Imo we should try out a back 4 in the coming games (e. g. notts forest) as we aren’t great defensively anyway with a back 5 and it could let us add a bit more beef into a midfield 3 with 3 further attackers, or let us revert to Bruno’s favoured 442. At times vs Leicester it seemed to me as if our biggest downfall was having too many defensive minded players on the pitch.

My preference would also be to try a 4-4-2 formation.
When fit I’d play Boly at the back with AN other (Kilman pending a suitable purchase) .
My preference for full-backs are Hoever and Marcal as they’re better defenders than Semedo or RAN.
In front of that defence I’d opt for a midfield diamond with Coady playing just in front of the centre backs.
At this stage Neves and Dendoncker would play higher up the field on either side of the diamond with Trincao at the front of the diamond feeding into Traore and Jimenez up front.
We should be well motivated for the Spurs match so let’s hope a piece of brilliance will win us the day allied to a battling and organised team effort characterised by no individual mistakes. Pretty much do to Spurs what they did to City.

It depends on who we sign and how long it takes for Neto to return. I think Lage needs to create special teams situations for set pieces (like in American football) to help those facets of the game to earn us points rather than lose points from them as we did last season. Fine margins count. In my book Moutinho should be used sparingly this season.
