So the bbc are saying we have signed guedes, but nothing on the wolves page. Guess they give everyone Sunday off. I’m please we have signed someone else at least, guess that can put a few worries to bed.

We need a different identity, the football was stale towards the end of last season and it's good he's putting a stamp on things and he hasn't lost the dressing room you can see how the players played very well for most parts considering the lack of depth.
Lage needs time and I think he will get it, not easy clearing out the crap, bringing in new faces, whilst changing to a new formation and tactics. Have a little patience least we can all agree on thing we will finish above crappy man utd?

Interested to hear some views on palace’s result today. Does that help or hinder our game against them next weekend? Personally I’m glad they got their first win as hopefully they won’t be trying so hard against us (plus I always enjoy spurs losing), I know some think playing a team that keeps losing is better but I’m not convinced of that as they have to win sometime. Also palace have a tough trip to villa in the cup on Wednesday, then travelling back up to us let’s hope they are tired and we can get our first win.

From doing a quick internet search it seems villa’s cheapest season ticket is more expensive than wolves cheapest and their most expensive is more expensive than wolves most expensive. Also matchday ticket prices range from £55-£92 at villa whilst wolves range from £37-£71.
As for players with premier league experience out of their last 6 signings 1 has prem experience so I’m not sure you can argue that. I’ll admit that we sign unknown/untested players but personally I prefer than model. They tend to be cheaper both in value and wages. How did coutinho or dendonker work out for villa?
I don’t really get your problem with the shirt maker, again I personally agree with the move from wolves, just because it isn’t a trendy name like adidas doesn’t make it a bad move. I’d prefer a club trying to be different from the rest just like our stance on var, not all clubs have got the balls to go against the norm.
Id be surprised if villa have said expect consistent European football and I’ll remind you their make £60 mil more than us every year so can spend more. Again refer to the psr rules. Also can any club outside the sky 6 claim to get consistent European football? Perhaps West Ham but even they don’t get it every year.

Haha, that the best you’ve got? Obviously I know they don’t have the same issue regarding the temp stand but there is still a sizeable difference between the most expensive tickets and even if you didn’t include the temp stand I’m fairly sure our lowest would still be lower. My point is you complain about the prices but they are comparable to villa’s who you want us to be more like. Anyway surely a budget stand is a good thing.

Seeing as E in Bridgenorth won’t back up their statement or answer any questions about it can anyone else tell me who the serious clubs looking to spend 100 million are? Also how have they managed to spend this much. Is it from player sales? Or are they getting round ffp or whatever it’s called now?
Or is this yet another false statement from E? I can’t work out who EiB is referring to and would like to know what their structure is for running said club. As it would be a good model to follow.

And how did they manage to spend so much? Most of those have sold their best players or youth players to make that money in the first place as far as I know. But you seem to have an issue when fosun do the same. And to get this straight you are comparing us to the likes of man utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and spurs? Just wanted to say my Dad passed away last Monday at only 72. He was wolves through and through so I was pleased to be able to tell him about the result against Chelsea before he died. He played a bit of football in his time and apparently had a mean left foot. I’d like to think you get to do the things you love when you died and could see him on the pitch on Saturday giving Costa that edge and helping the luck fall on our side. We shared a passion for the wolves and I’m going to miss the chats about the game. RIP Dad

None of us really know what’s gone on behind the scenes. As I stated earlier there’s articles saying we have had a £20min bid rejected by Burnley. So all this speculation that Burnley have agreed lower fees then gone back on their word is purely that, speculation. And if recent reports are to be believed, then none of its true. Which means people are criticising the club and Burnley for no reason other than the fact we haven’t got anyone in yet. So who knows if we went in for O’Shea, or the other fella from Burnley. I suspect that after Wednesdays game we will know more as to if we have any interest in their players.

I would walk away from a chippy if the prices had gone up nearly 20% because someone else was happy to pay for expensive chips. I would go home and cook at home as it’s a lot cheaper but yeah maybe won’t taste as good. But it’s better for me in the long run, plus I might stumble on a really good recipe and be like who needs chips anyway!

If Cunha ONLY came because of Lope why did I just read a quote on the wolves wedsite from him saying he took to the project and believes in it a lot?
Also does anyone (maybe an Ed) know what age you have to be and how long at the club to qualify as homegrown? Maybe why we sign so many young players.

I doubt it will be either tbh, feels like both owners are content with managers who might not be seen as top quality. If for slightly different reasons, Everton trying to keep the ship steady till they are sold and us with a project for the future imo. Personally I think Lopetegui will be the next to go, spent a lot in the summer with a few of his signings not even playing much. West Ham fans seem to get grumpy quickly even when winning European cups. Question is would we prefer them manager less or still with Lop in charge by the weekend?

Again it’s different perceptions Abbey, to me shi said everything in his statement in may, we are building a self sustaining club. I’ve said before his comments weren’t worded in the best way, but to me he was saying the process will take a while to build us in to a team that can push for Europe more regularly. 6 month isn’t a long time so I don’t know what you expect him to say that is new. From what I’ve seen we will be bringing in at least 1 cb in jan. Being disappointed we didn’t replace Neto with experience or similar ability doesn’t make sense to me as surely that replacement would cost similar if not more than we got for Neto. Also was Neto a 60mil player when he joined us? Developing players is a good if not the only way to make big money in football. Obviously we would all like the mol to be developed more and yes that is a disappointment but does it indicate fosun have lost interest? I’m not so sure.

Long I stated that of course people can debate these things it just felt like it was every day for the last few weeks. And as I stated we can all see it’s not going very well at the moment, I just don’t see the need to go over it repeatedly. I didn’t say you have to stop and I didn’t call it boring. I just asked what benefit it has when as far as I know Jeff isn’t on this forum, but anythings possible I guess. I will do my best to stop putting positive spin on things, generally I try keep it to a minimum anyway as most people don’t like to hear they might be negative and they def don’t like someone positive being all chipper about things.
Blackford i'm not sure I accused you of criticism of the club, my point was not many new signings for any club play straight away and it seems more of the signings are now getting more chances. Imo it takes time for most players to settle in. Could we have bought players we needed instead of investments yes of course I’m not denying that.
It’s interesting that people keep saying it’s opinions yet when I give mine I get told I’m ignoring the serious state of the club. So basically I’m wrong. It’s all perception, one persons serious is another’s not so bad.

Im not ignoring anything Rugeley, I know we aren’t in our best state at the moment. I just have faith we will improve and finish mid table again. My point was everyday posters are saying we will get relegated and fosun are taking all the money and have no interest in the club. I don’t see how that is a productive thing to do. Yes have the debate but almost every day it’s the same debate.
Abbey is it any wonder fosun are keeping quiet, they’ve been accused of not communicating with fans since they took ownership. Yet every time they do try communicate it’s not good enough. Jeff said early on he doesn’t understand what us wolves fans want, after his communication was criticised. In may he tried to explain the state of the club and the project ahead yet still we want him to communicate more. Why does he need to tell us what the project is again already? He will only get shot down for being honest. These things take time, more than half a season as some may think. Even if he communicated today, by next week fans will be saying he doesn’t tell us anything and they have lost interest. It’s been the same for a few seasons now.
