Because of the current disconnect from fans and Fosun transfer policy does every one else suspect that the atmosphere towards Jeff on Saturday will be a little bit Toxic (which it should be to be honest). Fans will try and support the team but if and more likely we get turned over by a big margin then it will turn very quickly. I suppose we have a boxers chance of winning but having seen pre season it could be as bad as last season against Chelsea.

MRV, I suspect as soon as we concede on Saturday then Jeff Shi will be enermy no1 again as he was as soon as we conceded against celta on Saturday . I suggest we fans support the team no matter what for the duration of the game as turning toxic during affects the team, fans can do what they want after the game .

I think there will be some unrest on Saturday. However, Man City is a horrible first game to have. If we lose, then even with new signings it would probably be a game we wouldn't expect points from anyway. But if we win, it could give the wrong signal to the board and paper over the cracks.

I think this is proving to be a difficult window for a lot of clubs. Newcastle are in Europe and can't seem to sign anybody either, and Bournemouth have lost their entire defence. When the window closes will be the time to judge it.

My issue with the current board is the failure to increase commercial revenues to help with PSR and that starts with the stadium. It either needs completely redeveloping or relocating to be able to sustain Premier League football. Money has taken over the top flight and with PSR, those clubs who don't generate revenue won't be able to stay in the league or even dream of a regular mid table finish, never mind top 6.

Steve Morgan at least invested in the academy and started to redevelop the ground despite his other short comings. Fosun have got us regular PL football but seem to be ignoring the foundations that can help develop the club.

3.) 12 Aug 2025 14:22:04
I think Bournemouth are second up, that's the game to look at for season long signs, flop that one with most of their defence having been sold and we're most likely looking at a real struggle.

If it is O'Neil could it not be an option to bring back in Moutinio as a coach as he is apparently still living in the area. Would give the new manager a bit of a link between the players and may make it easier to start with.

Like most people Jeff deals with I don't think he left on good terms so not convinced he'd even want to return. Especially with the current nonsense happening!

Agree MRV that’s a great call!
Lop was a sheep in wolf clothing. Let’s move on

MRV if nothing else as a translator when required.

4.) 09 Aug 2023 10:56:13
Short memory comes to mind are you on about the mouts that didn’t want anything to do with the squad the last home game and didn’t want to thank the wolves fans like Raul neves and others did he showed how much the wolves meant to him in my opinion

5.) 09 Aug 2023 12:06:40
JL bombed Joao and Raul and treated them badly. He also fell out with Neves and Podence. It’s not out of the question that Joao would now resign and Adama hasn't signed for anyone else yet!

Is our uncle Jorge in hiding or just on a long holiday as heard nothing from him or "his" players bring linked recently, we still need a minimum of 3 players being a striker, winger and midfielder. Personally if we could get Guedes (cover both winger/ striker) and Nunes then could definitely challenge the top 6.

Have watched the younger players who have been on the tour and I'm sure that several of them will be in or around the first team this coming season so don't expect many more incoming transfers.

2.) 24 Jul 2022 13:58:04
“Uncle” Jorge is a mercenary, out for himself. He’ll use Wolves to put his players in the shop window with a view of selling them on (not an uncommon practice). This experiment failed miserably with Valencia and that is why I was always dubious about the connection with JM. Where the plot thickens is that Fosun own a percentage of JM’s agency Gestifute.

3.) 24 Jul 2022 14:20:24
Difficult to critisize JM when you remember the players he has secured for us. His input stopped us languishing in the lower divisions.

4.) 24 Jul 2022 14:38:35
Totally agree Debs. I also think Uncle J is not so interested in Wolves because Wolves less money.

5.) 24 Jul 2022 15:00:46
Haha, I think your all missing the bigger issue here. Uncle Jorge has one player worth as much as the rest of his entire collection put together and that player currently wants a move! I suspect JM is frantically trying to find a way to get CR the move he wants, he is always going to be his priority I'm afraid! I'm fairness CR famously bought Jorge a Greek island for his birthday, can't see Fosun doing that any time soon! ??

6.) 24 Jul 2022 15:19:33
I can't see us signing anyone whilst we are in Spain and Portugal. Maybe that's illogical but its the way I see it.

7.) 24 Jul 2022 16:28:37
If he was a mercenary Neves would have been long gone. If he is told we have bo money, he won't be doing anything for us.

8.) 24 Jul 2022 16:58:35
@Camo have a look at his antics when he was “advising” Valencia.

9.) 24 Jul 2022 17:55:11
To be fair Deb, not bothered about Valencia. Jota was the only big departure we've had and the truth is he was hit and miss the last season with us and needed the change. With Fosun owning 10%, I presumed we have more control. The truth is we have kept the majority of the players we wanted to, so not sure why people are having a dig at Mendes. The truth is he will only advise for us when asked. The unfortunate problem is Fosun are trying to bridge the gap for their bonds. They have the assets to cope but selling takes time. Finger crossed we will get players in before 1st Sept.

10.) 25 Jul 2022 06:29:47
I think you may be in the minority with this one Debbie. Yes he's been well paid for it but I'd rather have his influence within the market on our side than not.
In fact I'd go as far as to say without his help we wouldn't be where we are today as Fosun was on a very steep learning curve.

That Sterling rumour better not be true if it is I'm done with the club, don't want him anywhere near our club at the money he gets paid. Would only be good if Chelsea paid all of his salary and came on loan. We needed a left back so why didn't we go for Chilwell who's home grown and prem experienced.

Would Alberto pass a medical has he's just had a groin injury and is currently on injured list. Got to be careful with signing players as they will have to contend with Afcon in January

Could also try Mitrovic, used to the prem league and scores goals and a bit of a ruthless streak as well. Artem Dovbyk could be another option.

I suppose if you add the loan fees over the years I don't suppose we lost much altogether. The only downside is the fact that he was classed as home grown.

Don't Wolves do their Medicals in Paris sometimes when a Work permit is required?

Why is no one mentioning Liam Rosenior for the role would do a great job in both short term and long term.

They always say the first sig of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, well step forward Jeff Shi who is the ultimate proof of this statement.

As stated no one with credibility will want to touch us with a barge pole. If people think Nuno would come back when the problem is still here (Jeff again) then think again, would you go back to a company you had a fall out with the boss I think not.

When the same story is being peddled out by 4 previous managers then the issue is still there (Jeff again).

On Fosun they may look at it different and think they bought it for £50 odd million and now worth £350 million so in theory he's done his job.

I don't know how it will turn out but unless something changes quickly we will go down. It will be worse in December when at least 5 players leave to the Afcon.

I wouldn't of thought so as they wouldn't pass the Fit and Proper tests (Or what ever they are called) with the FA

Technically they don't speak to the player they approach through their respective agents (Wolves will also do this through Mendes etc. You need to know if it's worth approaching the club before you put a offer in as they save time knowing the player will be happy with salary etc.
