Lage has been sacked his last game is the chelsea game

Radiohead

1.) 02 Oct 2022 22:29:02
Are you sure he'll be in the dugout against Chelsea? Have you got different info than everyone else?

2.) 02 Oct 2022 23:21:29
He's gone today no more matches for him.

3.) 03 Oct 2022 06:22:40
So a sacked a manger will take charge of team, even though he’s now unemployed? The Tinkerman will be popping up next with unique view of the world too.

19 Sep 2022 21:17:56
Lage has been sacked new manager will be announced in next two weeks

Radiohead

1.) 20 Sep 2022 08:04:05
Looks like Lopetequi days as a Valencia coach is coming to an end. Mendes running the show so.

2.) 20 Sep 2022 08:08:15
Sevilla not Valencia. Early in the morning ?

3.) 20 Sep 2022 11:09:40
Ed.what are these posts?
Has Bruno been sacked?
Can't see it anywhere!
You need to stop these nonsense posts if he's not.
Or at least delete them, correct, or earn or ban such posters

{Ed001's Note - do you understand what a rumour is? I think you may well be on the wrong site.}

4.) 20 Sep 2022 11:45:16
Of course I do
And if course I'm not on the wrong site
But surely it's wrong for anyone to to list as a fact without saying a rumour.
We are all fans and mostly fair and reasonable but that just seems bad practice.in mho

{Ed001's Note - if you are not capable of deciding for yourself whether it is a fact on a rumour page, then I fear the internet is not for you. I have lost count of the number of times I have read the word fact to describe something that is utter nonsense. You only have to read any 'news' site these days to see lies masquerading as fact.}

5.) 20 Sep 2022 14:38:08
Radiohead he hasn't been sacked, talks did happen about results so I do think he may be one more loss away from getting the boot.

6.) 24 Sep 2022 22:02:41
Well said ed ???

18 Jun 2022 13:02:28
Relegation battle this year bruno probably be sacked by xmas some random will come in and the down-whirl spiral will begin call me mr negative etc. i'm a realist and not blinded by love for the club the team needs upgrading we need at least 5 new and ready players thats before outgoings can anyone on here honestly say that will happen

Radiohead

1.) 18 Jun 2022 13:47:21
Your not a realist Radiohead, you're just guessing, like everyone else, but it's you're right to believe what you like.
None of us know for sure what is going on but if the media is on the right track we may yet see a double midfield capture of Palhinha and Nunez. Plus if Barcelona (his dream move) can't fund a move for Neves I can see him staying at Wolves rather than go somewhere like Man U or Arsenal.
In fact, I read today that Wolves are discussing a new long term contract with him, should that be the case.
We have a 50% chance of being disappointed but equally a 50% chance of being delighted.
But, as none of us know anything, in reality, it's probably best just to wait and see.

2.) 18 Jun 2022 14:23:09
I can't say that but I can not see fosun putting our club in premier league danger.
It doesn't make sense.
Yes new signings crucial 2 or 3 will come in I believe.
I acknowledge there may be part of me blinded by love for the club but if there is it's not the majority of me.

3.) 18 Jun 2022 14:47:18
Agree Phil. Some perspective - since Wolves got promoted the following clubs have been promoted at least once. Cardiff City, Fulham, Norwich City, Sheffield United, Aston Villa, Leeds United West Bromwich Albion, Watford and Brentford.

Out of those other clubs only 3 haven't relegated since getting promoted. Brenford - going into their second season, Villa - courtesy of a goal line technology failure, Leeds - with a little help from their Kevin Friend.

Next season may not be as good as last season, it may even be better. It's the 18th June. Players will come in, players will leave, existing players will get better.

It's fine to want more, but the league positions show the club to be in the best era it's been in for decades. Our players are being linked with huge European clubs and not leaving on frees to join teams in League One and the situation is a quite a bit different now to when Moxey was saying it would cost millions to replace Sako and we signed Jed Wallace as one for the future.

4.) 18 Jun 2022 14:51:43
Sorry sent to early to continue that would be £25000000 wasted money plus the wages you are playing the players that have not left yet. It comes to a lot of waste money from a business point it pays to wait.

5.) 18 Jun 2022 15:01:09
Phil I don't think you or anyone else who invests some of their emotional energy into the club should be described as being 'blinded by love'.
It's perfectly normal for fans to have a 'glass half full' approach to the club they support. Personally, I may have a couple of issues with the club, but why some fans can be so consistently negative or dissatisfied to keep predicting relegation is a mystery to me.
As you said Fosun have too much invested in the club to allow that to happen.

6.) 18 Jun 2022 15:04:07
I remember someone saying last year we'd be in a relegation battle, that prediction turned out well for them.
Even if we lose Neves we have enough to survive won't be top 10 be more like 15th.
Before running down the streets carrying pickards with "Relegation" on them let's wait, the transfer market has only just opened and most players were away on international duty and will be on holiday now.
I do think if no new signings are made though this window things will get very uncomfortable for Fosun.
But I don't think Fosun will risk us getting relegated as it'd be a massive blow to the brand they're building so I do believe we will see some signings this window.

7.) 18 Jun 2022 15:05:06
Sorry not very good at this computer stuff the first bit should have said if we had signed 5 players on the day the transfer window opened and paid each player £100000 a week

8.) 18 Jun 2022 15:07:24
I just have a really big doubt and bad gut feeling about this transfer window the last few windows habe been full of excuses and let downs and miss opportunities in order to buy we meed to sell apparently no don't thing many of our fringe players will be sold for much of a profit there's a few thinking well get this much for certain player ie cutrone ect no one will pay the money we won't and tbh if we did sell a few fringe players we myt get 15 million selling a few at most so if neves doesn't get sold I doubt the team will be improved and regaurds to neves not going to united or arsenal if he's offerd 200000 grand a week he will go a player can have love for a team or say they want trophies but sadly it all comes down to money

9.) 18 Jun 2022 15:12:04
In my opinion we need 5 players because our goal threat is a joke hwang is awrful jimenez isn't the same silva by the time he comes good his contract will be up n will probably go on a free ? we need new improved attacking threat possibly 2 attacking options a center back and a mobile center mid atleast

10.) 18 Jun 2022 16:03:55
Best Post by Alex wolf.
The clubs in completely different hands both the running of the club and the football side since the 1950's and 1960's.
Realistic plans for the long term future of the club both closing the gap with revenue streams and football side by buying young professionals dedicated to the game.
I think Palhinha should be signed for the money quoted it's too good a deal to turn down.
If Neves goes Palhinha and Nunes would take the club another level.
Still loads of options with Neves deal if he goes to Barca.

11.) 18 Jun 2022 16:09:19
Radiohead, Christian Eriksen has just turned Man Utd down because he wants to stay in London, so it's not always just about the money.
Let's imagine Wolves get the players we're being linked with, wouldn't that make us serious trophy/Euro contenders?
Neves could find this more attractive than moving plus he would probably become our highest earner following contract re-negotiations.
Who knows? Time will tell.

12.) 18 Jun 2022 16:34:49
Nice to read longmynd being honest I struggle with criticism for just being a normal bloke who is happy to share passion for wolves.
I too like any fan want signings asap and it does irritate me at times with the media putting out constant rumours.

I have posted my biggest frustration is the footy is in close season and when we do start signings which will be class and a relief I will be itching like mad for the season to start even more to see our new players in action.

I find the nerves the thrill of matchday always very exciting and I can not wait for 6-8-22.

Radio whang could play like how he was bought to.
Jiminez could get back to the way he was before his head injury or Jimenez sold and replaced.
We have hopefully if circumstances don't change a fully fit Neto.
Podence with a break a more than likely chance of not being out with niggling injuries.
Jonny refreshed and fully fit.
There is lots that can happen in the following weeks.
Silva imo has to start showing more promise.

01 Sep 2021 11:14:25
Manager and players expressed we needed depth yet we loan one in loans one out I think we have a smaller squad to when Nuno was here 🙈 plus Jimenez has been out for 13 months he might not be the same player I think they have got it totally wrong this transfer market surely they can't expect a top ten finish this year?

Radiohead

1.) 01 Sep 2021 13:32:46
After that fiasco I reckon they have no right to expect a finish above top 20. All I can say is that Lage (or whoever) must really rate Cundle and Jordao ( although is he even fit? ) because it will only take one injury to the midfield senior players for these youngsters to become extremely busy. I cannot understand the MGW loan as he had the potential to gain more experience on the job at the Mol than in stainless steel country languishing at the bottom of the Championship. Bizarre.

2.) 01 Sep 2021 16:53:02
Don't think Lage had anything to do with it, Mike, as he was previously quoted as saying that he needed three or four quality additions. The Kiefer Moore enquiry smacked of the not so good Ray Hankin acquisition all those years ago.

3.) 01 Sep 2021 17:01:55
Not seen Jordao play, has anyone?
He is 22 and cost £8 mil. He is certainly old enough, anyone know if he's is fit?

4.) 01 Sep 2021 20:27:37
Jordao is injured should be back October time.
Seems to have an injury all the time.

5.) 01 Sep 2021 20:50:28
Typical!
Tks Madman.

6.) 01 Sep 2021 22:22:36
Jordao is a good little player, similar to Podence but more suited to a central/ attacking midfield role. He has had a lot of injuries but was more highly rated at Lazio than Pedro was when they were there together. Seen him play and he has good vision and passing aswell as being good on the ball.

7.) 02 Sep 2021 10:15:27
Since you have an ear to the inner sanctum at Lazio, Wolfflea, do they rate Luca Romero higher than Marco Bertini? Just wondering which one to go for in January. Maybe both.

8.) 03 Sep 2021 05:20:33
What I am struggling to understand is we have a manager with a reputation for developing young players yet all we seem to be doing is sending them all out on loan. Some, such as Gibbs-White and Marques, need to be playing in the PL, not heading out on loan again. The way we are loaning out players does bring into question whether Fosun are being honest about developing players for Wolves rather than other teams and is their commitment to Wolves actually there? Just look at Pedro Goncalves a couple of years ago - apparently no good for Wolves and released yet now a full international. I will never understand the thinking on that one. Even in the Under 23s he looked something special.

9.) 03 Sep 2021 13:02:49
Can't comment on Goncalves, Tubigon, but isn't Marques only 18? Also, he's behind many others for a central defender berth so surely it makes sense to loan him out to gain first team experience. MGW is a stranger one. Few would think him good enough to be a starter but it would only take a couple of injuries or suspensions to push him right up the pecking order. A chance has therefore been taken in letting him go although he clearly needs game time to develop.

10.) 03 Sep 2021 19:42:59
Tubigon, football if full of wonderful mistakes that wouldn't have happened with hindsight - De Bruyne being rejected by Chelsea, Harry Kane by Arsenal, Ruud Gullit by Arsenal and Ipswich, Roy Keane by Villa and Sterling at QPR. The list goes on and on, but sometimes we as a club benefit from other clubs mistakes, think Bully, Robbie Keane and Lescott.

11.) 07 Sep 2021 18:47:21
Best and most famous one Jas, the story goes that Diego Maradona tried out for Sheff Utd as a youngster and was told he was to small for football! Classic five live story! 🤣👍.

12.) 25 Sep 2021 13:36:04
Didnt Jordao score on his debut for us?

31 Jan 2021 06:51:54
We are in a relegation battle n hearing saiss on his way to Liverpool is a mistake we need him for this battle I would rather him to moutiniho any day loads will disagree but saiss adds grit goals n passion people say adama hasn't score in how many games n quick to run him down but when he's on bench I now most wolves want him on I don't get it moutiniho when was his last assist or goal?

Please tell me if I'm wrong on this also our championship side who got promoted would beat our side what we got now not because of talent but because of momentum were taking that desire I thought I'd never say this but Nuno has been felt with bad look yes but is he capable for this fight we have on our hands.

Radiohead

1.) 31 Jan 2021 08:50:15
Nuno has to go, this run is terrible and he has no idea what to do. We need new ideas, we have no spark.
It is no joy now watching the team, Nuno has had enough time to improve results but its just not happening. Goals are not coming we need new ideas quickly.

2.) 31 Jan 2021 09:22:42
Our defence is under the microscope due to our lack of goals at the other end and our style which relies on us keeping what we start with. Unfortunately our previous capacity to keep clean sheets is no longer the case. There are reasons for this but there are also solutions.
If we keep Saiss, and it appears to be a big if, as his contract is up at end of this season and the present rumours of a January exit, then we need him to be the pivot of our defence. He can play in a back four, which unfortunately I don’t believe Coady can, and he is enough of a player to be the free man in a back three. He is quicker than Coady, better in the air and better at tackling. Add the goal threat he poses, then I think he is a better option than the captain.
Doesn’t give me any pleasure to say this but teams identify weak points in the opposition and getting their striker up against Coady is something teams are looking to do. We are dropping too deep and having to make tackles in our box, which is not something we are particularly good at doing cleanly: hence the number of penalties conceded.
The solution to our defensive frailties is in house, I believe, especially with imminent return of Jonny but centre midfield requires additions or a change of role for present players.
Watching other teams, they all appear to have centre midfielders capable of running forward with the ball, to break the lines. (Smith-Rowe at Arsenal has added that dimension and turned around their season) Neither Neves or Moutinho can do this, lack required speed and athleticism. Could Dendonker do other than the ten yard negative passes, he must be instructed to play. He has the speed and athleticism but not sure if he has the skill required to drop a shoulder and create the gap to exploit. Otasowie looks a prospect, with the attributes to play that role, but understandably our present position has the manager choosing experience over youthful potential. Is there a signing in the offing to provide this type of player?

{Ed001's Note - Coady was player of the year for the Championship in midfield the season before you signed him from Huddersfield, could he be the answer in there?}

3.) 31 Jan 2021 10:29:57
Our midfield has not been playing well all season. They seem frightened to go forward to have go at goal. We are too slow going forward. Neto is too fast for the midfield he has no one up front with him. Midfield have lost confidence. Neto tactics are confusing we are not creating many chances. Coady seems to have lost confidence, he needs a rest.

4.) 31 Jan 2021 13:42:40
Worth a punt I'd say melo7.

5.) 31 Jan 2021 16:07:47
The issue is our midfield it's just none existent, Tuesday I would go for Owen and Vinthia in midfield give the likes of Dendonker, Mouthino and Neves something to think about show they are not invicible but sadly Nuno will stick to plasying his mates.

6.) 31 Jan 2021 16:13:06
Melo7 you and the rest are bell ends. Where was you when nuno took us up. You think we have a god given right to be top 6 or 4 club. Look at arteta and how he has turned arsenal around. Yes we haven't won for a while, most teams will have a run like us. And who would u have the big fat Spanish waiter. Get behind nuno and support the bloody team.

7.) 31 Jan 2021 16:55:18
You'll find we've been well behind Nuno and the team all season Demon, no need for your abusive comment.

8.) 31 Jan 2021 17:27:48
Surprised that got passed the eds.

9.) 31 Jan 2021 18:15:57
Same here Matt mate considering some stuff I posted that was way tamer never did.

{Ed001's Note - that was my fault - I meant to hold that for Ed033 to delete his account and must have knocked the wrong button! Apologies, the bell end is clearly me for the error as that is far too nice a word for the knobber there. Sorry about that, it is editing on my phone I can't see all the edit page at once and have to scroll it across, which sometimes leads to me accidentally checking one of the check boxes.}

10.) 31 Jan 2021 18:56:37
No worries Ed thanks for commenting.

{Ed001's Note - I am just sorry I didn't notice sooner.}

11.) 31 Jan 2021 19:19:04
Easy to make mistakes Ed mate you should see the ones I make, I once sent of the wrong contract to the wrong company lol.
You EDS do an amazing job here :)

{Ed001's Note - ouch that could have been a major issue, I hope you sorted that one out ok?

I can't take the credit, just 99% of it ;-)

12.) 31 Jan 2021 19:57:26
Yeah thankfully company laughed about it said it woke up their chairman, he was like "we are a car company why are we getting a contract for hops? " lol, funny thing is that same month I got employer of the month for securing a multi million pound contract too.
Shame those days are long gone now thanks to my mental health issues.

{Ed001's Note - sorry to hear that mate. I hope you are doing ok with the lockdown?}

13.) 31 Jan 2021 20:10:32
Yes Ed mate cheers I think you guys sometimes get the brunt of my frustrations though lol, luckily I have a huge backlog of games to get through which is keeping me busy, hope you're doing ok too.

{Ed001's Note - that's fine mate, I don't take anything to heart. Sometimes we just need to get stuff off our chest. What I tend to do if someone is abusive or annoying me or something is type my reply (which is usually full of expletives), then get up, walk round the room, delete it and start again. And I do that over and over until I can eventually reply in a calm manner. Or at least I try to do that, it is not always possible. So don't worry. We get a lot worse sent to us than anything you have ever sent in.}

14.) 01 Feb 2021 00:16:49
Rated - I am always happy to read your posts and am delighted if this site in some small way can help with whatever problems you may have. As I am sure you are aware they are far more common than most people imagine. Keep your chin up.
Sorry the team aren't doing their bit to cheer you up but in reality we all know its hardly the most important thing out there.

Everyone getting carried away with this transfer window honestly cuhna isn't a no 9 he isn't prolific scorer lemina wasn't amazing when he was last in premier league adds little to the squad tbh sarabia couldn't do it at psg loaned to sporting which most average players can do well in that league n let's not forget we signing dawson, totti, kilman and collins are better strange signing we still haven't addressed the lack of goals .ow and guedes gone to Benfica another waste of money seems like we sign players for other teams to benefit ie silva 35 million wasted plus 27 if that was invested properly.

Radiohead

1.) 20 Jan 2023 16:55:33
Someone should have told this to Lope, he's going to feel awful silly when he learns this! ?

2.) 20 Jan 2023 16:56:53
???

3.) 20 Jan 2023 17:15:20
Uhm, let's just take a step back and see who Sarabia might have been competing with at PSG. Messi (heard he's not bad and did OK at the recent world cup),Mbappe (probably quite decent as he's widely recognised as the world's best player),Neymar (little bit of an attitude but does manage to score a fair few at PSG and is Brazil's top player).Shame on you Sarabia that you didn't get more game time when competing with that lousy bunch.
The Portuguese league isn't the best,I agree, Radiohhead but they still have some quality teams.Maybe then you'd like to check out Sarabia's record at Seville. Pretty exceptional, I'd say (12 league goals and 13 assists in 18/19) and that's in a top league. Lopetegui certainly wanted him, he wanted to come (important given the attitude of some recent acquisitions) and is still a regular Spanish international. Let's give him a chance, I say.

4.) 20 Jan 2023 20:21:24
Good Post Old Wulf. For under £5m he looks a damn site better bet than Fabio, Guedes or Hwang have turned out to be.
Without wanting to reignite the endless Traore debate Barcelona had a few decent players when Traore went there as well and even signed Aubameyang in addition after a few weeks of his arrival!
Radio, Lamina and Dawson are probably no more than bench options - which we are despreately short of - although Dawson should also have other benefits - leadership and role model for younger defs etc.
Finally Cunha might not be an out and out striker - although others on here have pointed out that in his previous life he has played in a cf role - but perhaps as discussed on other threads the club realise we can't get a top quality out and out striker and are looking to bring in a group of players that together with our current options will provide the goals we all know we desperately need. Alternatively we might still be out there trying to bring in a striker?
I hope you are aware that I have not been a massive fan of our previous transfer dealings - Guedes or Fabio anybody! - but it seems harsh at this stage to be critical of JL and the clubs actions over the past few weeks?

5.) 20 Jan 2023 22:56:21
Radiohead, it seems to me your analysis relies on the proposition that either Lope doesn’t know what he is doing or that he is deliberately recruiting sub standard players. In both cases an unlikely scenario.

6.) 20 Jan 2023 23:59:45
Would and Tfiog - you sure you're not twins or married?
I agree with the very first part of Radiohead. Cunha is not a or the striker we need. He's primarily a winger / assists.
I'm very pleased we have the quality and experience of Sarabia and would hope and expect he assists and scored some - as the attacking midfielder he is
But neither are the box striker finisher we desperately need

7.) 21 Jan 2023 01:18:37
Rollo and Radio, what I love is your insistence that you know better than Lope! Whatever peeps think,Lope has come into the role with us in the relegation zone and STILL somehow talked Fosun into spending £43m on Cunha as A STRIKER to save the day! He specifically choose him (if you don't believe me read Matt Hobbs piece in the e and s where both parties identified Cunha)! But still I'm sure you guys both know better than him, what does Lope know it's not like he's worked with the biggest and best club/national teams IN THE WORLD! It really is just priceless ?

8.) 21 Jan 2023 07:52:55
I asked you to name some realistic options in an earlier post, Rollo, but I don't think you've named anyone. Here's your opportunity. As for Cunha, he has all the attributes of a top central striker, unlike our friend in Belgium, and we'll see what Lopetegui can mould him into. Costa won't be a bad tutor either.

9.) 21 Jan 2023 08:27:35
I certainly did. In reply to your other stream.
Perhaps your twin Tfig saw it

10.) 21 Jan 2023 09:06:38
Dawson is obviously not for the long term but he brings a wealth of experience and at this moment in time that is precisely what is needed. Also, at the moment, he's a better player than Collins.

11.) 21 Jan 2023 09:42:08
Apologies Rollo, your response was so far down I didn't see it.
As for your names:
Brereton Diaz: he's had a lot of hype so I've watched him a fair bit. Nowhere near good enough in my view.
Victor Gyokores: not seen him much; will hopefully get the opportunity today on Sky.
As for Broja, hasn't he been out injured for the last couple of months? One for the future then!

12.) 21 Jan 2023 10:18:15
Welsh lad at Bournemouth, Rollo? Do you mean Kieffer Moore? I recall how the club were lambasted from pillar to post by their last minute attempts to sign him in 2021. Pillar or post are actually a couple of ways of describing his mobility. When did you last see a statuesque striker do well on the top league? Come back John Toshak. If only the Doog were to be reborn. Those were the days, Dougan,Richards, Wagstaffe.

13.) 21 Jan 2023 12:18:45
Spot on Old Wulf. Would add Hibbit, Munroe and Parkin.and yes, those were the days.

3.) 24 Oct 2022 20:27:46
Doesn’t look like Villa struggled to find their man and get him. Pity we couldn’t have acted so quickly.

4.) 24 Oct 2022 21:28:16
Heard gerrard dropped his cv in earlier ??

5.) 24 Oct 2022 22:31:19

6.) 24 Oct 2022 22:37:31

7.) 25 Oct 2022 09:43:53
Whack-not sure I'd laugh if I was you fella, your club are the ones that let him spaff loads of money on his old croney mates like Coutinho?! Haha, scratch that, your right it did make me laugh cheers ?

8.) 25 Oct 2022 13:47:49
Yes shame on them for backing their manager? tbh I’ve seen 17 million spent on worse players but our owners seem to have endless cash which they don’t mind spending, I’m not a fan of couthinho I’m hoping he’s set for a spell on the sideline then out the door.

You can't blame Sellars Radiohead, he's got a vital role in the clubs transfer strategy, the clue's in the name.

We played some outstanding football today and were the better side especially first half and although we missed chances we had no luck . Jimenez needs a few more games to get back on track but if we keep playing like we have this season we’ll be ok. Don’t know about this Korean guy we signed 3 goals in 29 games but you never know.

You say a good transfer window really tho is it really come on think about it we have got lemina tbh never set the prem a light last time he was in prem ? cuhna isn't going to solve our goal problem out isn't a number 9 and has never been a prolific goal scorer sarabia looks to lightwieght for the prem and I now people will say look at podence but he's got muscle on him sarabia did decent at sporting but that league and the prem is a big jump and who else we got the saviour dawson ?? is he better than totti kilman collins I don't think so our recruitment is shocking rotten to the core
