Hey guys, I see my name mentioned below as being a villa troll, have to say I don't believe I've ever being what I'd call a troll on this page, and certainly never being abusive, I see a villa poster on here and it took me all of 5 seconds to figure out who it is and the Ed is correct he could do to grow up but my thinking is that he's about 15yrs old so what would one expect.
In relation to some comments I've read through, maginn being a main topic, tbh I didn't see him doing anything that Dawson wasn't doing, ref looked sick of both of them and both on yellow cards so both could of easily being sent off.
Yes luiz pushed Hwang in what looked like the neck area but what probably went in his favour was that it was Hwang's 3rd time rolling around on the ground pretending to be injured, and the ref also has to think why did luiz push him? Was something said? when the ref was having none of it he once again miraculously got up and seemed totally unscathed, note to Hwang in future if you want get a player sent off at least stay on the ground until the VAR check is complete and he might have more luck.
Then there is the 2 penalty incidents, I know you guys see it from your point of view and we see it from ours but at no point did our defender put his hand on Neto nor did he trip him, he is running right beside him and as the commentator described it at the time "he just leaned into him and done enough to put him under pressure" exactly the same as the incident with Bailey which the ref rightly waved away, the Watkins incident completely different your defender clear as day with an outstretched arm pushing him in the back while Watkins has 1 foot on the ground and is swinging his other foot to kick the ball, that in my book is a clear penalty, you cannot push a player in the back, anywhere else on the pitch and it's a free kick.
The sending off was just an accumulation of frees in the same area, Semedo done the exact same thing just minutes beforehand and he was also already on a booking and he could easily have went instead.
All in all it was a better point for wolves than it was villa even though it was on your patch, according to the stats Villa had more possession, way more shots, more shots on target, more clear cut chances, more passes, 10 corners to your 2, less cards. a scrappy game very stop start no real flow but hey we were busy playing in Europe midweek so I can forgive the tired performance, the table don't lie, twice your points and only 4pts off 1st place, it's looking like another good season for the mighty villa pride of the midlands and champions of Europe???

Well put whackattack, almost an unbiased view. We both see things from our own stand points of course. We can go on about injustices at man utd, at luton. How we could have taken something v liverpool. Youve got a right to moan about Docs hand, we have regarding netos tumble in the box. We can both come up with excuses of mid week games or new manager bedding in, it matters not as long as we keep things in the banter framework. We are rivals, yes, but a mutual respect for each other should abide. So without wishing to annoy, WOLVES AY WE. See you in the return match. P, S, when did you last beat us?

clearly seeing it through the eyes of a villa fan McGinn Luiz and Kamara all doing the same thing as Lemina constantly through out the game but only Lemina punished as per usual.as per the penalty decision Watkins threw himself forward after he scuffed his shot no penalty and with Neto there was contact shoulder to shoulder and thigh to thigh no penalty. luiz raised his hands and made contact with Hwangs neck regardless of what was said and the reaction of Hwang (SEE RODRI'S RED CARD FOR MAN CITY) therefore it is a red card the officials have been shocking all over this season and as somebody who coaches youth football there is a better understanding of the rules and game by both the referees and under 9, s players at there level. what's good for one is good for the other a saying which barely applies to the main professional leagues.Good luck to Villa I pretty much doubt they will get close to the big boys it won't be allowed to happen FFP and the governing bodys will see to that.

Whackattack, you're a genuine Villa fan and definitely not a troll. I take your viewpoints on board, but let me ask you a couple of questions:
How many apologies did Villa get from Howard Webb last season?
How many apologies did Villa get this season?
Any at all? My point is that things do not level out over a full season, as there appears to be bias against certain clubs.
You guys did brilliantly in Europe and putting six goals away against Brighton. Be honest, like Man City, you thought you would walk away from Molineux with three points, didn't you?

Thanks for the somewhat Villa centric view on the game but for all of Villas huff and puff you still didn't win it. Possession stats mean nothing if you can't put the ball in the net more times than the opposition.

Whack, those comments are mostly off-base.
Definitely a PK on the Neto play. But I will agree also a PK on the Doc push too, except your player was able to actually shoot, whereas ours was knocked down before the chance.
Luiz hands around Hwang neck is technically a red card. Even if only a split second. See previous game MC v NF (Rodri and MGW).
Dawson and McGinn. Dawson yellow card was awful. He accidentally stepped on Watkins foot. There was not even any action with the ball around at the time. Clearly unintentional and not a YC. McGinn should have been YC for the multiple take-down of Dawson on corners. Then his other YC would have been a sending off like Lemina.
Regarding the comments on the game stats. Villa had more possession mainly because last 10+ minutes we were down a man. More corner, yeah ok, but most were due to off-target shots from outside the box that deflected off our defenders. They weren't all from great attacks and we had to poke the ball out. Back to the shots stat is irrelevant since as i said most Villa shots were off-target, usually high over and outside of box and no trouble at all. You need to learn that just because you have better stats doesn't mean you were the better team. It can mean you didn't have the quality to make them count.
We were in Europe a few years ago too. I think Villa was in Championship then. You can't whine about being in the extra competition now that your legs are tired.

Longmyndwolf, as much as I enjoyed your poetry I do have to argue about being the happier fans, we were above relegation by goal difference only when Emery came in and now we look like a solid 8th place finish with some sort of European spot still a possibility however unlikely, but as a fan base from those I know we are very happy with our season, we spent the majority of it thinking about Europe instead of relegation and I hear nothing but positive vibes coming out of villa park regarding the future of the club. I am glad you lot are safe but I do begrudge you the 3 points from yesterday ? good luck in the rest of your games and as we say in B6 "mind the gap" ?

Glad you enjoyed it Whackattack and pleased that you feel happy with your season. You should really, especially after having to wait so long to get into the top half of the table, let alone getting within reach of Europe.? It still might happen, who knows? Also, don't worry about 'the gap' we'll look after it, it'll be there waiting for you next season.?
Joking and wind ups aside I think both clubs have recovered well and can move forward with positivity for next season, hopefully with the Midlands being well represented at the top table, so to speak. It will be down to Wolves and the Villa because I can't see the Baggies or the Blues contributing much.

I have to admit I missed this so I can’t comment, I’m sure if it was as bad as you make out that it would of being already discussed on here and I don’t remember reading it anywhere in any match reports, was your player injured and substituted after such a disgraceful tackle? Just trying to gauge the seriousness of it, I have a vague recollection of a cash foul but nothing that made me think he might get sent off, I will admit I did think there was a chance luiz might get the red until I seen the replay and the Tom daly impersonation, that’s the difference between football and rugby, players are meant to go for the ball with their head or feet, not supposed to use their arms but Doherty missed the memo I think.
