December could be a make of break month as we have MGW rocking up at Molineux with Boly on the bench.
Nathan Collins and Keith Andrews will be here with Brentford.
We face Matheus Cunha home and away as well as Arsenal and Liverpool away.
1.) 22 Sep 2025 17:03:51
We will be well on the way to going down by then.
And may go down with no points or the lowest tally ever
The way were playing I can't see where we can get a point.
Its frightening really
2.) 23 Sep 2025 10:30:00
You could well be right Greyleg, I can't see us getting anything as it stands and Fosun promising to buy in January will be wasted money.

Only two teams have survived in the Premier League after losing their first five games.
No team has survived in the Premier League after losing their first six games.

2 teams out of 5 which isn’t bad odds, in the last 5 seasons the highest position we have been after 5 games is 16th, the highest points we had at this stage are 3, we have survived every time. And actually it’s knarf samoht.
2.) 21 Sep 2025 11:09:55
Or would it be samoht knarf goatmark? Either way it's lost on me?
3.) 21 Sep 2025 11:14:36
Firstthepoints I read somewhere that the last team who survived after losing their first 5 sacked the manager. I don’t think we will do this, however, if we continue in the same way, what does Jeff do then?
If VP continues with the same team selection and thought process, surely we will continue in the same way. Our defence will always provide at least one good chance for the opposition, Sa will confuse the defenders and let in goals that he should save. Then we have attacking players who are giants but have no positive impact.
Just can’t see a good way forward at the moment, unless Everton play a much weakened side, we will lose their first next 3, Everton, Spurs and Brighton I think. Really frustrating and embarrassing now to be a Wolves supporter, don’t want relegation but it is what Fosun deserve after the previous few seasons.
4.) 21 Sep 2025 11:30:02
Banksy I think Sa is a good keeper but I just don’t think he can see that far as he has been beaten a few times from distance.
Remember the free kick from Ward-Prowse for instance and the corner?
5.) 21 Sep 2025 11:53:31
Excellent FirstThePoints, Sa can’t see anything outside the box, maybe Agbadou struggles to see short distance as he keeps passing to the opposition directly in front of him ?

Newcastle away.
If we had Patricio, Jonny Otto, Raul, Neves Moutinho, Cunha and Neto in their top form along with Nunos solid defence it would be a tough game.
What are our chances with a bunch of strangers some who have never played in the Premier League?

Stop living in the past, those players have moved on support the ones we have now.
2.) 08 Sep 2025 17:26:51
A draw against Newcastle would be a great result with our bunch of strangers. That said, we have signed well and the results will come. It seems that tall target men are back in fashion, so fingers crossed that JSL is playing! Even Chelsea were looking at him when Delap got injured, so JSL is highly rated generally. He works harder than Cunha, who walked more during matches than any other PL player last season!
3.) 08 Sep 2025 21:11:47
So Cunha scored more goals than our star striker in fewer games while he was walking around?

We need more players with PL experience and I don't want to defend our transfer dealings.
However, is there not a lost irony that none of Patricio, Jonny Otto, Raul, Neves Moutinho, Cunha and Neto had any PL experience before coming to Wolves. They were in fact a bunch of strangers who had never played in the Premier League.
Add to that Nuno had no PL experience as a manger, only English football experience was the previous year in the Championship.
5.) 09 Sep 2025 18:27:56
Patricio and Moutinho have 254 Portugal International caps between them Acle.

6.) 10 Sep 2025 09:55:11
Yes but you explicitly stated never played in the Premier League - you didn't mention international appearances, and that's only two players so my point still stands. Plus Wolves in both cases was their first Premier League experience.
7.) 13 Sep 2025 09:44:10
Stop living in the past let's see what these guys can do as for Nuno yes good three years but he had his faults we should have got to the cup final but he cocked it up I've heard moans and groans when he was in charge about his tactics
03 Sep 2025 19:45:12
At this stage of last season the three promoted teams had 0 points on the board.

All the more to overtake then FTP, lol. Seriously though, I'm hearing people ask the question 'was our window really that bad'? I think under normal transfer circumstances, such as, a little upgrade or replacement here and there it would have been ok, but on the back of 4 years of selling off our best and having to be rescued from relegation by a new Manger, twice, it wasn't inspirational which it needed to be, but it may yet be enough, just.
These days Wolves fans are often heard using the word 'hope' a lot, which tells you the levels of confidence they have in the way the Club is being run. But that's all we've got other than 'no hope', I suppose. Personally, I think VP is still in pre season to some degree, so I don't expect too much until later in September but then the pressure will come on if there is no sign of improvement.

Newcastle game is massive now.
If we beat them we can climb out of the relegation zone and plunge them into it.
Is that why they tried to unsettle Jorgan?

Not much chance of beating Newcastle

Wandering Star we didn’t take the lead against Sunderland.

Hope you are right with your prediction Longmynd and it would be a remarkable victory.
The last time we faced Sunderland at Stadium of Light was in the championship in 2018 when we lost 0-3 and we had a better team then which included Saiss Neves Jota MGW Helder Costa and a much younger Matt Doherty.

Following the signing of the new improved contract JSL Achilles injury which can usually take up to a year to fully recover from has shown a remarkable recovery and he could feature in the midweek Carabao cup tie against Everton.

Don’t let Jeff know or he will be taking bids when the transfer window opens.
