Am I the only one still angry? 24 hours later and still can't switch off at the injustice of last night. Incompetence is ruining watching my team. I need to let it go I know but 8 bloody points so far due to those idiots in black or green or whatever they wear.

On the plus side, so proud of GON in his interview post match and to Max for not falling to the floor.

No you're not the only one:

If the roles were reversed last night and Kilman had 'softly' headbutted Vinicius, he would have been sent off and banned for 5 games for violent conduct.

If Gomes and Wilson roles were reversed, then Gomes would have been booked for simulation.

VAR are killing our game.

It's not just the VAR issues.

The general state of refereeing is abysmal.

No i'm cheesed of with VAR and the officials as a whole.
Peter Bankes on Saturday too he is hit and miss.

Sa and Toti debuts for Portugal tonight with Neves at centre half too!

That's great for Toti SEVLOW.
Along with Sa and if Neto were fit that would be you would assume I guess 3 top quality portugal Internationals playing last night flying the flag for Wolverhampton.

As we approach January there will be the usual rumours linking our best players with moves elsewhere. I get the impression that players will now more likely be sold than moved on as a result of a transfer request if what we are told about everyone being happy is really the case.

Fosun/Wolves acted decisively in the summer to avoid the risk of potential FFP sanctions, rules that they reportedly said they didn't like but would adhere to. We knew that several of our 'top players' would be leaving us then anyway and so it came to pass.

Right now, our change of coach and senior managers seems to be working out and the 'new' team which, to be fair, is still under reconstruction is doing ok. Many of us, including me, had a rant about how we came to be in this situation with accusations aimed primarily at Jeff Shi's over reliance on Gestifute and the poor value for money we had received from that relationship, of late.

So water under the bridge now and we move on feeling, I would suggest, much more positive and looking forward to matchdays not dreading them. Not only that but we appear to be out of the ffp mire, in which currently 3 teams appear to be stuck because their offenses are historical, so they are powerless to change the landscape like Wolves did.

Two of those teams Leicester and Man City are well publicised and the fate of the former should be known shortly. However, a newer name has appeared, Chelsea, probably the reason for ffp in the first place who like City were a mid sized club that suddenly started spending money like water. What is a bit strange according to reports is the club has been dobbed in to the Premier League by their new owners who claim to have found some inconsistences from the previous ownership times. I'm assuming if all this has merit that they hope by bringing it up before it's found, the League will be lenient.

However, if this all contributed to Chelsea's successes under Abramovich should they have the book thrown at them like people want for the other two if found guilty and how much would that impact on 'the look' of the Premier League. How much would it be taken as a warning to prospective 'dodgy' owners, would it scare some off? Any Limited Company and Football Club is a legal entity in it's own right employing Directors to run it within the Law, therefore, a change of Owners or Shareholders doesn't or shouldn't absolve the Company of their responsibilities.

My view is, for what it's worth being, serious infringement of the rules should incur serious punishment, end of.

Anyone on here seriously think we would be in this position had Fosun given Nuno the financial backing he deserved?

SEVLOW1967

1.) 28 Sep 2023 11:12:00
No. I believe Nuno was our best Manager yet. Was liked by all media, players, fans etc. He bought the 'pack' mentality to Wolves. Unfortunately Fosun stopped backing him in my humble opinion and we're now reaping the results.
Would welcome him back again, no problem. Not sure he could sort this mess out though.

2.) 28 Sep 2023 11:22:40
Definitely not, just proves their limitations on ambition, seems like their happy just ticking over, and making do. Under fosun were going no further, it's survival battle forever, but only a matter of time before we get relegated
Untill then, coyw,

3.) 28 Sep 2023 11:39:44
You don't even have to go that far back, I honestly think if we had just managed to keep Lope we would be right behind Villa right now! I know the man was a born quitter but there's no getting away from the fact we were making very real progress under him! ?

4.) 28 Sep 2023 12:31:41
Bully, Lopetequi, like all our recent managers, found Shi impossible to work with.
If I was O'Neil, I would do the same as Lopetegui and push for the big payoff and move on with my career.

5.) 28 Sep 2023 13:44:46
I get your point Rugeley but that approach only works if your confident you will get another Prem job. Unless things change (drastically) can you honestly see any Prem clubs wanting to employ GON after us?! I hope so cause it will mean he turned things round but right now I can't help feeling like we have some guy who arrived on some kind of work experience programme! ?

6.) 28 Sep 2023 14:13:21
When it comes to Gon Rugeley I honestly think he's a fish out of water here, to much too soon. He'd be far better off learning the trade in a lower division. I hope he proves me wrong and turns things around, but I've been thinking that each game. Man u wasnt his doing and apart from the 1st half against Liverpool we havnt looked much like a team, and that 1st half was really all about neto. So I don't think Shi effects him. In nuno and Jlo yes.
We seem to forget the Bruno element in between things and the damage done then releasing players.
We're now in the strange position of having a coach, sacked by Bournemouth, with no true pedigree, trying to lead us away from the style being coached by Jlo. The players aren't looking happy playing his way and we the fans aren't either. This in turn puts more pressure on them. Shi has got a big problem developing, and he's the guy who employs, or trusts hobbs to recommend to him because he dosnt seem to have been hands on in GONs appointment. It's slip shod panic buying of a coach to replace Jlo at short notice and it hasn't worked so far.

7.) 28 Sep 2023 14:29:14
It feels like deja vu Bully.
Santo left frustrated and squad morale was low.and here we are 3+ years later in the same place!

8.) 28 Sep 2023 15:18:28
Just take a step back guys.
As soon as the season finished Shi headed to China till a few days before the start of the new season. So he never got involved with taking on GON. Now GON may or may not succeed here I can only prey he does, but with only TWO backroom staff he has his work cut out.
Regards JLo, SHi was not around to give him the truth about FFP because he knew he could handle JLo who was his own man and wouldn't tolerate interference from Shi or Mendes regarding team selection or player selection. BUt he was cut off at the knees in the close season with the panic sale to balance the books. Hobbs told him that Plan B was to acquire young talent, which he accpeted only to find Shi even blocked that. So he had a boss who avoided him and didn't tell him the truth. What would you have done? Oh and when negotiating he release he offered to take a cut in his compensation.
So this whole mess rests squarely on the shoulders of Shi.
Hobbs has tried to do what he can with the money from the sale on Nunes in the few days that were left
GON is on a hiding to nothing and yes he will get a job in the Chamoinship, you watch

9.) 28 Sep 2023 16:02:49
I agree with a lot of your point Barton but let's not be celebrating that he 'took a cut in compensation'! It is an absolute disgrace that we had to pay him any compo at all considering he was walking and not being fired! I blame Jeff for a lot of things but Lope is equally culpable for this mess! How many Prem managers can you think of that walked from a Prem team, with no job lined up AND still got compensation for it?! Disgraceful the whole lot of um! ?

10.) 28 Sep 2023 21:48:21
Sevlow - I am sure you know my answer as I have made no secret of the fact that I am a massive Nuno fan!
But I just wanted to comment on your point on the financial backing post Seville.
Fosun to be fair to them have backed the club with lots and lots of cash - hence we have been, and if we are honest probably remain, in a massive hole re FFP.
It is just that post Seville, when seemingly Jeff took over running the club from the 3 men who had made such an incredible success of virtually everything they touched, it has been astonishingly badly spent!
Fabio, Hoever, Trincao and Guedes for example have all been total disasters! {Indeed it could be argued that Wolves would have been better off if they had never taken the field for them yet between just the 4 of them (1 of whom was only here for a 1 year loan!), they have/will cost well over £130m including salaries}.  There are also others who have been far from good value - Semedo, Sarabia and Cunha of the existing squad stand out.
So I would actually say that whilst Nuno, if allowed to continue to manage the club with his 2 partners, would obviously have hugely outperformed the actual performance of the club post Seville, he would also have spent far far less money and saved them a fortune on paying off management teams as well!
Note that this outperformance on the pitch would also have generated vast amounts more in revenue - higher league position, cup runs, Europe and surely eventually even Jeff would have been able to parlay that level of achievement into higher commercial revenues!
So losing Nuno has not only destroyed the club on the pitch but also destroyed it financially as well.
Well done Jeff!

1.) 23 May 2023 13:46:17
Yup and they'll get away with it too,

2.) 23 May 2023 13:49:53
I presume this is podence related. So funny that MGW didn’t attend and wasn’t contactable. Good way to build trust with his teammates.

3.) 23 May 2023 17:25:31
They should be suspended for lying and trying to get a player banned. I wanted MGW to work out and have a good career with Wolves, but his actions over the past 12 months have made me really not like the person he has turned into. He's been at the centre of all our issues with Forest this season.

4.) 24 May 2023 00:09:07
I'm fairness to MGW him not being contactable (for me) is more of a sign of character. Considering Johnson apparently described the spitting in detail then it seems to me that he's asked MGW to back up his 'version' of events and the lads said he can't because he didn't see any spit?! Hence the no show? ?

.has anyone seen SQ or QS?

OF COURSE NOT?

1.) 06 May 2023 23:38:45
Marxy on Twitter has gone too lol, he was forever dumping on Wolves.

2.) 07 May 2023 08:41:46
SEVLOW I haven't gone anywhere. I didn't come on here last week and berate the team after a diabolical performance as many did. However after yesterday I am beginning to get to taste the humble pie, but will finish when all the maths add up.

3.) 07 May 2023 08:49:23
Is QS an alt. account of SQ's?

In any case, SQ for a long time has been predicting relegation. He must he / she / they must hate being wrong all of time.

4.) 07 May 2023 10:07:55
I'm right about some things and I am wrong about some things-unlike you Debbie right all the time eh? Not.

5.) 07 May 2023 11:11:17
The nineties called, they want "not" back.

You've been saying for seasons "this is the season Wolves get relegated" I'm sure you'll find something to moan about now though.

Loving the negativity on here after a couple of below par performances which still yielded 4 pts. Too many on here have short memories. So many have already forgotten the pts lost to VAR and where we should be pts wise. It seems to me it is too easy for many on here to moan and criticise at every opportunity.I honestly believe they love to moan.Well, I'm done on here reading the negativity.
I'll enjoy my match day visits to Molineux. All the best to the good ones on here.
