Hate VAR. Games gone. Arms are not meant to be stuck to your side when you are running or jumping or slowing down. Joke of a decision and it has taken a good 5 mins to decide.
Wow. I take that back. Finally a good decision. I cannot believe they used common sense there.

What's the feeling for today's game? What line up should we be going with? It's the same starting team as Newcastle for me.
Obviously I want a win, or draw at best, being real how will we keep city out? So also being a realist would a 1-0 or 2-1 be acceptable given the circumstances.
I'll keep the faith though, and hang on to my dreams, a unexpected away win by an odd goal. (maybe literally).

Abbeywolf must have a chance Haalands on the bench but so are Arokodare and Larsen playing Whang and Mane up front. Me I would drop Whang and play Arokodare or Larsen more of a goal threat.
24 Jan 2026 14:25:48
Already can see it is ultra defensive. Atleast have a go. We won’t be able to sit behind the ball for 90 mins and keep a clean sheet.
24 Jan 2026 14:25:53
Just seen the team, no JSL or Tolu if BBC have it correct. Over in US for work so trying to keep eye on it 🤞👍
24 Jan 2026 14:45:05
We are expected to lose but I think Man City have been a little disrespectful by keeping Haaland on the bench.
24 Jan 2026 14:46:26
Can't believe the team he has picked today, only strikers we have sitting in the bench. But playing Hwang of course, he must have some dirt on the management to get near the team. Last game he was poorest on the pitch, and still Rob picks him. Waste of time trying to park the bus against City.
24 Jan 2026 16:04:29
I know we are away at Man City but the team selection is baffling to play without Tolu upfront means the ball keeps coming back. To get out of the mess we are in we need to win football matches so to set up so defensively is disappointing.
Let’s hope he brings Tolu and Larsen on and push Mane up second half and let’s give it go what have we got to lose?
24 Jan 2026 17:05:26
Better second half but game was already gone. Be interesting to hear why Edwards started with Arias and Hwang who have proved continuously they offer no threat. Who would you rather mark at a set piece Tolu or Arias baffling decision. Well done to the ref though took some guts to go to the screen at the Etihad and not give a pen!
24 Jan 2026 17:07:52
Only listened on radio major Frank but the second half with both tulo and larsen on seemed to suddenly give us a threat, but Rigardo instead of jackson may have had a lot to do with it?
Mane sounded as if he was freer in the second too.
2-0 didn't flatter City and by the sound of it they could have Upped gear at any time.
VAR was never needed to look at the pen claim but the Ref finally used common sense in denying their penalty claim.
I've no real feeling after match, expected to lose and only 2 against a class team can't be too bad.
Downwards and then upwards.
24 Jan 2026 17:44:09
Baffling decision not to play tolu against gui
Or jsl tbh.
What u playing at rob
It doesn't give any positivity to the team even getting a draw or to us fans
Still don't think he's right for us
Hes certainly got a thing about hwang.
Must be related
24 Jan 2026 18:52:32
I think he was thinking we'd be able to thread balls between city's lines grelyleg, and that hwang (poor choice) Arias (unlikely) and mane (too deep) would run onto them. That wasn't going to happen with city closing in on gomez and Andre and Hugo/tchouchou not getting upfield.
Interestingly our biggest threat going forward seemed to be mosquiro in the first, and he proved a bigger goal threat in the second.
Tolu/ Larsen should have been the obvious starter before hwang/arias methinks.
23 Jan 2026 22:52:36
Rob Edwards interview about players coming in. He says maybe 1 or 2 if it improves us! We are on 8 points? Improves?
24 Jan 2026 07:33:30
And should we beat City today it'll be 11 Marks, oh no I've been dreaming again.
Seriously we've been showing signs of improvement (couldn't really get any worse you're right) but a couple in might give us a little more,
Manes presence seems to lift the team alone
Said before, our target now is not to be bottom and to get more than 12 points.
23 Jan 2026 14:15:21
Very interesting comments from RE about Larsen Wolves do not want to sell this month. The player Larsen is quite happy at the club and not pushing to leave. Leeds valuation did not meet Wolves so offer was turned down and no body is trying to force a move. Which brings in the move about Agbadou all reports are saying he wants to leave and is pushing to go.
But now reports are saying Besiktas need to pay the 20mill Euros that Wolves paid only a year ago or he's not going anywhere. As reports are saying BBesiktas have only offered 13 to 15 mill which is a 5mill less for Wolves after 1 season tell them to get stuffed or pay what Wolves want.
23 Jan 2026 16:01:06
I rarely get to say this BUT I actually think Wolves are being quite savvy with the JSL bids. Because they know that at £30m we'd get that at the end of the season anyway. However, if by some miracle he actually finds form and scores 5-10 goals before the end of the season then they are in a MUCH stronger negotiating position at the end of the season to get closer to that £40m that they value him at.
Add to this that I also think RE has a point in his appraisal of the situation, because what all us Wolves fans have done (myself included) is seen the player we had before the Newc bid followed by the player after and we've all just (naturally) assumed the causation of his currently woeful form i.e he wants out/can't be arsed. While we've also all been ignoring the other mitigating factors, largely being that every single creative player that made his goals last season has since been sold or let go. I'm not saying he gets a free pass BTW cause I agree that he also hasn't worked hard enough this season. But again whilst I previously assumed that was because he was sulking in truth it's FAR more like that (like the rest of the squad) he's just become completely unmotivated by our complete lack of creative talent. I suppose what I'm wondering is what happend first did he stop working or did he just become entirely sick of making runs that none of our squad were even capable of seeing much less finding with a pass.
It is also worth remembering here that the back drop of all this is a striker that last season that scored 14 goals in their debut Prem season, that's IMMENSE! In fact at the £25m paid that's virtually unheard of these days outside the top four! Normally at that price your lucky to get a striker with 7+ goals in a debut Prem season.
Now I'm also realistic and know he will inevitably leave (next week or at the end of the season). All I'm saying is that I understand the club's reluctance to sell him when his value is (literally) at its lowest point it's been since we signed him. Don't forget here that Shi (the second:) has just seen his predecessor hounded out of the club for consistently poor transfer business. If Nathan has ANY sense he will know that selling JSL on the cheap now, only to (potentially) see him bang goals in at the next club would have every Wolves fan yet again questioning our transfer acumen. It would get him off to the worst possible start with the fans!
Let's see what the next week or so brings, but all I'm saying is that with our current situation (essentially relegated) then the club should be in no rush to start a fire sale. From what TFG says (and he knows his financial onions) then we are screwed financially eitherway and with that in mind every penny counts! Add to that with the entirely uninspiring players we've been tied with then (personally) I'm in no rush to see JSL leave on the cheap COYW 👍
23 Jan 2026 16:59:24
BullsBoy I know what your saying but if Wolves keep on improving and keep there best players. You never know and I put a post o befofe if Wolves are relegated they have a price and stick to it. Reports going round Liverpool 26mill for Andre get stuffed 45 to 50 mill if PLor champioship simple as.
23 Jan 2026 17:55:32
I agree DMac, the low ball bids are sadly a reflection of where we are. The vultures are circling and hoping for a distressed sale, especially with our Brazilian lads because they will want to try and push there way back into the squad in time for the WC.
Like I say though I agree with your premise, now is not the time to panic and sell every last bit of talent we have left at flea market prices because right now if we sell yet ANOTHER manager down the 'transfer window river' then we really could be screwed if RE becomes disinfranchised with the whole project (like those that have gone before him) 👍
23 Jan 2026 18:26:34
I agree Bully, we're down anyway so let's play hardball if we have to sell in this window. JSL has had to make up for the loss of creative players by becoming more creative himself. He's put a lovely couple of defence splitting passes to Mane, one of which was a goal. In fact, they are developing into a bit of a duo.
23 Jan 2026 19:10:41
Absolutely agree with every single word you say BullysBoy II and I’m as guilty to judge JLS as anyone.
I know it’s difficult (as with others who post) but I lose interest and the will to live when posts are really long! 😫😂
23 Jan 2026 20:55:43
It'll be interesting to see what happens next week and what Shi's resolve is like if a 35m comes in for Larsen.
I was saying let him go for whatever we could get as I thought his heart was no longer here, but you make good logical sense Bully's, considerations I hadn't given, but, we have to face the fact that he'll go at some point and it's abit of a gamble as to what we might get.
We'll see how RE and Shi II work together soon.

Did anyone actually see Jeff leave the building?
Who is instructing/advising Nathan?
First The Points
23 Jan 2026 19:12:43
Why have we not heard from Nathan?
23 Jan 2026 22:38:42
Well we all know how much Jeff is a fan of sci fi, he told us in one of his car crash interviews so my theory is at the end of the season Nathan will call a press conference then take off a mask and it’s Jeff all along underneath like the old program V 😂😂

I asked GROK for 5 strikers Wolves could realistic sign for under £15million and this is what it said, what do you guys thing?
Here are 5 fast strikers Wolves could realistically sign for under £15m based on current market values:
1. Armando Broja (Burnley) - ~£10m, pacey Albanian with PL experience.
2. Tawanda Maswanhise (Motherwell) - ~£3m, electric dribbler with 14 goals this season.
3. Hugo Ekitike (Eintracht Frankfurt) - ~£12m, quick French forward seeking more minutes.
4. Lyle Foster (Burnley) - ~£8m, speedy South African international.
5. Kevin Denkey (Cercle Brugge) - ~£10m, agile Togolese scorer with strong pace stats.
23 Jan 2026 04:48:29
Sorry to burst your bubble but Wolves are arguing over paying 7m for Otele from FC Basel so 3 of your GROK choices would seem to be too much to pay!
23 Jan 2026 06:23:23
Rated make Ekitike now plays for Liverpool cost 79mill Euros last season.
23 Jan 2026 06:23:50
Ekitike (Eintracht Frankfurt)
Are we seriously thinking that he will join us even from Liverpool
23 Jan 2026 06:54:19
I think it's AI Rated, and players names out of a bag. I can't pay any attention to that unless all parameters of our finances, RE's expectations and needs the players feelings etc are entered.
It's food for thought and some names to look up, that's all I'm afraid.
It'll be the last minute 'we tried' 'we were monitoring' etc until close season unless we're shot of larsen, sell gomes or anyone to bring in funds.
23 Jan 2026 07:07:33
Rated mate don't know where this site gets it information from but Denky signed for FC Cincinnati for 16.5 mill Dollars on 1st Jan 2025.
23 Jan 2026 10:02:56
I asked GROK if we will get relegated. This is the answer:
In short: Yes, Wolves are very likely to get relegated this season barring a miracle. The focus now appears to be shifting toward damage limitation and Championship preparations for many observers. Their next match is away at Manchester City, which won't help.
(My comment: No rubbish, Sherlock)
23 Jan 2026 13:19:45
My comment actually was: No s**t, Sherlock.
The Ed sanitised it!

Dmac GROK is Xs ai system.
The post was just abit of fun OAP not to be taken seriously hence why it was put in banter.
25 Jan 2026 06:05:48
Sorry rated didn't know.
22 Jan 2026 19:21:45
As Rodri was sent off the other night, will he be able to play against us on Saturday?
22 Jan 2026 21:48:19
No, he’s only suspended for the next uefa club competition match
23 Jan 2026 08:36:15
OK thanks, what a pity though.
22 Jan 2026 10:55:19
Day 22 of the 33 day transfer window (1/1/26-2/2/26) and still no signings. 4 on their way with at least another 3 or 4 in the news to go.
Get your boots on lads and wait for that call!
I’m on a diet and set up a training ground in the back yard.
Got extra jumpers for goal posts and an orange for half time. The bladder’s been pumped up and I’m raring to go!
22 Jan 2026 15:03:14
Don't lace your boots up just yet lads. Keep the diet going just in case. Fosun are very last-minute dot com.
22 Jan 2026 15:39:43
The players we're linked with is rather bleak. Philip Otele, German Berterame, 2 youngsters on trial, Harry McGlinchey, Anis Mehmeti, Ollie Anderson and Jonas Adjetey.
