I was speaking with some fans as I was leaving Molineux today. They had heard a rumour that Guo has personally intervened and removed Jeff from his post. The reason being that he could see that his disastrous tenure is almost certainly going to see us relegated. Guo has allegedly approached a number of high profile people with experience of running football clubs but none of them were prepared to work with Jeff.
They also said Daniel Levy had been approached to take over as Executive Chairman and Dan Ashworth as Sporting Managing Director. Both turned down the offers but may reconsider now that Shi has gone but are not that keen to lower themselves to a Championship club which is what we soon will be.
Guo has taken the decision to remove Shi as he had basically turned the club into a laughing stock.

Dan Ashworth would be a good idea. It would be good to see players develop through the academy and set up similar scout networks to Brighton and Newcastle. The West Midlands and Shropshire must be rife with quality young players.
Levy very similar to Shi very astute financially but is known for not attracting and not paying the going rate for certain quality players.
The question is do you roll the dice and allow a good manager (not Edwards) to rebuild the squad for the second half of the season.
The season is written off so what is the clubs plan?
I'm not sure what the right path is to be honest.
I think it's difficult to say plan for the Championship as Edwards could be sacked if they keep losing. 6 games is a lot of games to be fair and the squad he has is better than Luton IMO. I can't see much difference than Vitor. I'd keep Edwards as a youth coach.
I'd like a manager that is well drilled and has a way of keeping clean sheets.
Then in the January window I would sign some quality at RWB, lwb and two forwards with pace.
Happily sell Larsen, Arias, Andre, Jackson and Wolfe to fund those players.
LWB-Pubill (loan), FW-Jota at Celtic, RWB-Thiago Santos from Lille, CB-Bright Area Mbi from Braga, CM-Mainoo (loan) for Andre.
Oscar Minguisa would be a good option to cover CB and LWB with AFCON
Also not sure on the midfielders but maybe Neves is an option.
I think the club will struggle to sign two forwards so players that have to fight for a WC spot may be the best option.
Also if we plan for the championship Dendoncker and Traore for 2nd half of the season on loan wouldn't be a bad options with their experience.
There is a mixture of different players that would be positive for staying in the prem under a different manager and the championship and developing for next season we also have Doyle out on loan which could be an option for the championship.
But what is the plan have the players and club given up?
And what is Fosun's plan I think w may find out more this week.
I can't see them writing off half a season with a gap (although big at 13 points) as we have to face all the teams around us.
But can they sign the quality and pace on the wings and forwards to put up a fight.

Any respectable company (or CEO) would have been on the case before now. Shameful, irresponsible and unprofessional.
Says it all!

What an absolute crock of ?

I think we lose to both Liverpool and United and then, if West Ham beat us on 3rd Jan, Rob Edwards is gone.

No chance of us signing quality Madman. Quality goes elsewhere. Loan is the only chance of getting decent players in but they will only be peripheral players for their current teams meaning they won't be quality even if they are better than we've got.
Also they'll be out of match practice and of course there are loan limits (2 from other English clubs). Basically, we're way up that well known creek without a paddle or even a canoe!

Agreed Old Wulf. But I don't think the players and coach should be rolling over each week.
Stage one keep a clean sheet so we can build on that.
We lost yesterday as we let a ball bounce (good ball on the replay BTW) and then didn't head that ball clear.
We can't let that happen every game attack the f**king ball as a defender.
Edwards got the subs wrong yesterday we took our width off when Hoever (agreed not good enough) but he was trying to get forward and play crosses in.
After West Ham game 3rd Jan there is 17 games left that's 51 points up for grabs.
The squad isn't as far of picking up results as we think. We need some balance and experience at wing back and some pace and courage in the forwards.
35 points may be enough to stay up.
So what is Fosun's plan.
I agree with the not attracting quality depends who they move out and what the project is short to medium term.
I would roll the dice as I think 3 quality players either loans or signings nd we start picking up points.
But I also don't think Edwards is the man to get us into a shape to keep clean sheets and build on that in the short term.

Pity we can't get Dan Ashworth at the moment we are run by amateurs. Can't believe they train or are coached together, no discipline and shocking work rate. Right from the start the plan was to park the bus and soak up pressure.
We were at home for goodness sake and try to sit on a goalless draw, madness. No doubt RE is a nice books it this lot need a kick up the backside. Could have done with Dyche to shake them up sadly too late now.

Probably is complete garbage but at the moment nothing surrounding WWFC would surprise me.
I suspect Old Wolf is correct, the loan market will probably be the way to go in the January window.
