An experienced player up for grabs could be a certain Leander Dendoncker.

I also saw us being linked with resigning Coady on Sky, strange times indeed ?

2.) 19 Jun 2025 09:46:44
Both good additions for squad depth Said Donk would have been good in January.

3.) 19 Jun 2025 11:32:48
We certainly need depth and experience, in addition to young first team starters.

4.) 20 Jun 2025 17:06:52
Can’t believe we are even considering either of these two options. Both struggled toward the end of their time first time around. Both have declined significantly since them
There is no place for sentiment in this league. It is improving year on year and becoming ever more competitive. Increasingly difficult for promoted teams.
Surely lessons will be learned from last year when we found ourselves in a relegation dog fight with them. Whose to say one or two might buck the trend and move comfortably into mid-table safety. We need upgrades in all areas of the team and neither of these will provide that.

Rated : Thanks for pointing that out, however doesn't stop myself and a growing number of others from feeling desperately disappointed by Fosun's obvious failure to run our club in the manner fans deserve. Whole generations of potential supporters are growing up never to set foot in Molineux, nobody under the age of fifty would have been at Wembley last time we won a Cup (Sherpa Van was a trophy) and you'd be well over seventy to even remember our last League title or FA Cup victory, Fosun promised to put us back on the map, older fans were banking on them, some of us just can't wait much longer, we needed to see at least some progress in the ten years they've been in ownership, nothing! No Stadium improvements, no fan facilities around Molinex, no players who really want to be here, no local lads to get behind, in fact no players from our own Country and most definitely no plan for the long term future. Every Fosun day is a wasted day, nothing to look forward to except the day they decide to go, that day can't come soon enough

Have to agree Ron, not good being a Wolves supporter these days. Greylegwolf I hope you are correct v Burnley being VP’s last chance, get the feeling we will draw and Jeff will then keep VP. Every other club would have already replaced him, anyone would think nobody wants to come. Surely even Jeff is starting to make enquiries ?

2.) 20 Oct 2025 13:22:10
Ron I felt utterly despondent this morning and your post as summed things up for me.
The only thing I can look forward to is avoiding relegation, ok the carabao is still in progress, but in reality it's only a hope.
We need action now, Posc went from forest in 18mins after the game on sat, will we see Jeff have the same guts and preparation should we lose on Sunday?
VP is a decent, maybe too decent a guy, but it's not working for him and more importantly the club.
We need an overhaul, we need a club spirit back, fosun are letting our history, legacy and pride evaporate.

3.) 20 Oct 2025 13:27:09
I think that's a good point Ron, younger fans won't have those experiences to reflect on, maybe lower league so the Premier League football will be the pinnacle of their time as a Wolves fan.

However, as you say us older ones have tasted success before the decline of the 80's and just would like to see some of that again rather than the continuous struggles against relegation every year. I thought Fosun were a dream come true when they bought the club but now wonder if all their big talk on arrival was just that, as beyond their first couple of years, the only true ambition now being Premier League survival, which is looking increasingly unlikely

The whole thing is a farce really and as you suggest us older ones may never see any level of success again but frankly under Fosun, neither will the younger ones. I came to the same conclusion as you a few years ago, that Fosun have zero intention of developing the club or backing it to do better, I have completely lost faith in them.

To be clear they need to sell up, otherwise what's the point of it all?

4.) 20 Oct 2025 13:29:19
I totally agree Ron Moore. Very well put. This is no knee-jerk reaction but a ealistic view of the wasted years under Fosun. Especially hits us older supporters who endured the wilderness years and the Bhatti Brothers.

5.) 20 Oct 2025 13:31:31
I think this is what the other clubs in the league and journalists want to divide the fan base and turn us on Fosun.
I agree (I've been an optimist and supporter of Fosun the past 3 years when questions have been asked) but the business this summer was awful. If we had signed the players we were linked with we would have had a great team: Pubill, Juanlu Sanchez, Abline and Casado.
I think we aimed too big and the market changed with all the big clubs spending big to keep pace with Liverpool and Man City for example.
The reality is we can't make the commercial revenue that Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd etc make. Even Tottenham, Newcastle and Villa have moved away from us.
The best thing we could do is invest in Molineux and sell land to a major investor similar to what Chelsea have done.
So a further wedge is inserted between the club and fans as prices have rose as we can't compete with West Ham, Everton, Newcastle, Villa, Brighton and Sunderland now with bigger stadiums. They have an extra 30% income from their stadiums. Its not massive but it all adds up to 5% more than Wolves.
The commercial revenue is crazy we make around £250m per year whilst Man Utd are making £800m+.
That's why even though they finished below us they can spend £250m on players.
I don't agree with the rules and feel maybe Fosun have grown tired of the rule changes since they have owned Wolves, FFP, VAR etc etc.
The Premier League stopped Wolves from getting CL football with that squad in 2019/2020 the game at Burnley will live long in my memory.
Nuno made his mistakes in the FA cup semi and the sale of Jota over Traore was a disaster.
I can't blame all these events on Fosun if any of them.
We have progressed a lot from the club that we were in 2015/2016 and the reaction of the fans is good as that shows where we want to take the club in the future.
We need to stick with the squad though as they want to play for Wolves and have shown fight over the past few weeks. I thought the first goal Saturday was pretty good to be fair. And we tried to get an equaliser which is what fans have harked on about the past few seasons going more aggressive.
The change of match times is diabolical and is further testimony to show we are just customers to the Premier League. Its too far much IMO.
As a club we need to stick together. Yes it is alarming that we are 5 points off safety but we also need to take the positives of the games against Bournemouth, Newcastle, Everton, Spurs and Brighton.
If we cut out our mistakes we will start moving up the league. We need the experienced players to take accountability for that.
But Molineux needs to be as hostile as it possibly can be on Sunday at 2pm for Burnley, the ref and the Burnley fans. It needs to feel like 8pm on a Friday night game.
Instead of negativity let's just stick with the teams for the full 90 minutes for a result.
Out of darkness cometh light.

6.) 20 Oct 2025 20:47:53
I'm with you on a lot of what you say Madman, but with the recent games, we have seen a very negative trend in our play, players who have not been performing have still been picked consistently, this adds fuel to the fire for fans to be aggrieved, it always feel much worse when your staring up the league from the bottom, the 2 draws against Spurs and Brighton compounded the frustration and ramped up the anger, as these were 2 games we had control of and threw the wins away with bad game management, that is solely down to The management team, I like VP and I hope he turns things around, he's a gent that deserves time to get this right, we can relieve him of his duties and get someone else in, but that does not mean we automatically survive, its could give us more problems.
I remember when Ariola first went to Bournemouth, he had his ups and downs and the fans wanted him gone, he was backed by club, he lost a few players but he finally stamped his own mark on the team over time.
I do see both sides of coin in all of this and yes, results have been poor, in many other clubs, VP would have been sacked, but I do think we owe him some fat, he came to us when no other coach would, and kept us up by a good margin, I'm hoping that the tide will turn, Defensively we have improved a lot from the start of season, now we need to look to change our forward and attacking areas to improve our goal scoring margins.
We have the players to compete, we just need that bit of desire to get on front foot more, release the shackles, as I think we are being over cautious.
I will be over in UK for the Burnley and Chelsea cup game, hoping we get some results and we can get some point on table.
I still have some hope the season will turn, said it before and Il take a punt again that we do, but we have a big job ahead, 3 points Sunday would be a good start.

Jaz : How long do you need to realise we have poor owners, ten years to achieve nothing after promising the World. 37 years since the Sherpa Van, 45 years since a League Cup, 65 years since winning the top division and 66 years since FA Cup glory. You should be looking forward to when Fosun have gone, 19 other clubs in the Prem are thankful they're not at their club. Fosun are the most short sighted. Clueless owners we've ever had, they have failed to realise the potential of the club and have no idea of the size of our fan base or catchment area, all they had to do was give fans a team, Stadium and club to be proud of, they're an embarrassment to Wolverhampton and the Premier League.

Ron Moore

1.) 19 Oct 2025 16:32:12
Ron Moore, I think we've all been duped as the other thread suggests that this is a fake account.

2.) 19 Oct 2025 17:46:39
The owners backed vp the buck stops there i'm afraid for me. Y buy people like dija and fer lopes to not play 5hem? Mpyoui another one for future who cost about 5 plus million. Recruitment has been so so poor. We need prem players or hungry championship player. Arias not prem ready let alone anywhere near a chuna replacement. I think we are doomed this season. We are going down I hate to say it but we are in the 3 worst teams in the league

3.) 19 Oct 2025 17:48:34
I don't think that was Jas mate, the grammar was different to how the real Jas types.

4.) 19 Oct 2025 18:33:14
What do you suggest Ron the millions of pounds that some clubs are in debt we all know what is happening but don't you think that the poor on field management is also to blame with very poor tactics inadequate substitutions poor team selection we all know about the players we've lost but where would we be without Fosun mid table champion ship maybe worse there were quite a few thousand of still cheering yesterday were you one of us or do you become obsessed about getting Fosun out if they go you might regret who does take over do you want to go into admin again

5.) 19 Oct 2025 18:35:52
Did they back Simon? If you finish with more money than you started with is that backing someone or is that yet AGAIN pinching the pennies?!

6.) 19 Oct 2025 19:04:54
I hear this all the time B Hill and it's just nonsense. You tell me how many Prem clubs have gone bankrupt whilst in the Prem since the FFP reforms have come in?! I'll save you goggle search cause the answer is zero! This ridiolous suggestion of continually going 'well it could be worse it could be the Bhati brothers' is redundant old school tripe! If you want to see REAL financial strife just wait till the end of the season! Cause ironically whilst fans tell us buyer beware Fosun are leading down a financial sh1t storm if we do indeed get relagated! And can anyone honestly tell me after watching that complete dross this wkend that we aren't headed for the Championship?!
As for the poor on field management I don't entirely disagree but to do better you need two things options and quality. We don't have either!

7.) 19 Oct 2025 19:17:09
Well they spent maybe not backed but we brought in about 6 players nowhere near good enough and some not even in the 1st team

8.) 19 Oct 2025 19:50:04
They're not the Bhatti bothers in there defence.

9.) 19 Oct 2025 20:05:51
I didn't say they were did I?! No, what I'm saying is that using the Bhati brothers as a Bogey man style panic of saying a new owner= doom and bankruptcy is frankly nonsense!
Also Ard maybe have a look at some of TFGs posts regarding our finances, cause they may be a LOT closer than some think if/when we are relagated! ?

10.) 19 Oct 2025 20:43:46
Why do failing owners even deserve support, yes we got promoted and did well for a couple of years but since then it's been a decline from European competition contenders to relegation contenders for the last 4 years running.

I what parallel universe is that the basis for unswerving support without fans airing their dissatisfaction. How many fans in truth share Fosun's belief that 17th or better is mission accomplished?

11.) 19 Oct 2025 21:18:14
The writing was on the wall at the end of last season, we were awful. But it was promised we would build for this season, all through the transfer window they say on their hands with no one coming in. We only started to move in the last few days left, when all the decent players had been snapped up. Left us with just panic buys, every club knew our situation and bumped the prices up knowing we were desperate. Hence we have signed more bench warmers. Doubt any of these will be sold on at a profit.

12.) 20 Oct 2025 09:18:13
Relegation is a big big problem. The value of the club decreases massively meaning it's less likely the owners would sell. It can cost a fortune to come back up. EFL have their own profitability criteria. If you manage to come up the gulf is bigger and it's harder to lessen it due to the spending rules. You're also shopping in a completely different store for new signings, and anyone half decent the PL clubs will still be able to buy them off you.

Stoke have got some of the richest owners in the country. Look how they have faired since relegation. I fear we're going to go exactly the same way.

13.) 20 Oct 2025 09:29:57
Excellent post Ron-only what I have been saying for a long time. The number of successive administrations that have failed at this club is a disgrace, and Fosun are the latest in that line.

14.) 20 Oct 2025 12:58:59
BB I know you didn't but currently that is just about the only thing that can be said, period.

15.) 20 Oct 2025 17:46:10
Also why did they bother signing pedro Lima just to send him out on loan?

03 Oct 2025 15:05:53
Off the pass time of bickering with Albion fans and baring in mind we still think the West Midlands is a hotbed of football couldn't help noticing the only game in the region is at Walsall, a Saturday afternoon in the height of the season and all the stadiums standing empty, makes you wonder what's happened to our game.

Ron Moore

1.) 03 Oct 2025 18:07:52
TV Ron fella, that's what's happened to our game! It's catch 22 cause we all like being able to catch those away games on Sky but like ya say it definitely comes at a price, along with the price of stupid kick off times and more mid week matches! ?

2.) 04 Oct 2025 08:23:27
It's called progress Ron, or Capitalism to be more accurate. 3.00pm on a Saturday was like a call to prayer with only Cup replays (remember them) drifting into the midweek.

Catch the report shortly after the game in the 'Pink' or wait for MOTD or Soccer Sunday if ITV covered it. Then read up on other reports in the back pages of the Sunday papers with your position and size of the write up down to your clubs status, so that's not changed.

3.) 04 Oct 2025 11:53:29
Interesting philosophical discussion.
Is it progress?
Footballers used to earn less than the local bank manager now they earn double what the bank manager earns a year every week!
Top level English football was seen by well under 400k people a week. Now more than that will watch it in Seoul!
The teams were largely made of local players or at least players from these Isles and the first 11 remained relatively stable for years.
Now the squads have hardly any players born in the UK and rotate faster than the "Magic Roundabout"
A well run club such as say Ipswich or Derby could compete at the very top level now, (other than the fluke that was Leicester ), many fans won't have seen anyone outside of the big 5 - sorry Spurs - win the league in their lifetime!
So many changes.
However in reality it is the fans - via their Sky subscriptions - who brought this about. So yes Capitalism but also democracy.
Is it good? Is it what you want?
Are there unintended (/intended?) consequences?
Is football dying and being replaced by business?
Sadly I fear you can say the same for all sport in this country.
Take out the 8% of kids educated privately and kids brought in from overseas and most of the top level and even the national teams in other sports collapse.
Perhaps Jeff is right and esports is the way forward!

4.) 04 Oct 2025 20:33:52
I think the 3pm on a Saturday kick-off came about when employment laws changed in 1850 and workers had to be let go by 2pm on a Saturday (or something like that). The idea being that it would give the masses something to do, and the match would be over while it was still just about light in the winter (given there were no floodlights, half time breaks were shorter, and injury time was a mere glint in the referee's eyes). But when you look at it, games used to be played at all sorts of odd times and on strange days, including Christmas Day. I don't think the 3pm on a Saturday thing is especially important historically. But as we've all got so used to it, I get why there is an idealistic desire to keep it free from TV footage simply to ensure fans aren't tempted to stay at home and watch it instead of turning up at the ground.

5.) 05 Oct 2025 12:25:46
I remember the 80s and 90s when every team from every nation were restricted to only 3 'foreigners' in a team. Man Utd at the time had 2 choose only 3 from Schmeichel, Irwin, Kanchelskis, Keane and Cantona. Liverpool.

The scouting industry was pivotal in those days whereas now, whoever has the most money gets to cherry pick who they want.

23 Aug 2025 01:44:00
Tuesday's league cup tie against a fellow PL club looks likely to attract the lowest attendance at Molineux in the Fosun era, proving that season ticket holders renewed for one reason only, they're not quite ready to give up their seats.

Ron Moore

1.) 23 Aug 2025 12:45:49
Or simply proving that when you already spend good time and money doing bi-weekly trips to and from the club in the league then a domestic cup that we likely won't take seriously doesn't feel like it's worth the cost or effort?! Seems a little bizarre to moan at season ticket holders for a lack of commitment?!

At this incredibly sad time I really wish I was articulate enough to.put into words my admiration for Ruben Neves

Ron Moore

1.) 05 Jul 2025 15:26:49
I absolutely endorse your words Ron, apparently he was one of the coffin bearers, what an emotional time, and a time when true character is seen.

2.) 05 Jul 2025 17:30:50
Of all the very many great players our great club have had I would put Neves in the very top bracket along with the likes of Stan Cullis, Billy Wright, John Richards, Steve Bull. Not just a great player but a great human being. A true Wolves legend.

We can believe everything that's leaked out of Wolves then, only one man knows what's going on and he's not telling anyone, at least half our players agents will be looking to move them on in January or at least re - visit their relegation clauses.

Clubs don't tell fans anything that's going on or what the owners intentions are but when it comes to the Millions of £££££'s being chucked about like confetti we're supposed to take the figures involved as gospel, really, it makes absolutely no difference to fans whether a fee is a hundred Million or a hundred pounds anyway, its them and us, their money to play with, we can pay to watch, if we so choose.

How could Forest fail to see what's happened to Wolves since Nuno? Forest fans have been on cloud nine with Nuno, you have to feel for them if their next six seasons follow a similar path to our own, their fans must be as gutted as most of ours were. Sometimes you remember exactly where you were when you hear momentous news, I remember where I was when it was announced on the car radio about Nuno leaving at the end of the season, can't recall anything similar concerning those who've been and gone since, don't know what but it must mean something.

Nuno needs a club that'll let him manage without the interference of owners, CEO's and Directors of football, not many about in the greed leagues of World football these days, it's all about the money, not the fans or the entertainment.
