Chan agreed personal terms with crystal Palace and look set to go if a fee is to be worked out between both sides. I’m torn on this one because yeah he hasn’t been great last season and a half Ish but when he’s on, he’s one of the best finishers in our team and can School, but it is probably the best thing for him if he moves on because he is just stuck in a rut at the moment I’m still concerned because we need more attackers and forwards and as the GSL rumors continue to grow, surely FOSUN would not sanction that because we would have nobody up front and I don’t know how you would survive.

The promises from day 1 about being in the champions league and winning a trophy within 10 years as well as doing the stadium up haven't been kept. So don't be surprised. Relegation is guaranteed

Fosun did what they said they would do right up until COVID-19. They obviously don't have the same money since a big chunk of their fortune was wiped out. They are now treading water with us because that's all they can afford to do, so pointless to keep on berating them about lack of ambition. A new buyer is our only option.

Excellent Fordhouses, I really did think this summer was going to be different and here we are, starting the season having sold established players replacing them with no time to get up to speed, with possibly good future players to sell on. Same as last few seasons, depressing when the best we can hope for is 17th, unless VP can work miracles, that is of course if he remains.

While I appreciate what fosun did in the past the unfortunate fact is that the fosun business model when they bought us and the current business model they operate under are like chalk and chews it may as well be two completely different companies, if the current way of operating continues it will not and cannot succeed in the money pit that is the premier league, that’s just a stone cold fact
So the only way we will be anything other than relegation candidates season after season is they go back to funding the club or they sell

I'm disappointed with how short the team has been left starting the season.
But I would say that the bigger clubs Man Utd, City, Chelsea and Arsenal have only announced the players they don't need the past 8-10 days. Maybe this is due to CWC but there is still a lot of players that would improve the quality of the Wolves squad either as signings or loans.
Players will wait to see what there best chance is of getting in WC squads next year.
Sanchez and Pubill could be the full backs for Spain next summer. We can moan but you can see that the club has aimed to replace players with quality. Still think Jackson and Moller Wolfe will be successes to be fair.
Also we can say we need quality then claim the club should sign anyone (which has happened on this rumour site aswell).
Yes Sunderland have signed players for example but West Ham were poor last season so I don't think there strategy is any better than ours to be honest.
From the x amount of signings around 25% will be a success that's the way it is in the prem. You look like a transfer guru if its rights but a plonker if it turns out like Cutrone, Guedes, Nunes and Silva.
Genuinely if we got Disasi, Fofana, Vieira, Casado and Uche would be a strong finish to the window.
Thats 8 signings not sure where Hwang and Silva would fit in around that though.
Vitor needs to put his foot down on players he actually wants.

From what I've seen of Hwang when his tail is up he's capable of scoring in any game, but when he loses confidence he goes missing. Add to that his injury record and when he has been in good form the injury usually puts a stop to it.
Players will start adjusting their expectations around moves over the next couple of weeks with either wage demands, the level they want to play at to play regularly and whether they and their clubs are open to loans.
The thing we don't know is how active a part the club will play in that time either successfully or not.

JSL saga def hasn’t helped the game today that’s for sure. Ag needs to be dropped now as he basically gifted them atleast 2 goals today. DHall was def a lucky let’s just hit it and see what happens type of goal. We are too slow and patient in build up. Fer needs to start for me now, really helped when he came on and Gomes helped down the right and scored a great goal. Say what you will about Sasa but atleast he tries and got back to help break up play and is a focal point. Happy channy got his goal but needed to kick on from there as the game continued. Def should have had a peno when Hugo was brought down but he was too honest to jump back up to try keep the play moving. How Pawson didn’t tell Oliver to check his screen is outrageous. Glad the break is here and hopefully we re group and kick on from here.

Totally agree re Hugo pen ordinary, what is VAR for? Agba and toti will be no more now we've got the bew guy pikey, we need a new approach to our play and some passion that rodiho Fer and Hugo show, some movement forwards instead of knocking around all the time. Arias needs to start on the right - that's his preferred position. Why Vitor is playing him out of position I don't know. And Lopez should get a start over Manetsi. Agba needs a rest, and Toti looks frightened of having the ball. Other players did well, but our defense with Agba in is terrible, polar opposite of last season.

Why don’t they change the rules and close the transfer window the day before the league starts. It’s annoying how clubs can come in (yes wolves can do this also) and unsettle a player and be allowed to agree personal terms before the clubs have even agreed terms. Close the window and make clubs do business after the last ball is kicked at end of season and then stop it at 7pm the night before the new season.

Definitely agree VB Wolf, it has become an unsavoury tactic to speak to players before the club which is specifically aimed at unsettling the player.
I also think that players who strike or refuse to play for club should be banned from playing in the league full stop until they return “to work”.

Technically they don't speak to the player they approach through their respective agents (Wolves will also do this through Mendes etc. You need to know if it's worth approaching the club before you put a offer in as they save time knowing the player will be happy with salary etc.

Would love to sign Mainoo, he’s be a great player for us but for one reason or another it will just never happen . We don’t sign English players for some reason which actually troubles me, I think there is a bout 3 players from England in our club, plus doc whose Irish, which I actually don’t think is right. We’re an English club so we should have a few more English players, I also wonder if this is partly the reason behind lack of leadership, because communication with all these different nationalities must be different. I know he’s not a huge leader, but mainoo would be perfect imo, it will just never happen.

Why wouldn’t a player want to come to Wolves? We are a prem team and players will actually play and have a lot of minutes. Those with ambition will know they are in the shop window and will be moved along if they adapt and do well. If things went south then they would have their agents get them a move away with a relegation clause. I refuse to believe we are not an attractive option over others around us, and if the player really wants London, then with their money that they are on they can travel down there to their hearts content.

I don’t see why if Larsen scores another 14-18 goals this season why his value would not be 65-75 at end of season. Goal scorers are hard to come by and he has shown he can cut it. If he was more consistent however last season he could have had closer to 20 goals and in a team like us that is fantastic.

They won’t sack him now. Just gave him a 3 year deal unless they have something in the contract that states if he hasn’t won in 10 games or so he can be fired with no payout. I know I know who would sign a contract like that. And then if he does go there would be a big payout for him and all his staff. Then we are in the same cycle of having to spend in Jan and hope we stay up and then during the summer sell off the last of the best players like JSL, Andre and Gomes, and then we are even more weakened.
I hope we do a wolves and go on to somehow win the next two games against form and instill some confidence before the Sunderland game.
Would be nice to have a cup run also.

Uche was not offered more money to play for Palace. That deal fell apart because of Mendes messing stuff up and trying to line his own pockets causing the player and agent to be upset at wolves. I am sure he has had his hand in other things too so not sure why we still use him.

There is probably a lot of restrictions from China and the government and also Fosun being naive thinking that they can just do the bare minimum for a season.
Have to support the boys now and get them going for sure. Just frustrating how like you said Long, 17th is seen by Fosun as some sort of achievement. The penny hasn’t dropped and now we will spend in Jan to get out of the mess I hope.
With that being said, if we can cut out some of these stupid errors then we will start to pick up points and I think we will be around 14th-16th this season. I can’t throw the towel in yet and still have some belief left.
