Laugh of the day!
Website 'Football Italia' says that Wolves enquired about coaches Motta and Tudor ex of Juventus to be the new coach.
Their previous salaries were 11m+ Euros including staff!
Could you see Jeff Shi paying that?
21 Aug 2025 05:24:20
According to 'Football-Espana' Wolves have bid for centre back Ladislav Kerjci from Girona, a 26yo Czech.
Fee said to be 30m Euros.
1.) 21 Aug 2025 09:59:47
Yes. Just read it on X. Alledged to have agreed personal terms. Let's see.
2.) 21 Aug 2025 11:14:24
A lot of money but if we get him it really improves the defence - wolf toti agba this guy and tchatchoua isn’t bad .
3.) 23 Aug 2025 13:32:42
He's not sure about coming to Wolves - asked for time to think the move over. Included in Gerona squad for their game against Villareal
11 Aug 2025 07:53:13
LATEST -
Abline will NOT be coming to Molineux!
He wants to stay in France.
Jorge Mendes' magic doesn't work this time.
1.) 11 Aug 2025 08:56:36
Yes saw that this morning and I had read last week that he preferred to stay in France for longer. We need to get a move on with signings but we have certainly lost some pulling power.
2.) 11 Aug 2025 10:02:02
We don’t have any pulling power! ?
3.) 11 Aug 2025 10:19:12
Shi/Fosun and pulling power don't go together.
4.) 11 Aug 2025 11:06:57
Article from Transferfeed ….Wolverhampton is interested in signing David Datro Fofana from Chelsea. Contacts between the clubs have already started, with Wolves seeking information on costs and conditions to finalize the deal. Chelsea is open to negotiations, asking for approximately 15 million pounds for Fofana. Wolverhampton is exploring creative solutions like swaps or performance-related bonuses to complete the operation without heavily impacting their budget. The players' will and Chelsea's final decisions will be crucial in the final market rush.
5.) 11 Aug 2025 11:08:19
Hmm looks skilful not sure he would hack it in the prem though.
On the note of pulling power and getting deals done we have to execute some deals this week we can't hold out forever for the perfect deal.
Just looking at Gestifute or links to Mendes players.
GK-Lunin and Patricio
Looking at rbs there are a few options we spend a bit and get Thiago from Lille, Thierry Correia from Valencia or cheaper option Ricardo Pereira from Leicester.
CB's I think Disasi we should sign but try to get Veiga on loan with option next summer. Apparently Disasi sets the standards in training always wants to be part of the team. Veiga according to Enzo Fernandes is a poor trainer (may be because Chelsea have 40 players mind :))
CM Matheus Fernandes, Gedson Fernandes and Renato Sanches may be options. Guess it would be £20m for M Fernandes but maybe a loan and cover wages for Sanches.
FW-Fabio Vieira (loan) or Trincao
ST-Aghehowa and Araujo as back up.
Not saying we should sign all these players just saying some of these players would help us for the coming season. We probably need 3 of these sorts of standard players to motivate the team and raise the standard.
RWB and defence is the biggest concern as if you keep clean sheets you can stay up in the prem. But with the issues in defence last season I am worried about Mosquera fitness but also Agbadou's form during preseason. We probably need a cb, cm and a fw that's just to cover us not for squad depth (as I would see squad depth in being able to change games or offer solutions with 3 injuries etc which we had at points last season).
6.) 11 Aug 2025 11:08:29
Also from Transfer feed . Tuttomercato has reported Wolverhampton's interest in acquiring Axel Disasi from Chelsea. The clubs have already initiated contact, with Wolves seeking details on the costs and terms necessary to finalize the deal. Vitor Pereira, the Wolves' manager, is reportedly very fond of Disasi, viewing him as an ideal addition due to his physical presence, leadership qualities, and defensive guidance. Chelsea is said to be open to negotiations, with an asking price of approximately 25-30 million pounds for Disasi. Wolverhampton is considering creative solutions such as player swaps or performance-related bonuses to complete the transaction without significantly affecting their budget. The outcome will ultimately depend on the player's willingness and Chelsea's final decisions as the transfer window closes.

I don't think the 'We tried but they didn't want to come' excuse washes anymore.
I have spoken to a few people who work within Football finances and although they don't know the full in's and out's of transfers, they know more than me. They have said that the players would usually be identified well in advance and then the agent approached to see if the player would consider a move. If the agent says yes, then the agent would speak to the player on behalf of the interested club and the buying club would make an offer to the players club.
The fact that players are rejecting the chance to even speak to the club speaks volumes.
I still don't think we'll be relegated but I do think we'll struggle for the vast majority of the season.
8.) 11 Aug 2025 11:38:31
"According" to reports we have approached Chelsea for Fofana and Disasi
9.) 11 Aug 2025 12:03:21
Agreed Wandering let's get Disasi and Fofana over the line and a RWB by the weekend.
10.) 11 Aug 2025 17:13:51
Wow how expectations have fallen!
Disasi is a pretty modest Prem league defender - see his time at Chelsea and Villa - but yes he is obviously much better than Doc, S Bueno or an injured Yerson. Sadly he is right footed so can't cover Toti.
But at £25-30m, taking the Angers payment into account, Wolves are paying out more than they got for RAN - not everyone's cup of tea - but in the eyes of most in the game one of the best LWBs in the league!
Paying substantially to enjoy an absolutely massive downgrade!
If Wolves are willing and able to pay a fee of £25-30m and the wages associated with that sort of transfer surely there are better options than Disasi - although would they join Wolves?
Two ideas just off the top of my head would be, as Madman says, the other Chelsea CB Veiga - younger, left footed, able to cover LB and DCM and currently on a fraction of the wage Disasi gets or the Brazilian at Zenit Robert Renan, also younger, left footed, able to play LWB and on much lower wages but as only a loan even cheaper - maybe get both!
£15m for Fofana - the forward not the ex and excellent but permanently injured Leicester CB - also looks v top heavy and he is only just returning from a pretty serious injury.
I know I have moaned incessantly about the lack of signings - I think the squad needs 8 new bodies - and so should not complain when they finally seem to be getting close to a signing or two but these two would for me both fall into the back up category and I am not sure Wolves can afford those sort of fees for first choices!
However better than nothing but far far from ideal and shows just how far expectations and reality have fallen!
11.) 11 Aug 2025 18:00:50
I disagree TFIOG we need cover at cb and RCB with Disasi the pedigree is there to play across the back 3 and rb.Although he is right footed.
He creates competition in the defence they all looked too comfortable that they will be playing next week on Saturday.
Doc was arguably the best of a bad bunch.
I think that's what I took away from Saturday they were all playing it safe and knew they would be playing next week.
Fofana on loan isn't a bad option we had next to nothing to bring on.
Hwang and Sasa had their minds on moves. Thought Sasa did make some good runs but nothing too amazing they should all be making runs.
The club need to get their act together with Mendes I expect 3 ground breaking deals to show Vitor the support he deserves.
Talk about pulling power if I was a young players especially a forward and I wanted to get into the wc squad next year I'd be dying to play for Wolves this season. Dying.
If I was Elliott, Mcatee, Doak, Vieira, Abline, Martim Fernandes, Aghehowa, Veiga I would give my right arm to be at Wolves to play under Vitor in a squad that needs players and dreams of pushing up the league and European football.
Those players should be on the phone to Wolves. Maybe the hunger in some young players isn't what it once was. (I don't mean all those players)
12.) 11 Aug 2025 19:12:02
Chelsea is definitely one option for potential signings but Barcelona are the club I'd be looking at. They may need to move as many as six players just to register new signings . Some of the players that they've got agents offering to clubs are Gerard Martin (lcb, lb), Eric Garcia (rcb, rb), Marc Casado (dm), Inaki Pena (gk). None of their wages are obscene and I think they're still available.
13.) 11 Aug 2025 19:55:43
Absolutely Molineuxway I'd be looking at these as well.
Igor Julio-CB-Brighton
Diomande-CB-Sporting
Nordi Mukiele-RWB-PSG
Carlos Soler-CM-PSG
Kobbie Mainoo-CM-Man Utd (Mad one but he isn't played by Amorim and its WC year)
Sancho-FW-Man Utd (Another mad one but again its WC year he actually played okay at Chelsea in the right club he could be a real asset. Especially his speed and an eye for shots from range)
Gabriel Jesus-FW-Arsenal (I know I know bonkers but again another player that isn't on that plane for the world cup at the moment. And he will want to be there.
The more you look at players and there situations they are crazy.
And yes I know the wages are mad but there are a lot of players that could be available.
Maybe the club are monitoring certain players and that's why they haven't pressed the green light for any old player.?
14.) 11 Aug 2025 21:20:15
Disasi looks pretty average to me, Villa had an option on him but after having him there decided he wasn't worth it! What does that tell you?! There is an elephant in the room no one seems to be talking about, Djiga! Why have we YET AGAIN spent good money (£10m) on a player that we have clearly been deemed not good enough even to be squad cover?! Seems bizarre to me that we are looking for another CB having just sent one out on loan, yet another sign of a quality recruitment system eh! ?
15.) 11 Aug 2025 22:49:20
BullysBoy pretty easy answer to that believe we were within 24 hours of signing Danso in February the salary was agreed at £75k a week. In 24 hours Spurs came in and offered £180k a week.
I only remember this as we beat the Villa and was getting exciting about a new CB coming but the transfer collapsed by the Sunday.
Like we can all have our grumbles on recruitment but I think transfers like that just show we aren't a top 6 side with the revenue they make.
So Djiga was the signing as a replacement to Danso the club had researched two top quality defensive reinforcements but one didn't come off.
By the way Djiga will develop at Rangers. I think Vitor just wants more fluidity through his team that's why a lot of players are being moved on.
The defence last season was mustered together due to various reasons injuries, fallouts, favouritism, loss of form and new signings. Doc and Toti arguably held it together for large parts of the season.
We have lost two attacking outlets in Semedo and RAN though.
16.) 11 Aug 2025 23:37:19
Not sure that's right Mad, pretty sure Agbadou was the replacement for Danso as he only came on the seen once Danso fell through and doubt we were going to fork out wages and fee for both of those two? I get what your saying about him developing at Rangers, although he won't if he keeps getting straight reds mind! I suppose my point/question is do we seem like a club that can currently afford to spend £10m on development players? This is what worries me, if he's not trusted/good enough to be fourth choice CB at 22 in a currently thread bare squad then is he realistically good enough full stop? And beyond that should we be spending £10m on players who then go out on loan (consider with this that Agbadou only cost £16.5m)? It just feels like a bit of a mess again, just the Fosun way these days I suppose! ??
17.) 11 Aug 2025 23:50:43
Madman - I don't disagree that Wolves need cover in those positions nor that Disasi could provide it at RCB - indeed as it stands he would probably be the 2nd best fit CB on the books.
But that only means he is, as I said, a modest CB - a bit like Toti but right footed.
However Wolves surely need better than that in the first 11 given the decline in talent elsewhere in the team?
Also Wolves are apparently not considering signing him for a Toti like fee or even a fee appropriate for a lower table CB - which he is -but seemingly something like £25m to £30m with wages that will presumably match that fee?
I know Chelsea have different standards to those applying at Wolves today - didn't a few years ago but Nuno is long since gone - but he and his partner were known as "Bad" and "Disaster" for a reason.
Also the idea of him being a serious option to play at RWB surely makes you realise how much trouble the team is in and would soon remind you of how good Semedo was!
Finally the days of young talents wanting to join Wolves look, even it seems according to Jeff's biggest fans on here, long gone - the chap Guessand seemingly didn't even give Wolves the time of day.
The players the club would want, (like the ones you mention), are on the whole likely to largely be able to obtain far higher wages elsewhere and - despite your optimism about the clubs prospects - be able to play at far higher levels than the dark lower reaches of the Prem Wolves are now inhabiting. In a World Cup year they can't afford to be buried in the tranches at Wolves.
18.) 12 Aug 2025 10:23:34
Bullysboy we signed Agbadou early January 2025 he played against Bristol City in 3rd round of FA cup.
Danso signed for Spurs 3rd February 2025
I'm 99% sure I'm right on this.
TFIOG- Absolutely but Toti was signed very young and brought through over time. Toti was signed for his profile rather than his technical ability.
I'm not saying Disasi is the answer at RWB or LCB but he does add a profile to the squad we are missing after not signing Danso in February. Agbadou, Doc, Toti, Bueno and Mosquera need to be challenged its to predictable and not enough competition in the ranks.
Just physicality Disasi or Veiga would add so much to our squad and calm some nerves. Vitor did very well with a weak team last season.
As I said I would sign both one for a fee one on loan.
I agree some of my suggestions are out there but at the same time I think different players prioritise different things.
Guessand wanted european football I have no issue with that.
But not every player I mentioned will get european football and not every player will play a big role in the teams they join.
Just think they should think carefully about their prospects at clubs they join (money and european football isn't the be all and end all)
19.) 12 Aug 2025 10:28:37
All of these Chelsea links look like desperation buys or non starters to me. Disasi has limited ability and is so slow, W Fofana is eternally injured and cost them £70mil, D Fofana has scored 18 in 90 in lower leagues and would struggle to replace Hwang on the subs bench, Veiga is actually a very good option other than the fact a £35mil deal between Chelsea/Athletico recently fell through because Athletico couldn't afford his wage.
If we're going to throw the dice why not try Munetsi at RCB/RWB, he's got the physicality, his defensive awareness/ability is great, worked with Coady!
20.) 12 Aug 2025 17:00:16
What seems like desperation needs to be put into perspective.
Chelsea have just won the CWC and have a squad of 40 odd players when all of them were back from loans etc.
Its an ocean of talent whilst we have a small pool.
Genuinely I think Disasi, Veiga, Fofana fit into most teams below the top 10.
Villa wanted Disasi on a permanent deal but couldn't pay £25m fee it was a financial issue rather than a character/ player issue.
Don't underestimate Munetsi's work rate and creating space for other players to exploit. He wouldn't be able to fill in at the back and sensible reinforcements are required.

EXCLUSIVE!
Wolves to announce a fire-sale of players in January.
Any club wanting one or more of the players, Wolves will pay YOU and provide the transport!
1.) 09 Dec 2025 10:39:32
I know it’s said in jest oap but that’s closer to the truth than you think
Perfect example is Lopez. We sign him from celts Vigo for 20 million pounds, they are happy 20 million in the bank, he gets a massive wage increase, he’s happy, now we are sending him back to celta Vigo on loan and subsidising his wages!
You couldn’t make it up

Don't worry cus jeff will sort it out cus he thinks he's good at that.what a mess
08 Dec 2025 13:50:22
So Wolves are planning to target players who are sitting on the sidelines, not playing but want to go to the World Cup.
If they will come to Molineux could depend on how they feel about joining a club heading for the Championship and if they would be happy to have that on their cv's?
Wolves desperately need PL experienced players but who and what could be the cost plus would Fosun be prepared to spend the money or sell to buy as usual?
1.) 08 Dec 2025 15:44:55
It'll be players on the periphery of Japan, S Korea, Australia and Cape Verde etc squads.
11 Nov 2025 07:02:52
Liam Keen on 'Molineux News' has suggested that a restructuring may again take place following the exit of Dominico Teti and if that should be the case then I suggest that Dougie Freedman ex of Crystal Palace should be offered the position.
Currently in Saudi Arabia at second division club Al-Diriyah, he would offer more experience and certainly more knowledge on both transfers and recruitment which has failed over recent seasons.
He did a very good job at Palace bringing in players such as Gallagher and Guehi from Chelsea and Olise from Reading plus he was instrumental in bringing current coach Glasner to the club.
Jeff Shi take note!
1.) 11 Nov 2025 08:55:43
I agree oap would be a great asset unfortunately where your argument falls down is the last line of “ Jeff shi take note”
Jeff only ever listens and is concerned about Jeff he does not give a shiny ?about wolves as a club, as long as he’s got our famous emblem to push his esports then he’s a happy little bunny
2.) 11 Nov 2025 11:21:17
Well Freeman matches the reports that Edwards was bringing in lescott and other unamed ex wolves players to the team old wulf.
It'd make good sense as you say.
3.) 11 Nov 2025 14:13:48
That would be Dougie Freeman who once played for Wolves and couldn't stand us
4.) 11 Nov 2025 16:07:53
Sorry OAP got abit muddled there.
Personally didn't know he couldn't stand us QS, we'll he's not playing now and if can do a job who cares?
5.) 11 Nov 2025 19:31:48
Yes Freedman supposedly hated his time here!
06 Nov 2025 14:39:11
Erik Ten Hag is being linked with Ajax.
As a Dutchman, surely the 'pull' of managing the Netherlands most famous club would be too good to turn down?
Between 2018 and 2022 Ten Hag won 3 League titles, 2 Cups and reached the Champions League semis.
If Ten Hag goes to Ajax, it will leave Shi with even less to choose from.
1.) 06 Nov 2025 16:37:46
Rob edwards anybody. Think it would be a good move
2.) 06 Nov 2025 17:04:08
I'm with you Willow, I think he may be just what we need, and he's a prospect that could stay a good while and give us stability
3.) 06 Nov 2025 17:42:35
Edwards cheapest option but who else would join this Fosun circus?
I personally think Solskjaer/Carrick duo.
4.) 06 Nov 2025 18:03:03
Not sure it’s the cheapest option, he only joined them in the summer so will prob cost a fair bit in compensation. Let hope Jeff has his purse ready.
5.) 06 Nov 2025 18:35:34
I'm not against Edwards. Being younger he may be able to relate to the players better and get a tune out of them.
6.) 06 Nov 2025 18:41:32
Definitely not the cheapest option. Hands up those who'd have a go for half of what he'll be offered!
03 Nov 2025 08:05:51
Taking a popular bookmaker's websites odds for Wolves next manager, these are the potential candidates:
G. O'Neill 7/4, R. Edwards 5/2, M. Carrick 8/1, K.Muscat 8/1, R Borges 10/1, B. Rodgers 12/1, E Ten Hag 12/1, S. Conceicao 12/1, O G Solskjaer 14/1 and L. Carsley 16/1.
These are their manager % win records (in the same order): 31%, 37%, 47%, 53%, 49%, 54%, 62%, 61%, 53% and 65%.
* Borges has never managed outside of Portugal and all except O'Neill, Carrick, Rodgers and Solskjaer are currently employed by clubs!
O'Neill as you can see has the worst % win record of any of the candidates and if Shi should go with someone who is that bad then all hope will be lost!
So take your pick and try to guess which one, if any, Shi could/will go for.
Muscat could be worth a gamble but I will take a shot at someone who is not on that list and that is Marco Rose previously with Leipzig, Salzburg, Monchengladbach and Dortmund but currently without a club since March 2025.
His win record is 58%. His lowest being 43% and highest 71%.
The big question being, would Shi employ someone who would likely want a big salary and also, would Rose come to a club deep in the relegation mire?
I don't think so but, if you don't ask, you won't find out!
1.) 03 Nov 2025 08:21:57
If it turns out to be GON/Edwards I think that will finish me as that would just be another £ lead appointment and confirm that Fosun haven't changed so what's the point.
2.) 03 Nov 2025 09:18:11
Evidence that GON would be the worst possible candidate. Which means he's hot favourite. Joking apart, if he was given the job it proves Fosun are the worst possible owners.
3.) 03 Nov 2025 10:16:13
If it’s GONE/ EDWARDS that’s me done financially.
I won’t buy any more shirts etc or attend any more games, I won’t put any more money in this management . I will return to games when new owners take over.

Rui Vitoria is a client of Agency Idoloassis Futebol based in Lisbon and Oporto, Portugal.
No connection to Gestifute or Jorge Mendes.
04 Nov 2025 08:43:48
Deep Throat, O'Neil only knows 12 players from his time at Molineux, the others came after he left, so basically he knows only half the squad.
04 Nov 2025 08:41:55
Carrick has already ruled himself out along with Rui Borges and Rob Edwards, so not agree.
03 Sep 2025 16:56:43
Nick, I like the idea of 4 at the back which would make the midfield stronger and having 2 up front would help to occupy both opposition cb's.
Agbadou at the back just now is a worry so I would play Doc until he gets his head together otherwise agree with your selections.
29 Aug 2025 16:54:28

IF Fosun did take the club into administration, then 12 points will immediately be deducted and if relegation is also involved, which is almost certain barring miracles, the points deduction could be delayed until the following season meaning Wolves, if under new ownership, would start the season on -12 points.
18 Nov 2025 14:05:23
And Borson works for 'Football Insider' which I warned you all about last week!
Ignore any article of theirs which quotes 'Mick Brown' the ex-Man. Utd coach who is 89yo and apparently is 'still well connected in football'! - Really. Who is going to give info' to an 89yo?
As for Joao Gomes being sold for 44m, who makes this crap up?
Websites and journo's just stirring it to make fans reply to their made-up fantasies.
Also, Fosun, IF they are to be believed, have promised Rob Edwards that Gomes will NOT be sold this January and even if he was, his contract lasts until 2029 so a hefty transfer fee would come to Molineux and it wouldn't be for 44m!
Rest easy.

Take a look at this taken from 'AI' -
"Regulatory and Institutional Measures
Governance Standards: Football governing bodies can mandate that clubs establish formal communication departments and set clear policies for stakeholder engagement, including supporters. These standards can require clubs to disclose financial information, strategic changes, and major decisions through official channels.
Fan Representation: Regulations can require clubs to create fan relations departments or appoint supporter representatives to sit on club boards, ensuring that fans have a direct voice in club affairs.
Transparency Requirements: Clubs may be required to publish regular reports, hold open meetings, and provide access to key information about club operations, finances, and decision-making processes.
Fan Pressure and Collective Action
Supporter Groups: Organized fan groups can use petitions, protests, and public campaigns to demand better communication and transparency from club management."
I hope that helps?
