Liverpool and Arsenal refused to pay him the £4m a year salary he wanted. Basically he's priced himself out of a move. Agreed that he would be a good signing but he needs to lower his demands.

If you get him for a free, why not pay him £4m a year? That's the same as buying him for £10m and then giving him £2m a year on a 5 year deal.

Andre Silva is on €2.2m per year which works out at €42k Euros a week. The fact that he cost AC Milan €38m Euros does not dictate his wages.
