Theres rumours from the portuguese press that miranda wants to move back to portugal. Hope it ain't true as I think he was / is a very cultured ball playing defender who will be more suited to the premiership when we get there than the championship.
Ive seen worse defenders in a wolves shirt and in the premiership.
Whats everyones thoughts?

out of darkness

1.) 07 Jan 2018 21:08:47
Must admit out of all our defence Miranda is the one weak link. Just think he's not the greatest in the air gets outjumped alot. Think him supposedly wanting to leave has something to do with this Police investigation.
Saying that though would be sad to see him go, sure he will only get better as time goes by and like you say maybe more suited for the Prem.
I am more concerned about the Boly rumours going round hope there's no truth in it. 🤔🙏.

2.) 07 Jan 2018 22:07:33
Apparently dave its to do with lack of game time he feels he's not getting and he's comfortable that he's done no wrong with the allegations against him. I thought he looked top draw against villa and played a blinder. Sorry to see him go if that's the case. Regarding boly I can't see him going anywhere. he's appreciated, gets games, about to play against better players next season and his stock will only rise higher.

3.) 07 Jan 2018 22:11:52
Miranda is a total liability, he has poor distribution and doesn't read the game like Boly / Coady. Let him go.

4.) 07 Jan 2018 23:08:06
Whatever King Nuno decides is ok with me, of all our centrehalves Miranda for me would be the one to let go.
Kourtney Hause is better in my opinion, & Danny Bath feel sorry for Miranda though, maybe he knew these allegations were coming a while back.

5.) 07 Jan 2018 23:13:03
I think if Miranda does leave it will only be on loan until the end of the season. I believe that he was brought in as 1st choice but unfortunately for him, Boly has been outstanding, Coady has excelled beyond anyones expectations at CB and Ryan Bennett proved his worth when Boly got injured. Miranda is a good player and may find that he is a better fit for the Premier League where the pace of the game is slower. Let's not forget that he is a Wolves player whereas Boly, who is considerably better is not so if we can't sign Boly permanently, we already have a CB ready and waiting.

6.) 07 Jan 2018 23:59:40
Totally agree jas, he would be suited to the premiership. Would rather have him as back up over batth although even he's improved this season yet still think he's found his level. It seems that english defenders are coached only one way so when it comes to playing out of defence most find it alien. Luckily we have a manager whos years ahead of english coaches . Think what let's miranda down is he's alan hansen esq where he comes across as non plussed, takes things in his stride, maybe he finds the championship boring, feels he's too good for it, who knows.

7.) 08 Jan 2018 00:07:24
dont rate him tbf. can't pass from the back. weak in the air. and abit rash. but wish him well.

8.) 08 Jan 2018 10:46:09
Too error prone and rash I'm afraid and he'd be completely shown up in the premier. We'll need a better ball playing defender next season on top of Coady, Boly, Hause and possibly Bennett.

9.) 08 Jan 2018 12:55:53
Our defenders in order of quality and reliability

Boly
Coady
Bennett
Hause
Batth
Miranda

Won't be sad to see him go on a permanent transfer. Recoup the money and buy an U21 promising centre back to compete on the right hand side of the back three with Bennett/ Batth.

Perhaps we need a promising sweeper to tuck under the wing of Coady too. Only Saiss can contribute with covering tackles and distributing the ball as well as Coady does!?

Boly on another level. Must keep him whatever it takes.

First choice: Bennett - Coady - Boly
Second choice: Batth - Saiss - Hause.

10.) 08 Jan 2018 12:56:15
He's about the only disappointment of Nuno's signings. Apart from the defender who's always been injured and whose name I've forgotten. Phil something. The current back 3, with Doc, Saiss, Neves and Douglas in front of them have been exactly what we needed. Bennett was a surprise. Miranda was supposed to be the rock in our defence when he joined, with Boly the reluctant later arrival.

11.) 08 Jan 2018 13:53:39
Miranda hasn’t been that bad. His passing was an outlet before boly came in. And he was comfortable on the ball. I don’t think he expected British football where a player holds onto the ball and will have tunnel vision and keep running at you. As in Portugal they would recycle and pass the ball more like wolves are.

I wouldn’t say he was a bad signing he contributed to points early on in the season.

12.) 08 Jan 2018 14:17:45
Miranda would not be missed in my opinion, weak in the air and will need better than him if we get promoted makes to many mistakes for me.

13.) 08 Jan 2018 15:23:19
I don't think Miranda is going to b sold or loaned out according to Nuno.

14.) 08 Jan 2018 16:49:55
I would be sorry to see Miranda go - which I don't think he will by the way - as at the start of the season he, Coady and Boly formed an excellent back three. Yes he had the odd wobble here and there but covered very effectively on the left when Boly was out injured. Definitely prefer him to Danny 'where's my man I'm supposed to be marking gone again? ' Batth.

Also see we are being linked with Jevani Brown a Jamaican striker with Cambridge United. He's had 10 clubs in the past 4 years only, scored 4 in 27 for Cambridge and has a reputation as a trouble-maker from what I hear so no thanks!

15.) 08 Jan 2018 16:56:17
Miranda signed a contract and cost 2.5m - he can't leave just like that. Anyway we will need him if the other rumour is true about Boly wanting a return to Portugal to keep his wife happy.

16.) 08 Jan 2018 18:25:00
Have to say that for me Mirandas been the only disappointment in Nunos signings. Also have to agree with 1877 and others in that I think he’d get shown up very quickly in the Prem. He is technically sound and tidy enough on the ball but most of his problems have been that he’s FAR too easily bossed around, especially in the air! He’s not that physical with the ball at his feet either come to that so for me I would get rid and move on as I’d hate to see someone like Hause sacrificed to keep him. Like others though I very much doubt it will happen as I think Nuno has a good relationship with him and he’s handy at this level. For those suggesting keeping him in case Boly doesn’t sign then I’m afraid we need to think again, they are chalk and cheese. If Boly goes we would need another power house of a similar calibre (basically a Prem standard defender) if we want to have any chance of surviving the Prem. Think it’s already become all too easy for most of us to take for granted how much big Willy has entirely sorted our defence this year, the guy is just a class above! COYW.

17.) 09 Jan 2018 14:11:01
It's all relative though. If we'd signed Miranda last year when we signed Costa and co he would have been class with Batth or Stearman. But next to Boly he is out-shone.

Just read that fc porto defender alex telles is close to signing for club record fee.

1.) 04 Jan 2018 17:16:45
Keane rumour is BS according to Sky Sports.

{Ed047's Note - Wolves wanted him on a 6 month deal last i heard, although to me it made little sense as they just signed a Striker}.

2.) 04 Jan 2018 17:17:50
I've seen that too.

3.) 04 Jan 2018 18:27:53
Not sure I see this one happening, Douglas is in great form and vinagre has done well when brought in, doubt telles would join before prem promotion no matter how certain it seems.

4.) 04 Jan 2018 20:46:53
Rubbish.

{Ed047's Note - Alex Telles has been watched numerous times by Chelsea and certainly wont be leaving in January}.

5.) 04 Jan 2018 21:07:45
Telles rumour came from fake account.

6.) 04 Jan 2018 21:19:09

Its been a while since I've posted on here so firstly happy new year everyone.
Looking at the clips of rafa mir who we seemed to have signed he looks an absolute nightmare to mark as he's athletic, so tall, great with both feet, real threat in the air ( help us loads at set pieces defensive wise aswell. Reminds me abit of zlatan ibrahimovic, if he ends up just as good then we've got ourselves one hell of a coup.

After watching the city match all i can say is our beloved club has finally risen from the ashes and now will be talked about in a very positive light instead of jealousy amongst other clubs fans . The way we played against villa was the best team performance I've ever seen us play. Johan cruyff would have loved it if it was holland. Against man city it was a defensive masterclass on how to keep your shape, discipline and above all concentration for not only 90 minutes but 120 minutes.
Only have one word to describe this wolves team/ squad and above all our manager nuno god santo WOW!

Only gripe i have is that we've now shown other teams how its done against arguably one of the best club sides in europe which ain't good for me as my dream teams littered with city players and i'm top at work pmsl.

Finally enobakhare has come of age with that performance for me, he absolutely tore a £32 million defender mangala apart. Yes it was a pity he couldn't take any of his chances but at the age of 19 running the line alone showed what an exceptional player we have. He will be unstoppable if our great manager and coaches give him the belief in himself.

FOSUN must be so happy in what they have achieved so far, its been too long of false dawns and under achievement but finally
OUT OF DARKNESS COMETH LIGHT.

FWAW.

out of darkness

1.) 25 Oct 2017 15:54:06
fully agree.

Lets hope this achievement can now be topped by dominating the Championship through to promotion in May. I hope that Fosun will see that continued investment will be required and that the opportunity to build a Premier club can start with the January transfer window. I think an additional high quality striker is required and possibly a creative midfielder plus a full back. Gets these bedded in before next season.

I think Marshall, Price, Bennett and Zyro might leave in Jan as I don't think they have Premier quality.

I think Bright would benefit from a loan spell in Div 1 to get some shooting practice. Alternatively Nuno continues his development off the bench.

Also how about completing the stadium redevelopment plan.

We are emerging from the darkness.

2.) 25 Oct 2017 17:51:20
Sorry to burst your bubble lads but we didn't play well. Man City played poorly because of the football used. Only joking. We were awesome and every single player deserves high praise.

On another note, if we and Norwich made 2 Subs in extra time, it's guaranteed that we would have been thrown out as we breached the rules. They were never going to find Man City or Arsenal guilty.

3.) 25 Oct 2017 20:31:52
What pepe didn't realise was were went used to that ball either!

4.) 25 Oct 2017 21:42:45
What a great team performance last night well done the boys and well done Nuno. The most disappointing thing about the game was the Man city fans quiet as church mice all game I remember going to main road in the 90s and the Kippax stand used to be rocking one of the most intimidating grounds in the country. Now it seems they've turned into man utd over night expecting to win leaving 10 minutes before the final whistle and moaning about every single thing that doesn't go there way it didn't take them long to forget where they come from did it. I just hope all us wolves fans don't forget where we've come from because I'm telling you now the good times are on there way 100%. I've been a wolves fan for 37 years and I've never seen a wolves team like this and I'd argue with any fan who says we've had a better team/ manager in the last 37 years than what we have now. IN NUNO WE TRUST UTW.

5.) 26 Oct 2017 07:27:31
Here here fella got to ba a similar age to yourself and I totally agree 👍.

6.) 27 Oct 2017 22:42:52
The one thing PEP got right on the night was the match ball, as they scord all there penalties.

Wolves have signed alfred n'diaye from villareal on a season long loan.
welcome to wolves alfred.

1.) 01 Sep 2017 02:34:02
Just watched a YouTube video of the lad, I'd rather stick with Saiss! 5 minutes of clips showing square passes long hoofed balls that went staring to the opposition and the odd tackle! I cut it short half way through! Unless I'm mistaken, is it the same N'Daiye who played for hull? Apologies if I'm wrong!

2.) 01 Sep 2017 06:03:37
Will we lose him and Saiss for January so they can play in the African cup.

3.) 01 Sep 2017 06:22:01
No because:

1: Next tournament is in 2019.
2: It's played in June/ July. The last tournament was the last to be played mud season.

4.) 01 Sep 2017 06:22:31
^Mid^.

5.) 01 Sep 2017 06:52:49
At least we've got new lyrics to an old song.

NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANA
WE AIN'T GOT A WOLVES NUMBER NINE!

6.) 01 Sep 2017 07:58:45
I'll check with my mate about N'diaye, he's a Blunderland supporter and will remember when he played for them! I don't know squat about him!

I have agreed with Nuno's tactic of building from the back, but always felt as much priority should have been given to the front! Well it wasn't, my gut says it will likely cost us. Hope I'm wrong big time. ⚽️😉👍.

7.) 01 Sep 2017 08:52:04
Well I'm glad that's over I know we didn't get a Forward in but I Don't think we can moan to much can we? Fosun have back our manager 100% this summer in a way we could only dream of two years ago. As for the ITK army you know FA and the my source said guys well the only sauces you've got are red and brown at least now the bull will stop and we can all get with supporting our great team, guys will be fine. IN NUNO WE TRUST.

8.) 01 Sep 2017 09:30:06
I'm disappointed a striker wasn't signed. Albeit I felt all options were either too expensive (even for us) or hadn't shown enough to make me feel confident that they would score 20 goals. Burnley signed wells which just stinks of desperation IMO. I also felt we could have got renato Sanches but premier league football was to tempting.
However with a front three of jota, cav, Donovan, bright, Costa and bonatini I feel we are covered we just need to make sure we impose our selves and control possession.
UTW.

9.) 01 Sep 2017 10:38:49
And to think my wife always tells me off for leaving things til the last minute -)

Been impressed with all our dealings so far- had to be an exception and N'Diaye is it.

No substance in Andre Silva rumour according to Tim Spiers Twitter
Well on to the next one.

I posted up in the banter if we were likely to smash our transfer record for the 4th consecutive window by buying carvalho or silva.
Just read that we've had a £35 million bid turned down for ac milans andre silva. Wrong silva I was thinking of but there's no stopping wolves and fosun.

Sky sports stating that were not interested in grabben, think we have enough firepower to finish the job off without splashing out on a player that struggles in the premiership. Makes sense to wait and get someone better in the summer if they haven't found that player already.

Kevin de bruyne asked for conor ronans shirt in exchange for his own after the match. Even de bruyne knows a talent when he sees one. We ain't half got some players that hopefully in generations to come they will be talked about as greats for our club aswell as nuno.

Mattbwolves he's a winger/ striker so without a doubt fit into our three at the front system no problem. Left or centre of the three or alternate throughout 90 minutes . Similar to what jota, cav and costa would do but with goals and assists also.

Totally agree wolves 4 life, great signing. Can now see why dicko went. Different type of forward altogether. Was always worried when dicko shot as he never had a back lift with his striking foot. This bloke locadia does what should be done, put the foot right through the ball.
Massive step up in my opinion to the strikers we had and well worth the money.

Believe me when I say you will look back with fond and happy memories rather than the grief you're feeling at the minute. doesn't make it any easier mate but each day that passes it becomes less painful the emotions you're facing atm. Who brought the bomb squad in? Were they sold for profit? No. So what they made on fletcher and jarvis we all know went into balancing the books. All i was saying is the difference is fosun are an INVESTMENT company. Moxey invested in his own personal career to make sure he kept his job to the detriment of fans etc. Fosun and moxey are night and day anyone can see that.
thats my opinion anyway just as i respect everyone elses.
