Guys v v sorry to see such a worried and depressed board when even our most positive posters are in despair.
I am and have been a bear (and until recently a Cassandra ) ever since Seville and have been over the reasons why many times before so won't do so again now
What is clear is that 28 points won't keep us up - it may even be mathematically impossible I don't know as I haven't looked at the remaining fixtures in enough detail but surely it won't!
A few weeks back I wrote a piece on how and where we got the points I felt we needed to stay up, high 30s, using the golf course analogy.
For several weeks we were well ahead of par and looking quite comfortable however two defeats at home to teams at the very bottom of the table not only have denied us the 6 points I thought we would get but also gifted vital and valuable points (and hope) to our rivals. We are therefore right back in the mire!
However fortunately it now seems highly likely that we won't need high 30s but perhaps only mid ish 30s, 36 maybe could be enough to stay up? Consequently we may only need another 8 points to survive?
Sadly though at the moment we are surely undeniably the worst team in the league, (don't look like and don't score (ing) but do look like and do concede (ing) and even 1 more point it could easily be said seems unlikely!
BUT! Only a few games ago for Fulham away and Liverpool at home, we were actually very good - top 8 material? Consequently whilst I expect us to lose the next two at home we can (and indeed should/must) beat Everton and Palace (who by then will only be playing for a sun tan!) at home and pick up points against Leicester away and Villa at home (Villa may also be done for the year by then but I doubt they will lie down for us!) which should be enough to survive.
Anything from these next two is therefore a bonus and with that lack of pressure maybe we will perform better as we seemed to against Spurs and Liverpool!
Anyway there will be enough time for doom and gloom (and recriminations!) if the worst does happen but in the meantime.
Keep the Faith!

A good post Future. I will be watching other results, starting tonight,to see how they affect us. I always hope for the best but we're in a situation that could easily become heavily dependent on the performances of our relegation partners and they all seem to be Improving. To be sure it is almost certainly going down to the wire. I live in hope that we have at least a couple of decent performances left during this latter part of the season. With the players we have at our disposal we should be capable of turning around the dismal performances we have watched lately.

I know Winton, it is so frustrating.
We have the technical ability, but unlike many of out relegation competitors, we lack the heart to fight hard for the cause.

I agree with you all and yes good post Thefutureisoldgold.

Winton and anyone else if you watching or keeping an eye on tonight's football would be mighty fine if you can get your thoughts on Chelsea tonight too.

Sound.

I have faith in our wolfpack all deserve to see wolves back going in the right direction.

Maybe Saturday will be our turning point and we can kick on and rise a few places up the league.

Turning point soon we hope Phil.
If it does go to to the last day for Wolves, let’s hope Arsenal will have wrapped up the title and have one foot on the beach!
