Thank you all for your heart warming ( excuse the pun lol) and sincere messages of support. I was discharged at 6pm tonight after having my attack friday on the way to work and stent inserted into one of my arteries Saturday. I was pain free within 5 minutes of coming out of surgery, watched it all and fully awake.
Newcross truly have one of the best heart and lung departments in the country with unbelievable surgeons. Professor cotton my surgeon was truly humble in his ways and deserving of true hero status unlike some celebrities and footballers of today.
Wolves have a team and hospital we should be proud of. My recovery starts now with me taking 6 tablets daily for the rest of my life but I feel privileged that at the age of 46 my fitness has allowed me to cheat death 3 times within the last 5 years. there's always lessons in life to be learned with I believe the main one for myself being lifestyle changes helps to extend our time on this earth, non smoker now for a year .

Great to hear your up and running (well walking ) I am sure it was the vision of Paul Tamworth paying you a visit with sedatives that sprung back into action . Onwards and upwards OOD just like the wolves .

Just logged in and read your plight outofdarkness, happy for you that you are on the road to recovery. I agree 100% from experience of the heart&lung dept. at newcross that it is fantastic credit where it is due. my best wishes to you and your family.

Puts things in perspective dos'nt it, glad you're up and about OOD. I'm 9 years non smoking now and feel loads better. Look to the future it's bright, the future is orange, but I wish the shirts were old gold again. COYW 2-1 and a very good friday.
