Wow then. An opportunity missed, but not too much damage done. Burnley next and we'll beat 'em 2-0.
Phil, you are the main man on here so keep your pecker up. What's your forecast for the Burnley game?

Agree0 Disagree0

As long as we finish above Leicester I ain't bothered.season finished now for me.Leeds and Newcastle needed to win and we failed so that's it

Watching Burnley as I type. They haven't got a lot.

Burnley can’t even score against Norwich. Have to get something against them. Purely for points, European football next season is dead in the water.

Based on the last two transfer windows does anyone think the owners trust Jeff to bring in the players we need to move to the next level?

But hey the teams above us all lost too so it going to be the teams that finishes the season the least crap that play in Europe!

Yeah and Leicester 3 games and 9 points behind us probably nothing to worry about as we have to get above ManU or West Ham or even Spurs to get something from the season

I don't know Debbie. 6 points against Burnley and Brighton, and things will look a little more rosy.

With everyone else seemingly doing their best not to qualify, European football is far from dead in the water but unfortunately it's Burnley next and they usually have our measure no matter how poor they may be against other teams.

We'll beat Burnley if Lage plays Neto, Podence and Raul up top. The pace and ball on the deck will win us the game because they'll beat us everyday if the ball is in the air. Please no Hwang or Trincao in the starting line up.

Have to say would not drop Fabio Silva, have to eat my words and say that he as improved 100%, and as been feeding of crumbs for a striker, looks lot stronger and been working realy hard for the team is goals will come if he keeps working like he as,hope it's against Burnley, results went for us at weekend so we still have something to play for,so let's get behind team.

Burnley were a bogey team for us, mainly due to Chris Wood. He's now doing the same thing at Newcastle. Patricio was a weak link against Burnley, as they targeted him in the goal area. As long as we have Podence and Jimenez we will beat Burnley.

Can't agree Big. He's still some way off challenging Raul despite the improvements. Still has to learn how to head the ball, too.

Old Wulf - I think Raul is more likely to score the poacher type goals but Fabio is doing more for the team currently than Raul was when playing (not sure if due to loss of confidence or just a striker slump which all the best players can have) but it's a tight call as to who to play and I actually don't mind either way at the moment.

I don't think the Burnley result is a foregone conclusion either way as they are fighting for their lives and likely to have a rebound reaction having played so poorly against Norwich - having said that we are the better team and should be able to win if we play well.
