Reading all the b/s sites stating Neves is ready to leave at the end of the season, if that is the case surely we should be demanding way in excess of the £40-50 million being reported. Looking at fees being paid for inferior players at present £80+million, I think, is not unreasonable to expect.
I understand Neves wants C/L football and if we could offer that I think he would stay, but we are so far from those levels at the moment and if we stay up this season I still can't see us any better than top 10 at best.

Totally agree he is worth more and with Nunes Guedes Traore Costa Jimenez Ait Nouri Podence Semedo Moutinho Jonny all likely to leave we will need all the money we can get to bring in replacements.

Unfortunately the remaining length of contract dictates the value. One year left means £40m is a realistic sale value.
Of course he is worth much more.
