First fantastic result 3 v big points when my schedule had us getting 0! As has been commented we all know there will be good days and bad that lift us up and drop us down but this was a big win! We are without doubt well on schedule for survival and if it comes from beating teams we shouldn't and losing to teams we should beat I don't care. Let's get to the summer as a Prem team and start to worry about sorting out whatever issues exist then!
Second big shout out to E from Wombourn, Phil and Long who all suggested to JL (on threads on here!) that reverting to 3 at the back might be the way to go - and it was! Clever boys! Finally I'd like all your views as to this thought - Neves is one booking away from a 2 game ban. If he is booked v Newcastle away ( a game that would probably be regarded as one of our toughest remaining fixtures) he would miss Leeds and Forest - 2 games we simply have to pick up at least 4 points from. So would you hide him away from the game at Newcastle to ensure he plays v Leeds and hopefully, (assuming he doesn't get booked v Leeds) Forest?Keep the faith!

Well it might be an opportunity to throw the armband to Dawson.

Hi Thefutureisgold.
Thank you for your recognition and it is good to see the ex Spain and Real Madrid manager current manager of Wolves reads the banter pages and takes on board the ideas of Phil Longmynd and E from Wombourn.
My advice to him on the Neves situation is prepare for the next match and take it one game at a time.
If Neves is fit and able he plays and we go to the North East to try and win the three points.
Pedro Neto did not look match fit so I would put him on the back burner for a couple of more weeks using him sparingly.
Moutinho looks like he wants to fight for his place and may be worth considering in place of Nunes or Sarabia.
Cunha looked like he’s ready to knuckle down and battle so I start him alongside Raul.
Got a feeling Toti and Joao Gomes are going to play a part against The Toon and could spring a surprise.

No problem E I hope he does read the pages as we. (well mainly you lot) are obviously a very clever bunch don't you know! - sorry!
For me - as a well known bear - i'd go Sa Semedo Kilman Dawson Collins Otto (amazed as he has looked completely blown previously and am a big fan of RAN) Lemina, Gomes, Sarabi, Cunha, Jimenez in a 5,2,2 1 system leaving Moutinho, Adama etc to ride to the resuce for the last 30 mins or so if required/to see out game/ go win it!

Nice comments Tfiog but in reality it's more like learning from the lessons of history.

When playing 3/5 at the back we free up a lot more resource to hit teams on the break and it makes our midfield/attack much more effective. Yesterday I think the second half proved that and it changed the course of the game.

Not sure how long you have been reading the site Long but I have been a long term and strong supporter of the system - I boringly bang on about systems a lot - so completely agree wih you!

Long and Tfiog, I tend to agree, if we can play 5 without Cody I would be inclined to give it a go.

I agree with Wimborne it's one match at a time and play for 3 points if possible. I've predicted a draw at Newcastle and wouldn't be surprised if JL would accept 1 point and maybe pick a team to do it, or maybe do a Bournemouth, nick a goal and hold it. If neves was part of the plan then play him.

I get where you coming from your question posed regarding Neves play or not play him at Newcastle but my opinion on what I think is best of which lopetegui will if my opinion is what lopetegui decides Sunday is what I think.
Neves will play as we want to maintain the we go there to win attitude and if Neves doesn't play it will give a big disadvantage to our teams progress.
Great question as the answer is there Sunday and all will find out then.
