Strange feelings towards Coady leaving. Fantastic servant and great leader. Why Everton though? Makes no sense. Gareth loves him and would probably still take him to the WC not to play him anyway. Then part of me thinks when building a team and getting use to a new formation sometimes you have to go through growing pains, getting rid of those who are weak links and getting in better.

What I don’t Uris why a loan deal? If you’re going to let him go, sell and move on. Personally I think it’s a mistake, we lack leadership and organisation when he’s not playing

I suspect the loan is for him (and Everton FFP) rather than us and with that being the case I can understand. He's 29 if he doesn't go to the World Cup this year then he ain't going to another. So I suppose from Connors point of view if he finds himself in the country (so not in the cup squad) and not starting as many as he'd like for Everton come Jan then it gives him a easy way back home. Personally I hope he gets on the plane then I hope come the end of the season he comes back to us. This could be Jody Craddock all over again! Fingers crossed eh, I understand the reasoning behind the deal but I think this could turn out to be another mistake on our part.

Connor going isn't as strange to me as people are saying, he blatantly can't play in a back 4 which is what we are going for, but at the same time Connor the so called Captain that loves the club is quick enough to run off as soon as it gets a little bit tough! He is leaving for a club that plays a back 5, to me a true leader would stay and fight!

I think it's a mistake. I'd keep him to keep morale up alone. But I understand his desire to represent his country.
