It's being claimed wolves have matched Alfie mawsons release clause fee - now if true then would be a quality asset to the team - this rumour was posted on news now very early 28/ 6/ 18 but had gone by midday.

Balotelli not a proven striker. So funny. 20 goals in 54 games for Man City and won the Premier League title. 26 in 43 for Milan and 33 in 51 for Nice. I know he's had 2 loans spells that didn't work out but you can't say he's not proven. And yes, I would have him at our club.

Not great actually Jas, 1 goal in 20 for Milan last time he was there! And sorry but scoring for Nice just ain't the same, Leon Clarke could score 20 odd in the French league! Were you at the game last time we beat City (2010)? I was and the main reason we beat them was cause he spent the whole game sulking cause he didn't get a foul early on and then when he did get a chance he couldn't hit a barn door! I actually quite like the lad but when you consider just how poor he was last time in the Prem (1 goal in 16 apps) then also consider the wages required then (for me) I just don't see him being worth the gamble.

Seems my mention of Balotelli yesterday has stirred up a mixture of views and emotions. Love him or hate him no-one can possibly seriously deny he is a proven goalscorer who has scored wherever he has gone and at the highest level including internationally. If we were to sign him - and he is available on a free transfer by the way - maybe Nuno would be the man to get him on the straight and narrow.
