Wolves have been fined 600k for breaching FFP and can only have a 23 man squad for UEFA sanctioned competitions.

Does that mean for say the Europa League they can only have a 23 man squad but for the PL a larger squad? anyhow I think the squad is currently 23?

It basically means that should we qualify for CL next season, we can only name a 23 man squad. It don't matter anyway as we've only used 21 players across all comps this season.

Yet the likes of City, Villa get away with it.
The more that happens this season the more convinced I am that the powers that be are doing everything they can to protect their precious top 6.

{Ed001's Note - City have not got away with it, they have had a similar punishment in the past and Villa aren't even in Europe. You are whining about nothing. It is the standard punishment and has been applied to a number of clubs across Europe.}

Yeah true ED mate I should of read other articles first as Spiers made it look like it was prem league not Uefa, that bloke really needs to proof read lol.
Saw Joe Edwards tweet who makes it much clearer.

{Ed001's Note - and I doubt it will really have any real effect on Wolves as Nuno likes to run a small squad. You are possibly the best placed club in Europe to deal with a reduced squad.}

I think the fine comes out of prize money anyway (is that correct Ed? ) and as the Ed says with our squad the reduction in registered players is unlikely to have an effect (when you consider players at the club for more than two years and under 21 don't need to be registered anyway:) . What is interesting is that the club has said its been planned for so won't effect transfers. Now that doesn't actually mean a lot cause if you were already planning to have a quiet window then it wouldn't effect it?! I can't help but wonder if Nunos contract is being stalled cause he wants to know if we are going to invest? He does need more players/ quality depth else there's only so much he can do, time till tell. Fosun have earned some trust from us fans so I'm not to worried. COYW 🐺.

Nuno said a few weeks ago that he was on the verge of signing but wouldn't do it until after the last game of the season.

Jas - that makes sense. We won't know where we are until the last game of the season. By the same token we will probably not make any major signing until then either. Nuno will sign then but if he was leaving (very unlikely) we would wait to let his replacement get involved in new signings. By the way, the Sevilla coach was Fosun's first choice for the Wolves job originally. We have a lot to win or lose next Tuesday.

Yes Deep throat. Lopetegui was on his way to Wolves until Spajn national team came calling.
