Top clubs have a Director of Football, we have a Jack of all trades who takes all these jobs on with little or no football knowledge. Much cheaper that way but will prove fatal.

Hate to admit it but if a few clubs including us are interested in a player, our chances are next to zero. After the very expensive investment in Fabio and Guedes it is a case of once bitten. It would be good to know why we invest so much in an Academy when it seems to have no thing seems to come out of there. Is it the coaching falls short? Much the same goes for the under 21s.

Buy Guedes for 27 mill. Well for 5 mill. Shrewd business no wonder we can't afford top players.

Can't see any manager worth his salt would take the job on. Virtually nothing to work with on the playing side and no team spirit. This apathy runs right through the club, just look at results from the academy to the Under 21s. Perhaps the coaching is not up to scratch, I like Vp as a person but leaves a lot to be desired on the pitch. No other club would stand for the results we have suffered since earlier this year. And no sign of change.

Sorry 449 tactics are something Vp doesn't have, can't defend, can't score. It will be the usual play out from the back, get as far as the half way line, then stop and play it back. Slow and ponderous, giving teams lots of time to defend against us. Gone are the Nuno days when we broke with speed and gave teams no chance to regroup. We had top players then who were quickly sold for profit and replaced with inferior players. This policy has caught up with them, we have ended up with virtually no quality Premier ballers.

The writing was on the wall at the end of last season, we were awful. But it was promised we would build for this season, all through the transfer window they say on their hands with no one coming in. We only started to move in the last few days left, when all the decent players had been snapped up. Left us with just panic buys, every club knew our situation and bumped the prices up knowing we were desperate. Hence we have signed more bench warmers. Doubt any of these will be sold on at a profit.

That's what happens when you sell a Ferrari and buy a Reliant Robin. Do they even train together? Like a bunch of misfits with no leader. Newcastle must thank their lucky stars Wolves turned down their 50 mill offer for Larsen, never looks like scoring. When you consider the way we ended last season, the close season was the time for change.
