Hey just reading all the posts about how we joined etc. And mentioning certain posters. No one mentioned one of my favourites Gee wolf, with his weekly pre match predictions. I hope that whatever has taken him from the site has brought him peace after the rough time he was having. So just for gee, wolves 8 saints 0.

I was thinking of gee wolf a few weeks back but slipped my mind when I was posting the weekend when I first joined this site.

His isolation should have been over Ed? According to the media, he was contacted before the first England game. Does that mean he tested positive after 7 days? Otherwise he should have been clear to play?

It was reported on 12th Nov that Coady withdrew from England squad. The week later reports say he should be available to play against Southampton as his isolation period would be up? I'm not gossiping Ed, just the maths don't add up?

Obviously Conor a massive miss for us sadly. I must admit I would prefer Marcal to Rayan, I thought he was much better when he replaced him against Leicester. We shall see I guess. Good to see Traore start, it's up to him to show us what we've been missing. Hope he's up for it. Better had be! COYW. 2-1 I reckon though 5-1 would make me smile!

Anyone watching and wondering how Vestergaard (Sp) didn't get booked (or on a bad day sent off) for the professional foul on Traore when he beat the first two and was driving towards the box with no Saints defenders between him and the goal?
Just seen Traore's first touch of second half - fouled within 0.5 seconds!
I make that 4 bad fouls on him already - no bookings - he did one - v similar to one we just saw and was booked?

Just writing that after 65 minutes Jimenez had done virtually nothing and then he misses one from a lovely Moutinho free kick that frankly all you Sunday morning football boys would have felt ashamed at missing!
What is going on?

ps Seemedo looks good going forwards (nearly as good as Doherty! ) but sadly what we are clearly seeing is that Barcelona full backs don't have to defend and 100 games for them hasn't made him a fb and tonight that has cost us.
Fingers crossed Coady is back and he can revert to RWB where he is showing real promise.
ps another bad foul by Vestergaard (sp) - still no bookings
but Jimenez has done something - v good and but for a yard to early run would have been the hero.

Well surely 2 points dropped but could so easily - Walcott 1 on 1 - have been a defeat.
We must have missed 7 -8 gilt edged chances.
We also need to toughen up - we got outmuscled all over the park and off the field we need to develop a better "line" to the FA/ Refs/ Prem League whoever
If Fergusson or Mourinho was the manager we would have 15 more points a season just from refs decisions that go against us. Tonight nothing major - I didn't think it was a foul on RAN so won't complain about the goal - but every 50 50 went against us and even some 45/ 55 went against us.
Maybe our Portuguese guys are playing to European rules and English refs play to a different standard? {Although they seem perfectly able to give free kicks etc when MU etc are playing? }
Finally has Traore been excommunicated and is therefore not covered by the usual rules of society because it does seem that defenders get carte blanche to foul him without any consequences?

Particio - 6 (had no chance with goal and only made 1 save but was solid )
Seemedo - 5 ( ok (no good! ) going forward but was asleep for goal)
RAN - 6 (ok going forward but needs to improve defensively)
Kilman 5 (struggled first half but got better)
Boly 5 (got caught out positionally a few times - communication with Kilman was poor)
Neves 4 - (despite 3 in mid was over run in first half )
Dendonker 4 (v v quiet)
Moutinho 6 ( showed quality in 2nd half when we dominated and Southampton were forced back - so he had no def duties - perhaps needs to play in 5 3 2 formation - but without 2 goal scorers up front that can't be picked so not sure where we go with him! )
Podence 8 - (excellent creativity but must finish better! )
Jimenez 7 ( was awful until late into 2nd half but then did what he is supposed to do! )
Traore 6.5 ( 4 first half 9 second - best 45 mins for him for a long time but needs to do more and we must make more from it!
If he got the proper and due protection from refs that would go a long way to helping though)
