Assuming Fosun are not going anywhere, and even if they do, we still have the same issues to fix. So what does the club need right now? for me 3 things:
1. A true leader on the pitch - Conor Coady is my obvious choice;
2. A signing that makes the dressing room stand up and go, ok, this is a huge statement - Entice Ruben Neves back.
3. A new manager, tough one to find but I think there are a couple to consider - Rob Edwards and Kevin Muscat. The boxes all these tick include passion and desire and leadership and drive, all things serious lacking in the club right now, and they all understand the club and the fans.

That'll be the ageing Coady who can't even get in a poor Championship team and has deteriorated from the player that wasn't good enough for us 5 seasons ago? Major surgery is obviously needed but that's cutting the jugular in my opinion.
2.) 20 Oct 2025 21:13:57
Rov Edwards and kevin muscatt we scraping the barrel that low wow how the mighty have fallen.

There's a reason why our last 2 managers have been VP and GON. They were the cheap options. The club were paying Lopetegui £8m a season apparently and if they backed him, we would not be in this position now but they chose to cash in on every sellable asset we had and decided that the Cheap and cheerful options were the way forward.

Slinger what planet are you on? Coady, neves, Edwards and muscat!
5.) 21 Oct 2025 09:06:02
Think I'd rather have Muscat back playing centre back.

Anyone still think we’re not going down?
1.) 20 Sep 2025 20:15:15
I still think we will survive.
2.) 20 Sep 2025 20:53:49
??♀️ This guy
3.) 20 Sep 2025 22:43:03
NJ, Rince, what are you guys on?
We have no chance of staying up. Avoiding a humiliating points total has to be the aim now.
That and getting some new owners who will stabilise the club in the championship.
4.) 20 Sep 2025 23:54:15
I think we will survive and I’m happy to come back at the end of the season for the I told you so’s as long as I can do the same if we survive

That’s a good point, t points and a decent goal difference gap, with the 3 important games to come, up or down comes down to the games against Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester.

Good point.we never even tried to win the game.like at bmouth last wk.we looked like we wer playing for a 0-0.then had to do something and got it back to 1-1.then settled for that.we never set up to attack and win a game.doherty needs replacing because he's garbage.otherwise toti n agbadou are solid.gones n andre can attack the ball and win it back for us.then play it back.we have no forward movement.no urgency.jsl was pathetic tnite he has no awareness and is too slow. semedo was ok ran just doesn't attack like he used to.i think wer a team just looking to survive and toooo scared to go and try to win the game.sarabia was actually ok tnite just his ballplay was too advanced for our backward thinking fwds.along with everyone else.pass it sideways.pass it back.pass it sideways.pass it back.its boring garbage.and I think hwang touched the ball maybe twice when he came on.pathetic.overall another poor show.simple as that.if you see it differently please enligjten me

8 of our starting line up today speak Portuguese as their first language, wonder if this is a record?
1.) 22 Dec 2024 14:51:40
Being 3-0 up at half time might be some kind of record ??
2.) 22 Dec 2024 16:08:42
Good win today onwards and upwards COYW

Jackett turned the club around once, so maybe he is the right man for the job again
03 Nov 2025 14:09:29
I’ve been thinking about his coming back, and maybe it’s not as daft as it first appears. We are now comfortable with a back 4 and that suits how he wanted to set us up last season. So maybe it could work? He knows most of the players and the set up so easier to hit the ground running.
The problem child, Cunha, has now left, so maybe the dressing room is in a better place. Maybe I’m clutching at straws?

What the club will be weighing up is will we get more money for him in January or next Summer than we are being offered now? And also does keeping mean we will definitely stay up but if we sell him we are likely to get relegated. I guess no one really knows the answer to those questions but if the club believe we will stay up and we won’t get more money in January or next summer then selling now makes sense.

Interesting also that he topped the league stats for walking the most, 77%ofthe time, the nest 4 on the list were all defenders
18 Mar 2025 07:59:19
He’s too injury prone for anyone to pay that money for him, he’s only completed 90 minutes twice in the league this season.

, as pointed out during the commentary on the radio in the Forest match last week, players were running forwards but not really looking for the ball, so the midfielders could only see the back so of players, no point playing passes to players who aren’t looking tor receive the ball. We also don’t have players like Cody and Neves who had wonderful range of passing so they could spray the ball out wide, we have to keep coming back to pass it across the pitch eventually getting it to the other wing.
Far too easy to defend against this kind of play. It seems there has been a fundamental issue with the coaching for a while now. And of course maybe the recruitment has been off. And when we do buy a player with a good range of passing and always looking the play it forwards we don’t play him then send him out on loan, Doyle.

Oh found it, he played for 1 minute for Liverpool v Newcastle.
06 Dec 2025 20:43:13
Sorry for being stupid, I didn’t realise he’d actually played for Liverpool this season
06 Dec 2025 17:54:31
Harvey Elliott isn’t getting game time on loan at Villa, would be worth trying to hijack that loan. Apparently played 5 times but 10 games triggers the buy guarantee at the end of the loan period.

I suspect that if Krejci has even a little niggle right now he will be wrapped in cotton wool, we will lose Agbadou and Jackson, as well as Tolu, Munetsi and Chirewa for the Afcon in a few weeks.
So can’t afford any injuries to defenders now. Also with so many games coming up rotating the would makes sense and resting those we can afford to rest now before losing those players to AFCON
