Tbh with you it's the wake up call we might need. Awful defensively, but overall not our night. We will come back stronger but that was a kick in the teeth to put it mildly. This will spur us on. Nuno will make sure of that.
All things aside, I don't always agree with Spiers. But I think he is right in saying we should be looking at Centre half. It's what needs addressing now. Expect someone might come in.

What can you say about that pathetic display, spent millions on what, unbelievable only the goalkeeper played well, why are we so negative, very slow and predictable in our play and do we ever have a shot at goal,3 games on the trot now Nuno needs to sort it out, because we will be at the wrong end of the table playing like that, we had nothing to shout about at the back, in midfield and in attack in fact we played like a team that as lost our way, what worries me is were are the goals going to come from and how many will we need to score to win a game with our defence playing like this.

As much as I admire moutinho, probably the best player I've seen wearing the gold, he looked lost tonight, and has for a bit in my opinion. Too slow in everything that he is doing, even his corner's and free kicks are off the mark.
Boly is no right sided defender, if he's not going to be playing on the left then he has to be dropped, just not played well since he returned from injury.
Neves is ineffective the deeper he plays and looks off the pace of the game, I can't remember the last time he took a game by the scruff of the neck.
Vinagre, I don't know where to start. If we have someone willing to buy then let's get rid, he's not the answer on the left side and is non existent defensively.

You are spot on big cheese 68 Neves needs to play further forward and try and find his shooting boots. Our defence is unrecognisable from last season Johnny is sorely missed and I still can’t understand why Doc was allowed to leave.
