Man City have spent over a billion on transfer fees in 10 years . and still haven't won the champions league. we will spend big fees on players but will be more wise as were an investment not a hobby. you disagree no doubt lord jas m.

Coven Wolf. I hope we do spend big and bring in big players. I also hope we bring in the right players. Let's establish ourselves in the Premier League 1st and foremost and then build from there. I don't know why you're singling me out but if it makes you happy then carry on.

Coven - you seem to be misunderstanding the general point people are making here, no ones saying that we don't want or expect the club to do big things going forward what we are say is that Rome wasn't built in a day! Also you need to check your facts on Man City fella because you are woefully misinformed on what the average 'working class' man thinks on them!

Please tell me in what way they throw money around which is ANY different from the other big teams United, PSG etc? Cause frankly I couldn't give a hoot what the Sheiks spend as its there money to splash! But I tell you what the average working man does care about is ticket prices and Man City's cheapest season ticket price is 3rd cheapest in the league (only behind Huddersfield and Burnley)!

In fact at £299 there cheapest season ticket is the same price as our own cheapest season ticket which considering the position the club is in seems pretty fantastic to me! So not entirely sure who you are to decide that they are an affront to the working man!

You are also misinformed on how we do business because this flawless model you speak of is just a myth, what about Oniangue (£2m), Gladdon (£2m), Bodvarsson (£3m) Texiera (loan fees) Bothwick Jackson (loan fees) I mean those transfers alone would have cost around £10m which as spent in the Champ is more than most teams budgets let alone when you consider most of it was wasted! Again don't get me wrong I'm happy enough with how things have gone but NO team has a flawless approach to recruitment cause its just not that simple!

Put this into a Prem context and you can add a zero to those fees and suddenly things don't look good! I'm sure Fosun will get more right than wrong but we need to be realistic!

With that back to your original misinformed point though regarding a top 10 finish again I reiterate NO one (not me or 'Lord' Jas;) are saying they can't do it, we're just saying only a fool would be demanding of it and frankly I stand by that. Oh and as you clearly have so much inside knowledge of the club you might want to inform Nuno as he seems to agree with us:

"We're not thinking top 15, top 10, top 5. We never did it (this season) . Did I ever mention to you we're going to be here or there? No. "

The guys just not programmed that way, performance first and foremost and the result will follow and well he seems to have done alright with that approach so I going to trust him over you I'm afraid! COYW ;)
