A win today will put us in a decent position going into next week's game. Let's not forget that our recent 'blip' has come against West Ham, who some are saying are the overwhelming favourites to go up, and a derby against The Blues, but more importantly, these games were away from home and massive for the other teams too.

Christ on a bike!! What’s with all the doom and gloom??? 5 games in. Everyone, manager included, are still getting to grips with each other and the league. They will improve and it won’t be long. Krejci back is a huge plus. Trips not far behind and things will start to look very different. Once we stop letting in goals and get tighter at the back we’ll be fine.

Keep the faith. Be positive. You’re a long time dead. We’re living the dream… no VAR!!! Come you Wolves fans, let’s bring it. For those going to Bramall Lane tomorrow, let’s get behind the team and Jackson (he’s still a Wolf right now) and make more noise than that lot in their own back yard. Despite the doom and despondency shown by some, we're still a work in progress. Missing trips is obviously affecting the balance, and Jackson has been a subject of 'interest', not helped by his OG, but if he gets his runs, crosses the ball, and finds Raul a couple of times today, it'll be forgotten.
I've watched other games and highlights of yesterday, and can't see we're any worse. In fact, I think we are more creative in many ways.
So get a good positive today, give a good showing at Everton, and face the Tesco lot next week with confidence.

Then we'll be right on track.
It won't be easy today; no game will be, but I reckon we can take the points. Our weak points are, of course, the defence, but I'm glad Kreiji is back in the fold with some game time, and hopefully he and Deija will have gained an understanding.
We need to plug some gaps in midfield; maybe go 3, losing Armstrong?
Going for a cheering 3-1, Old Gold today.

Think it's highly unlikely that if Wolves were promoted they would keep the same squad. Let's see if we can get there first. Don't get this negativity after 5 league games.

The current side we all know will struggle if - and let's not say it as if it was a bad thing - Wolves were to go up.
But it must be possible that players such as Mane, Gomes, Lopez, (pretty sure on that one), and Djiga, to name just 4, would have grown since last season - when 2 of them weren't even there!
James may well also be of the required quality by next season, so, when added to the 2 known Prem quality players in the squad, Krejci and Andre, Wolves might have as many as 7 Prem quality players in the squad.
Boosted by "adequates" like Yerson, Hugo and Sa, the squad would "only" - yes, it's a huge "only" - be, say, 7, 8 or 9 players short.


I'm assuming Trippier and Raul won't make it to next year, especially if it is in the Prem.
Whilst, as I have said before, it is a shame Wolves didn't do more this summer (albeit we know they were limited by financial constraints), surely, if promotion looked likely, some of the work that will be needed will be done in Jan?
That would both help promotion prospects, but also make the 2027 summer window more realistically achievable.

Thought our defence looked better with Krecji back in it last week. One silly mistake, and against West Ham a big deflection, a silly tackle for their penalty, and closing down quicker, it wouldn't look so bad, would it?

I didn't miss anything, perhaps you need to read the threads again. The whole point was Ron Moore was saying we would be 8 points behind first by the next time we play. This then turned into a rant about how we are dropping down and down.



I disputed that it would be 8, as no one knows what might happen. And, as proven, it is only 6 points, so win our games and we will be level on points.

Safe to say, Wrexham's pre season tour is affecting them.

Sheer lunacy to take an average group of players around Europe and the US and then expect them to be effective in the Championship. I watched the West Ham game, and the Wrexham players were knackered. At times, the West Ham players were strolling through them.

I also watched their game vs Swansea, and after 60 or so minutes the Wrexham players were exhausted.

These types of pre season tours might be okay for Premier League teams - with players who are superior - but the Championship starts earlier and is non-stop, relentless from day one.



This is why, for me, it's so important for lesser clubs to have as many players as possible from the UK and Western Europe. Too often, after international breaks, players are coming back from all over the world far too close to domestic games, and surprise surprise they're utterly shagged out.

Wolves play Middlesbrough on October 10th, and Wolves are historically **** after international breaks. Let's pray that all the players come back without issue and have enough time to recover.

It's easy to look at yesterday's West Ham result and get carried away. West Ham will most likely win the Championship, but I watched the game last night and Wrexham were woeful. They were absolutely dreadful, and it was only their keeper that stopped it from being a record win for the Hammers.

The Wrexham players looked shattered from the first whistle.

Although Wolves lost heavily away at WHU recently, you have to acknowledge that Wolves were not at full strength and were more than a little unlucky - dominating for long periods, but failing to take chances and conceding some soft goals.
If Wolves can get the first 11 on the pitch, it is likely to be highly competitive - the drop off, however, from the first 11 is worryingly large, with an unbalanced and very shallow squad.


I expect WHU to win the league, but would hope that Wolves can be close behind. However, it may need a little push from the Jan transfer market!
But, surely, if Wolves are close to automatic in Jan, Fosun, even if only acting in their own financial interest, would not be so stupid as to fail to prepare for that possibility. Selling a Prem team will raise so much more than selling a non prem team.
