Not one to have a go at players but this evening Semedo looked like headless chicken, in the build up to the Chelsea goal the commentators mentioned there maybe a possible offside, this wasn't even looked at. When Podence went to get the ball off Chilwell Podence gets a yellow but Chilwell puts his hand around his neck, wheres the card. Otasowie looks good, Neto Podence great win COYW.

Great victory, we needed Chelsea to score to kick start us, wish we could start games the way we finished tonight. Some great individual performances, Otasowie looked good and should start next game Dendonker is out of sorts and totally ineffective. Podence is pure class and Neto’s pace and shooting is brilliant. Don’t want to get on his back again but Semedo just isn’t good enough.

Be real. Semedo exposed simply because they overloaded their right flank and Semedo didn’t get any support. How does he mark two, let alone three. Did an ok job but needs others to stick with overlapping players. Boly needed to step out further to the right to provide support and Dendonker needed to track Chilwell. Goal came because neither of these things happened although it was Otawusie who didn’t pick up overlapping player. So reminiscent of Villa build up to penalty. Finger pointed at Semedo but I don’t see it like that!
So much better in midfield and up front BUT my MoM was Saiss. So solid and composed. New contract please!

Tremendous win! Agree did look an offside in their goal. 100% Boly's fault though, don't know how he still gets a game at this level. Neto and Podence fantastic, Saiss quality as usual. Otasowie impressive. FWAW!

Ecosse Wolf, don't bother trying to defend Semedo. Some people just won't have it. I thought he played well tonight and handled having 2 players going at him all game.

I agree sais was great. Neto easily mom.
Semedo should have played Werner offside in the build up to their goal and Boly should have been more alert.
BUT. Great win and all in all we played well.

I agree on Saiss, excellent game from him, we look a lot better team playing 3 at the back.
Otasowie reminds me of Olifinjana, slow across the grass and awkward.
But what a steal we have in Neto and Podence, both will be worth more than Jota in the not too distant future.

The great thing is that if a couple of players aren't at their best we have other options
Good to see Saiss back in the team he has been a steady member of the team since the Championship days and will play any position probably even goalie lol.

Their goal was not on Semedo, he did everything he could! It was a combo of Otasowie ball watching (I suspect this was behind Nunos post match 'he's a project, he needs to do some work'), Boly not organising the situation (at this stage he should be) and even after all that Rui with a rare mistake I mean it went straight though him! Not sure Semedo could have done a lot more to be honest. He did however completely switch off about 10 mins later and they should have scored. I think he's a decent player, he was having a blinder against Villa till the 93rd minute! The problem is it looks like either he doesn't maintain concentration or (more likely) as I've said before hasn't needed to much previously as Barcelona dominate most matches. We looked MUCH better tonight, onward and upward with the back three for me COYW ðŸº.

Really don't think Rui was at fault for their goal. If anyone is blaming themselves, it would be Boly. And semedo, if he had been switched on, should have had Werner offside long before the ball was in the net. BUT. There will always be mistakes from both sides in a football match and of course defenders get highlighted more so. Some fantastic performances tonight. Just don't know what's going on with Adama. Nuno is being generous to him but that won't go on much longer unless he gets his act together.

Jas M, I'm not slating him I believe he is a decent player. Last night I thought he was poor, played well against Villa and didn't deserve a rating of 3 by Spiers.
