021 12:49:53
Wolves won't sell Neves with 3 years left on his contract.

{Ed077's Note - we will know for sure in a few hours I guess

So trincao joins us on loan from barca. A 21 Yr old with 6 Portuguese caps and a winger. Do assume that adama definitely going be it at a undervalued fee?

Abbeywolf

1.) 04 Jul 2021 11:47:20
Trincao at 21, played 28 La Liga matches, scored 3 goals, with 2 assists and played 7 UEFA Champions League games for Barcelona.
As well as the 6 full internationals.
Another Neto-type player, which is good for us.
Traore still has 2 years to go on his contract, so I believe he will leave only if Lage decides he is not a good fit for his way of playing.

2.) 04 Jul 2021 15:19:56
Trincao was being talked about as a wonder kid a year or so ago and we've just signed him with a future fee agreed! It's odd because the theme on here from many has been that Fosun are asset stripping and next stop on the track is relegation?! People talking about the players we MAY lose, yet here we are three players signed and still none sold?! It would seem that Fosun can't even do a fire sale correctly eh?! 😝 Could it be that they are in fact trying to improve the club, as I said yesterday these conspiracies are laughable really! 🤣.

3.) 04 Jul 2021 17:30:18
Well BULLYS, comings and going’s there will be. Some people are born doom and gloomers because that is how they like to view life or have closed minds like a cabbage. Others accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative. Fosun are shrewd investors who were hampered by the C.V. and as a Wolves fan I and many remain squarely behind Fosun until proven wrong. Bruno must be given a fair chance while he assembles his chosen squad, hopefully with more players capable of slotting seamlessly from bench, as and when.

4.) 04 Jul 2021 23:36:47
Just watched some show reels of Trincao. If he produces that level every week, we are in for a very special player.

5.) 05 Jul 2021 10:11:14
Jas he certainty looks a super player! When you think he went from a small club like Braga (no disrespect to them by the way just capacity wise) to 100,000 plus at Barca. Its a massive jump for a young player. I think for the money we with luck are getting a player as good as Pedro. Here's hoping he settles well and does it for us!

6.) 05 Jul 2021 19:39:38
I have looked at footage of him too Jas looks good excellent first touch and has quick feet.

Everyone is different and has different feelings towards fosun and wolves but for like minded fans it's great being a wolves fan.

7.) 05 Jul 2021 22:39:34
Trincao is a fantastic talent - who Barcelona didn't really want to get rid of but they are in so much financial trouble and struggling to offload Coutinho, Griezmann, Ousman Dembele etc. for anything like the money they paid for them and want/ need so are having to accept reasonable offers for their very talented youngsters.
I know Alena wants to stay and fight for his place but a deal for him may not be dead if Barcelona can't offload other players they may force him to go and as much as he currently wants to stay that may not mean he wouldn't want to come to us if he was forced to leave so I wouldn't view it as a negative if we do sign him (he's another great talent) .

{Ed002's Note - That is nonsense.}

Glad of the win but abit of a laboured victory. Thought marcel was superb and podence running worthy of his selection alone. neves quality in providing seiss with goal. Should of killed them off tho and perhapsunluckynot to do so. Finishing still seems to be the problem. Away 3 welcome points, now bring on Chelsea. COYW.

Abbeywolf

1.) 15 Dec 2021 22:24:01
True enough Abbeywolf, but personally, I'll take a laboured 1-0 over a played fantastic but unlucky 0-1 loss all day long. UTW.

2.) 16 Dec 2021 08:34:54
We did it Abbey mate another 3 points in the bag.
Roll on Chelsea.
The one shop by me sells Chelsea buns ummm being superstitious I will buy some the weekend.
I reckon jiminez Traore and podence will start agaisnt Chelsea and I have no reason not to believe we can get a result agsisnt them.
COYW COYW COYW

Well that was a wet weekend in Norfolk wasn't it. Can't think of anything to say apart from Sa has won us a point again and ask why does Bruno refuse to make changes earlier and with more intent? Disappointed but not surprised. Will watch it on mod later if we havnt got another power cut!.

Abbeywolf

1.) 27 Nov 2021 19:12:24
Abbey you might get lucky and have a power cut! It will be on last I guess most of it being the chances that they missed with poor/unlucky finishing and Sa being his very good self. Thankfully we have a very good keeper though I thought our back three all played well, wingbacks also. There midfield three very much by passed our two which is why he brought Dendonker on not that it made much difference tbh. I think even Bruno would agree with that. Bring on Burnley though that will be another hard game, wish there were some easy three pointers, but sadly not in this league! COYW.

2.) 28 Nov 2021 11:09:41
Have to say this is not the Norwich of a month ago, much improved.

That said we were poor, Abbeywolf with reference to why he doesn't make changes earlier, might be something to do with the depth of the squad, Traore in my mind is not much of an upgrade, he did nothing when he came on, Trincao and Samedo lost the ball constantly, Traore did the same but didn't provide as much of an outlet.

Needed someone with a footballing brain such as Podence to settle that side, and play some keep ball.

Need players Abbey.

A useful point at the end of the day.

3.) 28 Nov 2021 21:54:04
Get your point lordthor or maybe on top of that we were poor and inept against a emerging new Norwich who didn't perform as our research suggested and we had no plan B. Losing pods at the last minute didn't help of course. But we got a point, kept a clean sheet and were 6th. Roll on Burnley, we owe it to all of us fans to avenge the drubbing last year.

4.) 29 Nov 2021 09:05:35
My opinion our 2 wingers and 2 wingbacks under performed in final third with the high amount of opportunities they had.
I can only remember ait nouri having 1 decent delivery when jiminez was a split second too late reaching a good connection in front of goal.

I thought pre game Trincao would of taken his chance with podence not available but he didn't.

Not sure why we play indifferent performances is it Lage is it the players?

Neves suspended for Burnley game dendonker obvious choice a guaranteed change in midfield whoever takes Neves place.

With our erratic performances still continuing agaisnt Norwich any result agaisnt Burnley won't be unexpected.

Clearly I hope we win against Burnley

5.) 29 Nov 2021 11:10:45
I always look positive towards games, but although I think we can do Burnley, I'm really worried for Liverpool, it'll be damage limitation I think.

RIP Ron Flowers. I used to wag school in Birmingham and get the train to Wolverhampton every week and always went into his shop. He and Harry Parkes in Brum were the go to places for sports equipment. Me and my mates always used to ask him if he was Tim Flowers' dad. He was always happy to talk. True legend.

I apologise. i'm ok now lol. Gerrin.

2.) 16 Oct 2021 17:05:36
I'm surrounded by Villa fans. 20 minutes ago they were ridiculing me. Now for some reason they won't talk to me.

{Ed014's Note - don’t be too hard on them! Not ??

3.) 16 Oct 2021 17:07:10
I was saying yesterday about rollercoaster ride today that's the ultimate. From rubbish approach to victory via Pods the guy who showed the grit and fired us up from what I could gather from my buffering commentary. Overjoyed now, enjoying the weekend phil? The adventure continues.

4.) 16 Oct 2021 17:15:52
Even more so now Abbey what pride I have over the moon is an understatement.

5.) 16 Oct 2021 17:19:37
A Villa fan has just said to me "Well we won the European Cup in 1982" and "Our owners own Adidas". This is why Villa are my least favourite team.

I like the club and have worked many matches there as well as Birmingham, Wolves and even Baggies but the Villa fans really do think they are better than anyone else.

6.) 16 Oct 2021 17:36:55
My villa fan work colleague I am fortunate he on the level like you and I Jas.
But one worker a bluenose takes the rip out of me, wolves and wolverhampton all the time I will give him back what he gives me next week at work lol.

16 Oct 2021 16:37:16
Sorry I love my team but sometimes we have to be honest and admit we are our own worst enemies, struggling to pass, no one taking it upon themselves to lead the way. Game plans seem a blank. No subs to change it. 2-0 down and it only seems how many more they'll get. Praying for miracles now. What a shambles.

Abbeywolf

1.) 16 Oct 2021 17:01:41
Shambles?. Bruno Bruno.

2.) 16 Oct 2021 18:02:27
Bruno finally made the sub, left it late perhaps that was the plan? Late out second half, late sub, late winner. The mans a genius. Seriously we showed guts to come back from given them two soft goals and podence is the energy we were lacking, true traore showed his value bypassing 5/ 6 players and hitting their keep, but its the industry Pods shows that we needed. 3-2 overjoyed, its sweeter when you see the desbelief in the villa faces. COYW.

3.) 17 Oct 2021 03:04:04

Everyone as a shelf life tho, Patricio was a dream signing but perhaps age creeps up, I think we'd all agree some aspects were slowing down. I'll never forget his performance in the Asian Cup against man c. Cut head played on and then the penalty saves. Whoever takes the gloves will have a big job on their hands.

Might of been 3 predictions on the trot man of War if VAR was quicker!. Glad traore scored after his miss. Good all round team although I thought samedo was a bit iffy at times. Sa again winning us points. Onwards we go and hopefully take revenge at Brentford next week. COYW.

Don't worry about traore, wheres neves today? Interesting line up with donks in midfield and toti coming in. I'm going an uncertain 2-1 today, uncertain because of saints 5 man midfield and tori's awareness on debut. Fingers crossed here. COYW.

Like it phil, buy I always like a comedy show which it will be whatever the result. On another note which is laughable, according to SKY spurs have offered £18mil for Adama, isn't that what we paid for him initially? got to be a joke.
