I really rate Cozier Duberry. He’s a great player and would suit Wolves and Peixoto. Left footed right winger, likes to cut in and test the keeper. Perfect addition if it happens.

Perfect end to the window lining up
Cozier Duberry in
Jordan James in
Brayan Medina in

Hugo Bueno to Atletico €20 million
Dan Bentley to Coventry free
Hwang out
Krejci out.

How would losing our only quality CB and LB be a perfect end to the window? I thought the idea was to try and improve the team, no?

The incomings were the perfect end, not the outgoings, sorry about that, Bully.

I think one thing we can all agree on is, as loyal fans, we have been lied to since Nuno left, and that’s why he left, as Fosun never backed him. O’Neill, although I never rated him, said the same. Perraira, who I think we all took to, wasn’t backed, Edwards just a guinea pig and yes man.

Ok, JJ appears like a good signing; however, choose JJ or Neves. The injured winger on Jota, a young Jimenez or Armstrong? Boly or Toti. New signings promised before pre season and £200 mil pledged if needed. What we spent? 7 mil on a unproven winger.

Career goals in PL & International football; Armstrong 8. Hwang 41. Just saying. COYW

If Fosun do sell Hugo Bueno, which looks like it is going to happen, then Harry Amass is a good option, but he might not want to come as he won't get guaranteed playing time, he will be used as a bench option. But we could go ahead and try to sign Ruben Vinagre, who has been playing well in Poland, also there is a sentimental value, also I think Wolves have 50% of his economic rights.

Might cost the club downwards of 2 mil. Also he is good at going ahead dribbling and crossing.

Ran on loan?

It's a funny old world. For the past two or three weeks there has been a high level of criticism leveled at the club with a lot of calls of "Fosun out". Where are all the signings etc. Plenty of calls for the club to sign Jordan James.

The club takes too long and will make excuses when the window closes etc.

Now we have signed James. There doesn't seem to be so many "well done Fosun" comments which perhaps sums up the biased views that are often taken by some on here.

Anyone talk about me?

20 Aug 2026 19:56:06
James looks a good signing, but I'll reserve the well done, Fosun/Wolves, until the transfer window closes.

With Jordan James coming in, I think a lot of Wolves fans were feeling positive. This was until this morning when the news broke of the injuries to Trippier and Mosquera.

Wolves fans haven't had much to cheer about for some time. Many fans, especially after the fans' forum, were looking forward to a successful season in the Championship, with their beloved team punching their way out of the league.

Currently, it looks like the Championship is going to be one long brutal slog.

Come September 1st, if Fosun hasn't built a team capable of promotion to the Premier League, the fans queueing up to congratulate/thank them for their efforts will fit into a Ford Fiesta - with room leftover to transport a piano.

20 Aug 2026 21:47:20
Fosun hasn't signed anyone. The club did that. Fosun gets criticised for the self sufficiency policy they have imposed on the Club, so they deserve zero credit for signings which are made in spite of that.

20 Aug 2026 22:19:20
Didn't Nathan Shi and Matt Jackson both say that the squad needed an overhaul and would look very different come the start of this season? So, why then did we start matchday 1 with 10 players that were here last season? How is that the big overhaul they promised?

1

20 Aug 2026 23:14:03
Haha, that's a very brave call, Derry mate! 😂
At the time of writing, as a club, we are currently £30m up on transfers, with a team that looks like it'll do well to finish in the playoffs! If someone stole your car, would you thank them for sending back the wing mirror in the post? 🤣

20 Aug 2026 16:57:02
I 4 1 hope Adam Armstrong is out wide, runs a lot but can't go at players. He's a proven goalscorer at Championship level but as a 9. I'd rather a wide player on the wings.

0

20 Aug 2026 17:44:53
Supposed to saybis not out wide.

20 Aug 2026 16:34:04
We need new goalkeepers if we want to win or draw games. Yes, Sa was good back in the day and Bently, but they are too old. We have to replace them with someone younger if we want to have a chance of lifting the Championship trophy.

20 Aug 2026 17:09:42
Jd, Wolves need to sell first. If Sa or Johnstone don't leave, won't buy. Simple as. Rather Sa stays and plays.

5

20 Aug 2026 17:11:09
Maybe you're right. Put a top keeper between the sticks, and the Wolves defence might be good enough.

Wolves need to shift Sa and Johnstone before they can bring in a new keeper.

Get £5 million for the above and then invest £10 million in the Derby keeper.

So easy on paper.

For Wolves, it's almost impossible.

20 Aug 2026 17:28:15
Three Strands, not with Toti captain, and worse, playing garbage comes to mind. Get rid, then Wolves have a chance.

4

20 Aug 2026 15:06:12
So Trips and Moquera have same injuries. Does something feel either a. A bit suspicious or b. A bit cursed. Either way we are in trouble. Hopefully one of Santi or Kreti play till we can get some1 in. Toti is a liability. But now it seems a nailed on 1st team player for some reason.

2

20 Aug 2026 17:00:15
A very good point, but with just one slight problem. Trippier has injured his knee and Mosquera has injured his ankle. Other than that, it's the same injury.

3

20 Aug 2026 19:13:28
Looks like Jackson for Trippier.
Djiga or Santi for Mosquera.

Sa.
Jackson, Santi, Toti Bueno.
Krecki.
Andre James.
Munetsi, Mane.
Raul.

20 Aug 2026 20:43:09
How can Rodrigo not get in that team! FWAW.

20 Aug 2026 11:02:42
I didn't want to say anything when Wolves signed Trippier, but he is injury prone. He's now out for 4-6 weeks at best. Same for Mosquera. Both could be out for two months.

Wolves are now for the foreseeable future going into games with Dan Bentley in goal, Jackson Tchatchoua at right back, and Nasser Djiga at right centre back.

It's likely Wolves are going to lose Hugo Bueno as too many rumours are coming in. That could leave Wolfe at left back. Of course, all Wolves fans know who is playing in the left centre back position. Just let that sink in. A team that's going to punch its way out of the Championship.

GK: Dan Bentley
RB: Jackson Tchatchoua
RCB: Nasser Djiga
LCB: Toti Gomes
LB: David Moller Wolfe

That defence couldn't stop a family of hedgehogs trying to push a bowling ball.

Jordan James is a great signing, but what's the point in another central midfielder when the Wolves defence isn't good enough for League One.

I'm convinced that Fosun, Matt Jackson, Nathan Shi, and everyone else at Wolves know nothing about football.

20 Aug 2026 12:08:24
We haven't had a decent defence for some years now, and as you suggest in your final paragraph, AWDCP, I'm starting to believe Wolves recruitment issues run deeper than Fosun's transfer policies.
Is the new recruit injury curse actually a curse, or is it something else?

5

20 Aug 2026 13:19:30
Trippier has played over 600 career games! How can that be injury prone? FWAW.

20 Aug 2026 10:53:49
Latest on liquidator. Utter bs. If they don't play the tune.

You can still chant. They can sort stuff out like this but not the important things like state of the ground. - Unbelievable.

Does it take somebody being seriously hurt for action to be taken?

5

20 Aug 2026 11:43:37
Wolves were never going to bring the liquidator back in. I couldn't care less about screaming "F*** off, West Brom" at every home game, especially if Wolves lose to West Brom in September. I'm more interested in seeing an excellent team fighting for promotion.

Fosun were chatting pure s*** at the Fans' Forum. Nathan is just as naive and deceitful as Jeff. So long as Fosun own Wolves, Wolves aren't going anywhere.

Will some people ever be happy? Last week it was the midfield, this week it's the defence. Don't think you will be happy; if new owners came in, it would still be the same old moans and groans when things started to go wrong.

Don't think you're happy unless you're moaning about something. If Fosun do sell, whoever comes in will soon get the same treatment; nothing will be right. For God's sake, give it a rest.

6

20 Aug 2026 13:58:54
Depends on what you perceive as moaning.
I find most posts constructive.

Keep all the defenders we currently have and that's good champ level. Lose them and we're in a Wolf mess.

10

20 Aug 2026 15:00:15
B Hill, I for one would be highly delighted to see new owners. We've only ever had two worse. The only good thing was they were both here at the same time, and very nearly finished us altogether. Fosun aren't much better than the Bhatti Brothers.

The money they've wasted would easily have seen Molineux redeveloped, and comfortably financed a PL club. They had the future in their hands; it was all there, and they blew it.

8

20 Aug 2026 15:31:31
Well Ron Moore, if you've been a fan that long, you must remember that it was Doug Elliss who called in the receivers and nearly put Wolves out of business after the disaster of the Bhatti Bros. We were just saved by the skin of our teeth.

Fosun may not be the best, but at least they gave us some hope in the early days. Maybe they will again. Who knows? Not me, not you, or anyone else, but Fosun themselves. Perhaps even you could possibly see that and give a little credit?

2

20 Aug 2026 15:57:46
Doug Ellis took over in 1982, replacing Harry Marshall. He was basically appointed by the banks; the club owed £1.85 million as a result of building the new Molineux Street Stand. Ellis asked Lloyds to appoint an administrator as a result of the deal that followed the Bhatti Brothers taking control of the club.

B'hills, I admire your loyalty, but sometimes you need to get a sense of perspective and reality, and you are lacking both. No one on this site is moaning; they are merely stressing their feelings towards negative decisions and actions, or indeed a lack of both, from the hierarchy.

3

20 Aug 2026 17:19:33
The B Hill Wolf reply is as expected.

1

20 Aug 2026 17:49:59
I did not say I was entirely happy with Fosun; I was just pointing out that if new owners come in and things don't go right, it will all start again: no money for players, no money for ground improvements. They will be selling all the best players; just look at what Newcastle and Villa have had to do this season to comply with rules, and they have richer owners than us.

Tell me, who would come in to buy clubs with all the restrictions put on them now?
