While Wolves stutter and stumble, you watch a game between Man City and Liverpool where there is power, pace and near perfection. We are a long long way from that.

Agree0 Disagree0

You've hit the nail there lindsay we've no desire, no urgency. It's asif a lot of the players couldn't give a toss for the club. They'll be off with their wallets stuffed and the famous name of wolves and the support can just fade back down into the EFL, what will they care? They'll have had a step into the English prem on the CV.

Morning Lindsay and Abbey.
You both sum up well our awful state.
The players just don't perform.
Sa: one important save, but the goal, oh dear.
Semedo: grossly over-priced
Dawson: needs someone with pace alongside him
Kilman: only seems able to play with an experienced head alongside
Toti: shows how desperate we were to pick a CB as full-back
Neves: out for 2 games
Nunes: always seems to be on a "work to rule" agenda. Not happy at Wolves!
Mouthinho: odd choice to start
Traore: tried hard which was good to see
Cunha: a good player, but having to play out of position
Podence: good goal, but always at risk of being sent off
Sarabia: not sure why he didn't start?
Costa: worked hard and unsettled Forest
Bueno: hopefully fit soon
Neto: as above
Out of all that, can't see many being at Wolves next season.whatever our League status
ps
After next 2 games and we will be in the Bottom 3.

Not sure that l agree Abbey, the players are instructed to play in a certain fashion/formation by the manager and it would make sense to me to start the strongest starting eleven from the outset and also play them in their strongest positions, neither of which JL did yesterday so we were immediately disadvantaged in my opinion and that will affect the team from kickoff.
Let's play the players to their strengths and stop messing about with strange formations that inevitably don't work. The only time we came alive was when Neto, Costa and Podence came on giving us a much more balanced shape.

Whilst I do see and get your point Winton their were players who don't want to makes runs or be bothered to take the care in the pass that they're obviously capable of. If they've been training to a plan all week they don't seem that interested in remembering or implementing it on sat afternoon. No wonder JL is gesticulating and bouncing around on the line. Nunes was a different player in the world cup, he obviously dosnt want to be with us and he seems to have a lacklustre attitude, that said he did show some passion v Leeds as sub, but then again the linesman had just ran into him!

02 Apr 2023 08:11:23
Hear what you say Winton.
Just put a side the Formations, Tactics, Team Selection for a moment.
What is more unacceptable is:
1. Players losing 50/50 tackles
2. Players regularly mis-passing
3. Players failing to concentrate at key times.
All 25 squad members should be able to demonstrate they are able to deliver those basics.too many are not!

Which World Cup was that Abbey? He only played 73 mins in total and
64 of those were in the dead rubber South Korea game. He's far away from being a trusted regular for Portugal and I think we all can see why.

02 Apr 2023 09:03:18
My point was that he seemed interested and aware, was actually running as opposed to loping around, genuinely caring about the teams interest old wulf. Most probably saw more of what we could have had in those limited minutes than we have all season.

If neves goes, how about replacing him with James ward prowse, only a thought

02 Apr 2023 10:26:11
I think its time2question jl team selection and tactics.chopping and changing every game.i expected9poi nts from bournemouth leeds and forest games.we got 1.thats why wel go down other sides are picking up wins wer not.and all the new signings havnt improved us ex ept lemina.

02 Apr 2023 10:48:15
And Dawson,Bux.Sarabia adds something too as does Gomes. Agreed that the jury is out on Cunha, the most expensive of them all.

02 Apr 2023 11:01:25
I agree Buxwolf, team selection different each, players bought are not producing. I just think that the players are not good enough and lack of goals as we all know is relegation form. I fear the worse.

02 Apr 2023 13:56:30
It's the selection that worries me, the starting eleven yesterday was unbalanced to start with, granted we had the ability to go 5 at back, and maybe should have, but we didn't.our only outlet upfront was traore but out wide it was going to ask a lot of cunha and mouts was never going to provide a number 10 foil role. The second half was screaming for jiminez, JL brought on costa who finally gave forest something to think about but adama had been withdrawn. Where was RAN? Have we got injuries? Is there disquiet amongst the squad? Something dosnt add up looking from the outside. Maybe I'm in the dark, but Bux I'm with you.x

Had my fears weeks and weeks ago about lopetegui chopping and changing the team.
Those fears have sadly got worse and worse.
Why play a centre back at left back who hasn't hardly played any minutes?
Coming into such a huge game.
No shots on target for tge majority of the game.
Why no ait nouri?
Mr Lopetegui you a huge let down expected a lot of good things instead we're woeful.
If our players aren't doing the basics surely it's down to the manager.
What do they do in training all week to go out on matchday and perform the way they do?

02 Apr 2023 19:47:58
Haven't posted for awhile but am roused to do so by the negativity on here from some of the regular posters. I heard ait nouri had been ill so wasn't considered for the squad hence toti at lb as bueno not fully fit yet. Think our home games will be crucial till end of season but think we'll be ok as I still trust in Lope. Possibly change the shape for Chelsea and go 3-4-3 as that would suit our available personnel. I'd go Sa, Dawson, Kilman, Collins, A Traore, Lemina, Nunes, Sarabia, Podence, Jiminez, Cunha

Wolfflea I'm forever the optimist, even after Bournemouth Leeds etc but optimism becomes clouded by reality. Yesterday's performance from the selection through the poor performance and ill discipline towards the end brought home our plight. JL says its a crucial point won, well I think it was a crucial 2 points lost. I havnt given up hope but can I honestly see how things will change?. I said in an much earlier post that we'd see if the players were going to fight for Wolverhampton wanderers or their pay packets knowing they'd be moving on against forest, I think we got an answer. I hope they have a few words with themselves this week and listen to JL's reminder that they're playing for a lot of people, a lot of kids, then turn in a cracking performance against Chelsea with other results going our way. Again we await to see.

Hi wolfflea,
I've been as is aware one of the most positive posters since I came on here.
But with how our team has been recently I'm in despair.
From positive to extreme negative with our chances of survival.
Great to read your post and as always Abbey response ?
