And further evidence that we need what we all know we need. Yes boly missed at back, yes neves static, yes we need some movement up front. It was a lazy sort of friendly with no real look to scoring. MGW is though looking promising imo although he has a lot of work to do.
It was just like old times for a while but traore (for whatever reason) looked sharp at times but again he was running to no where. Samedo had a good game going forward. Trincao is going to find it a hard baptism in the prem. However we controlled very much everything in the 2nd half let down by knocking around and around and across the box without penetration. Baht would have seen red for his barge on raul in real circumstances and gave a shove on what should have been a penalty on tricao. It was too much like a negative nuno set up today and I hope we see a more positive approach tomorrow. New personnel soon fosun!

You've spent all season complaining. Why don't you explain exactly how the problems can be fixed. Also, if you simply say buy more players and sell some players, just confirm the plan to sell the players you claim ain't good enough and how we finance the incoming players.

So Fosun had the chance to sell the club but refused, have just linked the club to the biggest esports company to expand our brand and have confirmed that plans to expand the ground are still in place. Definitely looks like they've lost interest.

Actually Jas I agree with pretty much all you said. I tend to be positive because I see no point in being negative. But it would be nice if Jeff Shi were to pop out from behind the curtains a perhaps give us a clue as to what he is doing to improve the squad, something we clearly need! After all I and I'm sure all fans would like to know!

Didn't Bruno Lage give an interview the other day where he said he wanted 2 players for each position.
Why does Jeff Shi have to come out and say anything? I've never known Tixi at Man City, Daniel Levy at Spurs or FSG give statements about the transfer strategy at their respective clubs.

And this is why people like myself and Future are taking a back seat on here. Its the same EVERY transfer window, a natural void is created by the lack of actual news and the usual suspects just fill the space with whinging!
It wouldn't be so bad if it was at least coherent whinging but to be honest it's a kin to a child screaming at a balloon as it floats away into the sky! Even the Eds (rightly:) asking why people are saying Fosun have lost interest?!
I think the biggest problem is that most on here just don't seem to get how modern owners operate (again the Ed has rightly made this point before:) Gone are the days where the chicken farmers of Blackburn are shouting about signing Ronaldinho and what a relief it is!
The modern owner doesn't feel the need to fill the dead space with pointless, empty promises that they could never have fulfilled anyway! As people bang on about Fosuns silence could someone please show me an owenr that's doing weekly podcasts?! And more to the point what would the value in it be?! Modern owners have the sense to do what they need to and spending hours coming up with perfectly worded catches phrases means absolutely nothing, do you think the City fans are worried by what the Sheiks up to this week?!
No, Jeff is busy doing his job and luckily part of that does not cover stroking the confidence for a few negative fans (again what a relief that is)! 🤣
Also Ken I used to say the same about signings fella, assuming Nuno was being overuled. How surprised I was then when I discovered that in fact part of the reason Fosun fell out with Nuno was due to his not listening to Sellars or the rest of the transfer team.
Nuno wanted Semedo and Nuno chose Podence (over Olmo), not going over old ground here more just making the point that I'm pretty sure Bruno would be given the same respect on that front ðŸ‘.

BullysBoy. I have been very positive about both the club and our new manager most of the time. Podence or Olmo comes down to opinion. When he first arrived I thought he was very good and sadly last season he was injured most of it. Semedo has taken a while to settle but I expect a lot from him this season, hand me out to dry at the end of it if you like!
Last Summer's transfer window was poori think most of us would agree to that and the lack of a larger squad hammered us during the season due to injuries. My feeling's are as I said when Bruno was appointed I thought it was very low key and unusual. I don't feel that we have a terrible side and we will not be in danger of relegation but after so many years of woe is it wrong to want the good ones to continue? Is it wrong to expect a hands on guy like Shi to come out and say we are actively looking to improve our squad. That's all I've been saying. Is that so wrong. I don't see that as moaning!

On the transfers I will say what I do every window, let's evaluate it at the end of the window cause that's when it matters. You are correct the last two weren't good but if honest I also don't think it was as bad as some have made out either. The problem is that we got the biggest deals wrong and that can sting.
I was also just making the point that I think some peeps don't get how modern owners operate. Jeff may have overseen the esports deal but I suspect he has VERY little to do with transfers. He pays people good money to do that job and he HAS to put faith in them. As for the updates I'm not sure what people want him to say, nothing has changed. Genuine question to anyone on what they expect to hear him say?! The plan is still the plan, short of him popping up to say 'all is well everyone have a good summer, I'm not sure what else peeps want?! The market this year is a slow one so (for me) I don't see the value of panicking. Look, I know we all want what's best for the club. I'm just not sure why some seem to think that a company that has the most to lose over anyone associated with the club suddenly don't want to improve the value of their OWN investment?!

I'm not asking for players that we can't afford that would be stupid but all was requesting was a bit of clarity. Bruno wants two players in each position actually that's pretty much what I would like! I just don't want half of them to come from lower age squads unless they are ready to benefit from the experience. Is that a big ask?

Why is everyone going off on one? I'm very positive for next season but it's no secret we need to recruit to maintain our chances. Being objective in criticism is only fair and one man's opinion not necessarily the same as another's. Although I'm optimistic I can recognise others worries, then there are the deliberate s**t stirrers.
Regards Fosun and Jeff Nuno goes without clear reason, we've had big announcements regards Esports and as far as I know its promoting Wolverhampton wanderers globally, if it is great, and it will be an income. We've dropped Adidas and got castore (Adidas a global brand) in order to keep more income (if generated to the same level) . What we havnt had is reassurance that we are going to carry on progressing squad wise. Its not a normal close season due to cv the season starting earlier with euros and a month still to run in the transfer windows. Some of us are worried we'll lose our big names and decent replacements not made. We hope everything is in place but who knows? I believe in fosun I understand Jeff not banding words about that can be misconstrued but as a die hard wolves fan the uncertainty in itself gets misconstrued. Brunos ideas perhaps could be outlined more. Anyway rant over bar reiterating my thought that we'll start August badly and then being pushing top half of table. And I m not going to be shouting Bruno out after 3 defeats. Onwards. COYW.

No Ken, I don't think that's a big ask and like you say the man himself has said that (2 players per position) . But surely that's what he seems to be doing right now, using his freidnlies well to test out who may or may not be ready? Until he knows the answer to that he may not be certain where he needs to spend? I've said it before, the club have VERY specifically chosen a manager that has built his cv on youth development. I'm sure that wasn't a coincidence or accident. Like I say let's debate the transfers once the window shuts, cause until then we just look like a group of kids shouting 'But I want it now' at a shop window! 🤣ðŸ‘.
