Great post by LongmyndWolf. Many a true word said in jest and not so far fetched. A legendary Wolves manager, Major Frank Buckley, actually injected himself and the players with monkey glands, just before the 1939 FA cup final against Portsmouth. Wolves were hot favourites, but lost 4-1.

VP, please don't copy.

You're right Deep throat, didn't improve there game but you should have seen how they could swing on the crossbar?

"Just before his move to Molineux, it had been reported that Lopez wasn't particularly happy with the nature of the transfer to Wolves"

I mentioned this in August, hope he's settled in now.

Fear not Wolfy's I think I've found the solution to our problems. Too much negativity will get us nowhere, therefore, I have decided to re-double my efforts to help Jeff and the Owners achieve their lofty ambitions for the club, spurred on by Jeff's recent inspirational leadership interview's.

To this end I've ordered my first batch of Positive Thinking Crystals which could prove to be the breakthrough that Jeff's been looking for as a low cost alternative way to run an elite football club.

For the Players: CARNELIAN for confidence, courage, motivation, strength, balance and creativity.
For VP: AGATE helps you trust yourself, release self judgement, happiness and stability.
For Jeff: ROSE QUARTZ clarity at work, good relationships, love, positive energy and harmony.
For The Fans: JASPER soothes the nerves, encourages positive change and increases mental stability.

These stones will be a game changer as support for the Club will exist on a higher astral plain, where failure is just an abstract concept, so never mentioned. Irrespective of results we can all then use the word 'positive' with impunity.

It can't fail, so don't kill any cuckoos, kiss any nuns and keep your fingers crossed, it'll be fine. Incidentally, if anyone would like any of the stones mentioned please address your enquiries to:

Dream On Limited
1 Relegation Close
Up Sh*t Creek Lane
Dillusionville
No Hopeshire
Fairyland

That'll sort it. UTW.

Love it longmynd, 😂😂😂

13 Oct 2025 17:18:10
Fantastic Long 👍

13 Oct 2025 22:01:10
Brilliant long
Only flaw in the plan is if said crystals do actually work Jeff will be flogging them to the highest bidder in January then scout the South American market for cheaper rough diamonds which will be polished by us then sold off to the highest bidder once again, this will obviously be vitors fault that us as fans get down and our official wwfc mood rings ( patent pending) turn black so Jeff will sack him and bring just as the ink has dried on his new long term contract, he will then bring in a another manager with the promises of many many sheckles only to realise he’s spent all the gold on crystals and mood rings 🤣

13 Oct 2025 22:46:31
That made my day Long 🤣🤣

14 Oct 2025 06:44:43
Class Long!

14 Oct 2025 10:46:20
Very good linhay but De wolf would be about the size of it.lol

14 Oct 2025 15:26:40
To be honest De Wolf if this works, forget Jeff, I'll be selling them to the highest bidder.😂😂

14 Oct 2025 22:51:55
I’ve just had an email from the club shop, going on sale tomorrow Jeff shis patented snake oil, but one get one free, endorsed by Julen Lopetegui allegedly 🤣🤣

15 Oct 2025 11:32:46
Yeah! In your face Lopetegui! …oh, sorry 🫢

13 Oct 2025 07:42:05
Absolute minimum points required from next two games is four, would hope to get six .

13 Oct 2025 12:20:59
I agree. If this doesn’t happen we will have to consider Vitor sack. Also considering signings for January, we’ll be dead in the water. We need to think about now, free agents?

13 Oct 2025 18:06:14
Yes agree minimum 4 points from next 2 games.
Also Wolves fan man please stop this continuous nonsense about free agents it's not happening.

It's no good having money to spend
If nobody wants to come for pitiful wages
& a club that as no ambition.
We need some really good sponsors
People who are willing to invest in wolves
Otherwise
Things will never change.

All the talk about spending money in January to hopefully kept us out of relegation zone if they had spent this so called budget with what we spent preseason we might not be in the mess we are now because that’s what it is 😭

That's their tactics, sell off our best, spend a bit in the Summer, see how it goes then spend again in January to ensure no more than Premier League survival. All about the value of Fosun's investment and nothing to do with football, ambition or the needs of the fans.

It's the downward spiral that some of us have been predicting for years and getting shot down for it. I think most can see it now, however.

11 Oct 2025 05:41:31
Still a few in denial Long.
They seem to struggle differentiating concerns with the management of the Club with being a caring fan.

11 Oct 2025 14:47:43
I know rugeley, it gets a bit tiresome when you have the audacity to criticise fosun and all the happy clap brigade tell you to go and support the 💩
I love the club and have been going since 1980 but cannot support fosun in what they are doing, they are systematically eroding the integrity of the club, loyal fans that were going in the old 4th division in the freezing cold and rain are just an annoyance to the powers that be now, they want the tourist and corporate fans who will spend silly money for seats and merchandise

11 Oct 2025 17:52:16
The footie season falls into a familiar rhythm with Fosun at the helm. I believe I mentioned their business plan a few years ago, to buy young and cheap and sell on for maximum profit. As an investment company this is their raison d'etre, to make profit and/or sell with enhanced value. They have discovered how difficult this is to do in the Premiership without a global presence and a huge stadium. They made some effort to enhancing Wolves profile globally, spoke of a new stadium, then COVID hit, and as a group Fosun, who were highly geared, were caught with their pants down. Since then the group has sold assets to reduce debt and focus on the profitable cash producing parts of their empire. Wolves value has improved since their purchase but the plan to create a club that figures highly on the World stage and to create huge value is long gone. It offers the group none of the high profile they envisaged. They fail to understand the connection with fans, they understand only what makes money. I have previously referred to the statement they made in the 2022 accounts.that their intent was to dispose of assets that do not produce cash. Hence their lazy approach to the summer window, knowing they have the capacity to spend in January to save Prem status. This is a view that lacks understanding of Prem football. I believe their intent is still to sell, their problem is who is going to be the buyer?

11 Oct 2025 19:18:40
I seriously suspect the long term intent Wimborne, given all the geo political activities. Do fosun really care about a football club in Wolverhampton England UK? The world has moved in so many ways since their takeover.
As you say covid caught us, as Tfig would point out Seville a turning point.
We've had disaster after disaster managerialism and a decent squad squandered again and again, now we've reached a point whereby players don't want to join us allegedly for whatever reason.
What's the deal with VP? A 3 year contract after a terrible run of games, seemingly nonsensical subs costing us points and maybe a lost dressing room.
Sure he's got a connection with the fans a nunoesque familiarity maybe, but the results, the tactics and points say it all premiership survival wise.
Can fosun lay claim to parachute monies and then sell when we fall?
I've no idea but the sooner they've gone the better, we maybe worse off than when they arrived but would they care?

12 Oct 2025 10:24:17
I think you have all pretty much summed up the mess we are in, Abbeywolf, I am with you, very strange in my opinion giving VP a new contract, that is of course unless there is a clause on points achieved. Having no confidence at all in Jeff and Co not sure if this is likely. Really hope we achieve a decent points return in the next 3 or 4 games, what happens though if we don’t, will VP be replaced? What a predictable shambles, so far they have always managed to survive, just, eventually we won’t.
