I think vp has been great last season but that's the thing. he's an immediate gain coach. comes in galvanise and win but then 2nd season he's gone. look at his career profile he never stays more than 2 seasons anywhere. I like him but he's tactics are so so dull. pass across back line to centre midfield then back to back line (repeat x20) then loose ball. Its so boring to watch. Tolu is a big target man can't see how he ain't getting a game when jsl clearly is not doing a gret deal (i know poor/no service) hopefully we get some points next week but we will hve to work hard for them

From what we have seen so far, if we are linked with a player, not going to happen. What is everyone’s thoughts for the result on Saturday, not feeling optimistic myself, want to say a draw but more likely 0-3 to City.

Seriously I can't and I try every game, believe every game, that we can get something.
This week I just don't know how it can be anything bit a defeat.
I'll be willing our lads on hoping for that bit of skill talent luck or mistake to help us, but no. Then I see jerrard Gilliet is the ref and I despair further.

Agree Abbeywolf just can’t see a positive result, guess this is when we need our team to prove us wrong, I really do hope anyway. I remember, in the past, looking forward to games against any opposition and believing we had a chance, probably back under Nuno when anything seemed possible. I like VP it just seems an impossible situation for him at the moment, if Uncle George is struggling it says a lot.

Gents as hard as the task is going to be, keep the faith, anything can happen, Palace on Sunday just goes to show. I we set our stall out right, we can achieve a result of some kind, don't be giving up before we start. When LOP left us in the lurch, we faced Utd away a few days later with very little prep, we turned up and put on a good showing.
I know its easy to despair at the moment, I too feel the same at times, but come Saturday I will as usual be full of optimism and mount my horse for the battle ahead this season, I don't think we will fair as bad as some might think.

I hate predicting a winning score against us but I'm going 0-2 to City, but I hope the fans give Shi an uncomfortable 90 mins. He and Fosun are a disgrace they way they're treating VP, the paying fans and how they're running this club. We have 3 teams coming up from the Championship whose ambition this year will be to avoid relegation and then progress. It seems that Fosun's entire ambition is just to avoid relegation. Well I'm not entirely convinced they'll succeed this year.

Realistically it will be a defeat as the performances in the friendlies did show both defensive frailties and an inability to put the ball in the net.
That could of course be down to a lack of effort, trying to avoid injuries, etc.
I'm not sure it will be a thrashing, however, as Wolves may have a couple of gears to go up. Hopefully, with it being one that matters, so to speak, we may see far more effort and concentration as they will be playing for their place, here's hoping.?

I am still a little surprised VP hasn’t said more about the lack of transfers incoming, you would have thought if deals are not on the way he would have been more vocal. Maybe, and hopefully he is aware of something, selling the club and his intentions/ambitions must be hard at the moment.

God that’s so awful. You hear songs like north London forever and YNWA and then we sing an awful song by the worst “musicians” of all time. What next? Status Quo? Cheeky Girls? Some Scooter?
Why can’t we sing decent songs to decent tunes. I’d even prefer to hear Slade cause at least they are local… but Black Lace? Really? With a song they stole? From a German version of Butlins?
I wouldn’t mind if it were clever but it’s low hanging fruit and I’m sure some people love it but let’s face it… those same people probably love Michael McIntyre and probably have cliff richard in their Spotify highlights. If they can even navigate a smart device.
