That's why we're not getting automatic promotion but have a chance of scraping into play-offs.

Why? Yes, Jackson cost us. But even with all their huff and puff, they had to rely on us scoring for them. We should have gone 2-0 when Gomes missed his chance, and then Armstrong should have scored too. We make things harder for ourselves. So, early on in the season, though. I think we will be up there for sure!!

Need to reset and calm down. Much better side. Jackson, I know you must be feeling it right now, one of the worst own goals, but I also put it down to Sa for not shouting at him.

Their first goal was well taken but it was a clear handball to control the ball. Keep the press and intensity and I can see us scoring another couple in the second half.

Well, I would say it was an interesting strike by Jackson. Is Nasser injured?

I see both sides scoring... Do we really have no one better than Tatchouah? He, along with Toti, have been awful all season... Peixoto finally seeing sense, moving Kreyci in, but, boy, could we have done Doc instead at RB.

06 Sep 2026 13:56:41
If only Armstrong had the accuracy of Jackson, and Jackson that of Armstrong, we could still be winning.

06 Sep 2026 14:03:29
Tchatchoua is awful, fast legs, slow brain. We need an alternative to him at right back, surely Lima can't be worse?

2

06 Sep 2026 14:04:26
Armstrong should never pull on a Wolves shift again. He did nothing all game, then missed a sitter.

3

06 Sep 2026 14:07:33
There was no handball in the lead up to their goal.

Jackson was poor today, as was Andre, who spent too much time dilly dallying on the ball.

We were outplayed and outfought in the 2nd half, but should have taken the lead through Armstrong.

Krejci looked a lot calmer than Toti at left-sided CB, but we need Trippier back ASAP as the RB and leader.

Correct, B hill wolf. Armstrong with an almost hopeless performance. Basically, did nothing except miss an open goal. Absolutely no reason to ever see him start a Wolves game ever again.

Tchatchoua with one of the worst performances I've ever seen from a Wolves player.

06 Sep 2026 14:15:24
We were very lucky in the second half. Birmingham played us off the park. They deserved to win, we deserved nothing.

06 Sep 2026 14:40:08
Don't know why Cesar starts with Munetsi and Armstrong. You're virtually carrying two passengers in the team; it's only going to get harder as the game progresses. He must surely start Jordan James from the start now!

I'm going 2 nil to us today.

06 Sep 2026 12:57:43
Is that just Tchoutchou v Sa Simonandlaura? What an outrageous OG. He thinks he's wearing Sky Blue in the halftime break.
We've got to get our heads up, and confidence back again now.
Thought we were doing OK until the shocker.
If we can come out with the same desire 2nd half, we can nick it.
Brum can't be underestimated tho.

A clean sheet? As I've stated, every game we will have to outscore everyone to get any points...

Was relieved to see Toti on the bench, but as long as Calamity Jackson is on the field you're guaranteed goals - what a clown he is.

Anyways, half time has been entertaining, if not outright hysterical.

Hopefully, Djigga is able to continue second half, as we can't have both liabilities on the field at the same time.

UTW.

Krejci in for Toti. Jimenez captains the side.

06 Sep 2026 13:04:32
Jimenez needs to step up. Not playing with the same intensity he showed last season. Not convinced with Armstrong out on the left. He's much better and dangerous playing off a striker.

06 Sep 2026 13:08:03
Agreed, thank goodness for King Lopez.

Krejci is in for Toti and Armstrong for Mane.

Would like to see some positivity from the owners and CEO.
They're not saying much while making a profit in the transfer window.

There are 2 distinct issues regarding positivity.

Cesar Peixoto has clearly changed the playing style, intensity, and work rate of the players he inherited, and therefore there is no negativity towards him or most of the squad.

However, Fosun came out in the fans' forum and promised so much, but delivered so little. My negativity is towards the ownership and how they hold us fans in contempt.

Indeed.
Nathan! Nathan Nathan!!!!
Plus tens of thousands of loyal Wolves fans hear from you!
Personally.
Not Mark or either, you!
You got good support and reaction from most of us initially, after the very dire Jeff years.
You made decisions and statements early, and similarly with the sacking of the manager and appointment of the new one, with a lot of support then.
But, you know how most of us feel, and have voiced that.

Not all in agreement, naturally. 😁
But, through all the pre and long transfer window and since, I don't think there have been any, at least major or significant statements, revelations, or direction from you at all.
Why?
Please, do not let these be the bad old days Mk 2 s***.
You're the man. Do it!
Speak to us! Now.
It's no fun being a Wolves mushroom (if you don't know the saying/joke, I'm sure someone will fill you in). 😁

What did they actually promise? To push for promotion asap? Is that not what we are doing? Keeping the majority of our prem experienced players and young talent, which they must deem able to push to get back in the prem. Burnley sold a lot of their players over the summer, and look where they are currently.

This is what he said:

In previous seasons we always bought players very late in the last week of August, where the premium is super high, and some players come here with zero minutes of Premier League experience.

They don't work well, so, in November, we change the coach. In the winter, we spend even more money trying to recover from the problem, while, on the other hand, we need to pay the Financial Fair Play, so that's a lot of burden on the club.

We are trying very hard to solve this problem about buying players late in the market, and this is definitely not acceptable.

We want to have a team well prepared to go to our pre-season, so we do have enough time for the players to train with each other, because there is definitely going to be a lot of new faces this year.

He added: "I don't want the players to view Wolves as just one stop in their career, so if they play well we can get them to City or United, and if they don't play well, we can still sell them somewhere else.

As I said, I have no issues with Cesar Peixoto, who I think is doing a decent job, but it seems that Fosun, despite saying that they wanted to get players in early as they know that getting them in at the end of the window doesn't work, decided to get the players in at the end of the window."

Reports are saying Wolves have signed Bertrand Traore, passed his medical. 1 year deal, option of another if Wolves get promoted. If true someone is leaveing. Or nobody leaves and are not included in the 25 man squad. Santi must be going. He's not going to play, where Saudi maybe.

2

06 Sep 2026 09:48:45
The sooner he has gone, the better, and then we can get on with getting promoted.

Win tomorrow and we joint top, that's got to be good aint it.... not all doom and gloom.

05 Sep 2026 18:55:15
We won 1-0 with a goal from Bonatini last time we played there.
Ruddy, Doherty, Douglas, Bennett, Coady, Boly, N'Diaye, Saiss, Jota, Bonatini, Cavaleiro.
Those were the days.

3

05 Sep 2026 22:21:48
Our side now is better than that side then.

1

05 Sep 2026 22:34:31
The team from 2017 would have beaten Blackburn at home and got a draw away at West Ham.

2

06 Sep 2026 00:16:52
Doesn't matter!!!!!!!. With that defence, we're going nowhere fast. Worse defence than the one that took us into Div 4. Get a grip, folks, cus Blues stand a good chance of turning us over & so do the village idiots down the road. God help us, I pray.

3

06 Sep 2026 07:53:29
Think you must have had an enjoyable night, Lex, because, bad as our defence might be, it's miles superior to the one that took us into Division 4!

1

06 Sep 2026 10:35:22
No, Old, it ain't. Stoke should have gone 2 up, then it's a different game. We got lucky v Blackburn & a poor West Ham turned us over.

0

06 Sep 2026 10:46:01
Of course it is, Lex. I had to go and suffer those three dreadful straight relegation seasons.

Interesting early results in Championship today. Preston & Stoke City wins.

Some teams improve after poor starts while others flatter to deceive.
