Read we are considering selling Pedro Lima, I thought we would give him a go this year instead sending out on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jan 2026 20:01:51
Porto B suggests he's not yet ready for a go.

02 Jan 2026 21:01:34
Porto B is still probably an upgrade on Hoever

03 Jan 2026 07:07:54
Now the 3rd, nothing at all firm on the cards so far.
ps
Nice bit of business done by Matt Hobbs in signing Johnson and very quickly!

03 Jan 2026 10:03:02
It’s because palace have owners that understand football and care about their club rugeley, we are stuck with fosun who couldn’t give a shiny Albion about us

03 Jan 2026 14:34:18
Time for a bit of patience, I don’t see many clubs signing players, Palace sign one and now we praise them and Hobbs, Wolves will
Possibly sign one or 2 if players go, otherwise we will probably only get a loan or 2, as fans we need to Understand our position at the table, we hold no cards to play, so no point admiring what other clubs do, get behind Wolves and the changes that have been made and let’s hope our fortunes change.

Stop looking over the fence

Syd, you surely can't be content with where we are?!
A successful business in any sector, is never too proud to learn and use best practice from competitors. Football is no different.

03 Jan 2026 23:50:48
It’s not about being content, it’s about knowing your hand, right now we don’t really have one to attract bigger players, it’s not a game of bullseye, where you say loom at what you could have! It’s reality, and yea I’m realistic in my own opinion.

Do we have what it takes in the squad? I say yes, but it’s more down to how we do it, today was the first time in a while where we seen it with a positive result, dare we dream….

04 Jan 2026 12:14:14
Yep, West Ham have already signed two forwards and Palace sign Johnson. To have the slightest of chances to pull of a miracle and stay up we need new players, a new pacey front three to be exact, early.

We all know it will not happen. Cheers Fosun.

04 Jan 2026 23:00:07
It's very easy to say thanks Fosun.
We aren't a London, Manchester, Madrid or Barcelona club.
It's very easy to state the obvious and not come up with solutions.
It's the same with politics at the moment and Starmer.
We need two forwards and a RWB (for balance) and possibly a cb on loan (to keep clean sheets). I'd also bring Doyle back and give him games for next season regardless of what league we are in. It's too easy to say Gomes and Andre play each week they need some competition.
Players I'd look at that's a tough question with the situation we are in due to poor recruitment over many seasons. But a calamitious one last summer as we were safe in April 2025. But they went for Pubill, Sanches, Guessand, Elliott and Abline. Only Pubill has just got a run of games in Madrid and got player of the month. So were Fosun looking at the wrong players I would say no. Questions over why we didn't get them over the line need to be answered as I reckon they offered the going rate. Semedo was offered a better deal than Turkey but wanted to go.
I think Lima coming back is interesting as I stated in the summer did we need two wingbacks? Arguably Bueno, Lima and R gomes could have done the job.
I'd be tempted to give Lima a chance for a few games in January maybe the Shrewsbury game.
So that could be a RWB brought in.
A CB like Disasi would be ideal at the moment no nonsense clear the ball increase the number of clean sheets.

Physical and can lead as well.
Doubt he will want it but I'd pay an extortionate loan fee to give us a chance.
Upfronts more difficult bergwijn on loan could be an option with prem and CL experience.
Note do we want to drop Mane at the moment? I say play him and encourage Arias and Hwang to run at defences as well every week.
Some rogue shouts but Ngumoha from Liverpool on loan. Yes he is young but maybe he would like 5 months to play and fight for the Wolves.
Fernandes-Pardo another young winger playing for Lille said to be similar to Hazard. He was injured last season but maybe worth a punt this season.
Oliver Burke from Union Berlin yes he played for them lot. But he probably would be a decent championship/lower half prem player.
Or you go for it and say Abline/Aghehowa and Mora do you want to play in the WC this year? What's the fee? Let's do it.
Obviously last line was a joke but surely we can muster something together to compete and give the pack some pride and reward the squad as they have tried this season I don't think it's all down to them to be fair. Some of the strange goals were mental.
And ultimately Vitor decision to play through the middle narrow and not replace pace has left us very vulnerable. We need pace and we signed Tolu (nothing against Tolu but he isn't Neto, Cunha or Jota).

See this is where I get narked, criticism of fosun and your told “ back the club/players” the usual happy clap guff. I have always backed the players I don’t agree with booing players but can see why it happens.

My criticism was and Is of Fosuns absolutely horrendous running of the club, like your rose tinted fosun are wonderful opinion Sydney mine is they are running the club into the ground

05 Jan 2026 19:17:09
I didn't say that De Wolf I just think there's various reasons why we are where we are.
We have been pretty unlucky as well. Over half our games have been lost by a goal and soft goals as well. Managers can only take so much of the blame.
The other factor is for 6 players of the team on Saturday that was there first Premier league win.

Maybe we should be more respectful of how tough this league is.
Maybe Vitor, Jeff's and the club were a bit too confident in the summer it would be fine.
When fans expressed concerns we were ignored.
I just dislike people finding issues with everything but not suggesting solutions.
We all want the best for the Wolves.

05 Jan 2026 19:43:21
I wasn’t actually replying to you madman ?? it was Sydney wolfs post I thought I replied to

05 Jan 2026 20:12:09
De Wolf, I don't remember anywhere saying Fosun are wonderful, they are far from it in my opinion, but were in a position that isn't going to change anytime soon, will we bring in new players, only time will tell, But what I won't do is sit around and look at what other teams are doing and whine about it.

Get narked all you want, we all have our own opinions, my glass will be half full more than half empty.
After all this is meant to be a rumour / Banter site, so no point being narked / offended when folk don't agree with you.

05 Jan 2026 21:50:45
Fair De Wolf :) I'll stay out of it.
Does anyone have any other players we should look at?
Maybe Fatawu at Leicester would be a good option as we could afford him in the Championship as well. Would add pace and strength to our current forwards.

Eric Dier on loan
Angel Gomes
Niklas Sule
Roger Fernandes (Winger) and Gustavo Sa (CAM) as signings for the championship or the prem exciting young Portugese players.

05 Jan 2026 21:51:03
Absolutely no coincidence that the team performed against WHU with the backing of the supporters at last and absence of any anti Fosun/Shi songs.

Pure "guff" according to one on here but an energetic and supportive fanbase 100% improves performance. Fact.

06 Jan 2026 01:27:00
Sorry Sevlow but that is pure guff, because are you SERIOUSLY suggesting that this wkend was the first time the supporters in the ground have backed the team?! If so then just wow! Considering the dross the fans have had to watch it's genuinely incredible that we are still getting the gates that we are!
You also seem to be making a complete assumption and calling it fact, in fairness you not alone as that's also how most news companies operate these days!
Here's another theory for you isn't it entirely possible that leading after 4 mins helps the fans and the team settle into a more positive performance?! Here's another thought for you maybe just maybe the reason the fans weren't singing Shi out is because he's already gone ya know as a response to those fans singing that you seem to dislike SO much?!
I just find it genuinely incredible that you can look at our fan base and what they've been through this season and pin those performances on them, lordy lord I've heard it all now! Incredible mental gymnastics there buddy to make it the fault of the cash paying customers and not the want away owners who have run this club into the ground, astounding work! ?

06 Jan 2026 06:17:37
Have to agree with your comments Bully.
It is frustrating to have some fans posting their distain for "negative " posters,
Those they criticise, I feel are just expressing their concern for the way the Club is being managed, NOT the players.

They also seem to ignore the constructive ideas proposed to improve the Club.
To all those posters in denial, I say praise the good that is done, but challenge the poor things!

06 Jan 2026 10:02:02
Rugeley, my gripe is down to a post about poster on here praising what other clubs are doing in the market, and what position we are to try and bring players in. My concern is Wolves, I don’t give a toss what other clubs are doing. There is no distain against anyone who has an issue with Fosun, as most Wolves fans have and rightly so. But calling people happy clappers and say they wear rose tinted glasses is very childish, as fans we all have our own opinion on what's right and what wrong, but as usual some take things as a personal attack.

This site used to have some great posters and no doubt they are reading from the sidelines, but won’t post for the reason that they feel under attack if they disagree with some of the negativity.

06 Jan 2026 12:49:38
Well Syd, you have a perspective that is yours and others have theirs. My hope is as this is a discussion forum, and all parties accept there will be different views.
One question for you, over the last 5 seasons has the Club progressed or regressed?

06 Jan 2026 15:01:26
I get your point Sydney and for the most agree, however I would argue that up until the end of the last window there was a LOT of disdain for those fans unhappy with Fosun. In fact much like you've said on the other side of the coin it's the very reason why many posters (myself included) stopped posting over the last window; because they were sick and tired of being called negative when they were simply pointing out that there was an ice berg dead a head! I get your point and agree that it's important not to be personal, however to suggest negative posters did not receive a truck load of disdain simply isn't true.

In fact up until the wheels came off I was regularly being told on that I wasn't a real fan and that our squad was going to be FAR better this season than last and why did I need to be negative?! Well those opinions haven't aged well have they, and as such are FAR less common now but they have been the majority of posts on here for the last 5/6 transfer windows ?

06 Jan 2026 17:23:40
I hear you Bully and have agreed with a lot of what you have posted over time, maybe once or twice we have disagreed, but sure that's the purpose of the forum. As you said, you stopped posting for a while due to being fed up, and that I can understand totally. I'm definitely not blinkered or a happy clapper for those who seem to think so, and yes I have been disappointed with a lot that has gone over the last few years, and yes we have gone backwards since 2020, but I feel that looking at what other teams are doing and continually being envious just adds fuel to the fire of disappointment, yes they are entitled to do so, but enough is enough sometimes, we could be at a turning point right now, so I want to wipe the slate clean and move on with the season, the last few games haven't been bad, we shown enough that we can compete with the few changes that have been implemented in the squad.

dare I believe we can do the impossible, I will keep that thought to myself .
Rugeley, we have definitely regressed as a club over the last few years, that is very evident for us all to see and I understand some of the frustration, but as said, I think we are on the turn hopefully and have to see the good that has gone on the last few weeks, does it repair the damage, definitely not, but its a start.

06 Jan 2026 20:11:31
One game at a time Syd. :)
But exactly we all want the same from my perspective I think our signings have dropped off since we didn't have a well known manager firstly Nuno but also JLO.
Nuno actually spent a lot in the transfer windows in the prem fans forget this and think they were all cheap signing like Neves, Jota, Neto and Moutinho.
But JLO spent a fortune in January 2023 (£120m) with an annual wage budget of £310m that season and we still didn't look amazing under him. The football was very possession based and not the most interesting to watch.
Just easy to forget Fosun haven't spent money and the managers haven't had money to spend.
Wolves spent £130m in the summer- I can't see where?
Larsen £27m
Tolu £26m
Lopez £23m
Krejci £22.5m
Arias £17m
Jackson £12.5m
Wolfe £12m
I know this adds up to £140m. I have left it as £130m just before the list as with add ons and the exchange difference between euros and sterling its somewhere inbetween the territory of what it could be.

I would estimate £120m-£135m. This wasn't meant to make Fosun look amazing but it also shows money was spent in the summer and ultimately Shi, Teti and Vitor messed up big time.
If by some look we stay up this season we would need to have a real hard look at what we want and what the plan is for the future.
Personally a manager with some pedigree and without a reluctance of bringing the academy through would be true to our values. Similar to Nuno there was a lot of academy players that didn't get the chance to push on though like MGW, Lembiska, Marques, Goncalves, Vinagre, Cundle, Burr and Giles come to mind in particular.
That list may start a debate but still interesting.
