Great! We should stick with Jiminez for the rest of the season. He's improving and is our best option up front. We're not safe yet, but my word today's results have helped.

Just got back and watched the highlights so can't comment too much but I can compliment Traore for his finish. Interesting technique but
it had the desired effect.
3/5 at the back in the second half seemed to turn the game and Semedo was unlucky not to put us ahead. Still one goal without a reply is enough to take the points and so it transpired. Good result following a much better second half.

Only seen the three minutes highlights,hope motd,shows a bit more,but gritty performance,agree jimenez superb.,I think it's easy to criticise the new players,but it's the pace and hustle bustle of a league there not use to,so I'm willing to see how they perform next season,hoping we stay in prem,.

So from someone who's actually been and watched the game: jiminez was not brilliant. He's a shadow of the player we once knew. We need a replacement and have needed one for 3 seasons now.
Mouthino, was excellent in his ability to stiffle the middle of the park and get us on the front foot. I expect he'll get more game time now. It really is a matter of surviving this season, then I think we will see major changes and a top 6 challenge next season.

Imo lopetegui playing risky game as first half spurs should of been out of sight.
Got away with it today.
If we play like second half all game I will be more confident of us getting the results we need.
But happy of course we won today.
Come next Sunday it will be a whole calender year without one of our strikers scoring if I have read and remembered correctly.

We are not safe but I am starting to believe now that we will be I mean who wouldn't have taken 13th on 27 points at Christmas?
The division is top5 then 6-11 and 12-20 where any of the bottom 9 can go down. I reckon 35 should be easy enough to stay up this season but we are capable of 40 that's 4 more wins and a draw etc

I thought Raul was great actually so disagree with the above. He got into great positions and linked up well with Cunha when he came on. First half was pretty poor from both sides. However Raul clearly grew in confidence and made some great runs, got ahead of his defender with his headed effort and was just offside when she slotted in the 2nd that was disallowed. He was isolated in the last game and yes I agree he is not in the form he was a few seasons ago but still can do a job for us until the end of the season.

Forgetting jiminez striking play, listening on radio it seems his effort and contributions to the game on the rest of the pitch was a valuable part of our game, chasing down blocking and defending, we wernt going to get that from Costa for instance. Whereas I can in no way can comment as sharesum can,I felt raul contributed an awful lot more to the win wether back to his former self or not.

Having watched the whole game yesterday, Raul had an excellent game compared to other showings this season. Yes it wasn't like watching him play 4 years ago, but he did the things that he is good at. He had got in a habit of trying to take players on, which he can't do as he has no speed. Yesterday however he was back closing down the defenders, linking up with forward players, finding space and getting shots away.

Let's just pause, ok Burnley was a disaster, Liverpool we were always going to be hard pressed to get anything but if I've calculated correctly that's 10 from the last 6 matches and 17 from 11 under JLo with the other 2 defeats City and United, hardly matches we were going to get anything from either. So still on target for around 45 points.

Great tacticle changes made in 2nd half, really disappointed with Nunes who kept giving the ball away.He is overrated. What a difference Mountino made in midfield he played superb. Traore played well. All the subs played great what a diferent 2nd half. Neves was good we just need to score more goals so I can relax more instead of being stressed out. Fingers cross that we stay up.
