As others have said i thought Hugo had his best game for a long time, Krejci also good and Lopez.
Shame James injured as I would have liked to see him have a few games back to back.
Cardiff had too many chances for us to be comfortable, our MF was too open, whether this was due to the changes when James went off, not sure, maybe.
Is Boubacar Traore back fit now, it would be interesting i think to see Andre, Traore and James together for the more difficult games. Although we havent really seen that much of James and Andre together yet.
Surely CP is safe in his job now for a while, we have to sign a CF at least in Jan, i hope.

Very happy with the 3 points and 3 goals.
A bit of a return to how we started the season, good going forward but not convincing at the back.
Hope James injury not too bad and pleased to see R. Gomes back.
Still have to say Munetsi doesn't seem to contribute much other than running around lots.
Difficult to knock a 3-0 win and on to the next, if we do start playing well at both ends we could just get into the top 2, a CF would surely help with this š¤.
31 Oct 2026 17:58:23
Banksy51 tottaly agree with the 3 points played really well first half. Then second half all over the place Munetsi does nothing but give free kicks away. But 3rd in the league cant complain to much but def need a striker in Jan.
31 Oct 2026 09:31:26
I think CP doing a decent job not easy with no striker hopefully santa brings us one for xmas.
31 Oct 2026 10:15:15
Santa's present giving season ends before the January transfer opens! But I would end the loan deal for young Neave if we can to free up squad space and splash out on good experienced number 9. If we're still top 4 or thereabouts, this window will be very important to us.
31 Oct 2026 13:12:15
Do you think Ladislav will be with us at the end of the window?
31 Oct 2026 14:59:56
Well said, Simon. The team is really struggling at the minute. What could go wrong is going wrong. Hopefully things will change and Lady Luck will smile in Peixoto and Wolves.
31 Oct 2026 16:11:25
Well if the team are currently struggling and are sitting 3rd in the table (at time of writing), I can't wait until the team are enjoying the good times.
30 Oct 2026 02:54:07
Nothing in the Cesar rumours he is expected to remain at Wolves until at least the end of season.
30 Oct 2026 06:35:31
Maybe Rated.....maybe not.
30 Oct 2026 14:36:07
It's a results business mate although the board have confidence in him that can change in the blink of an eye.
30 Oct 2026 15:29:21
If the board do decide to get rid of him and we end up mid table, then the board have got exactly what they deserve. How can you even contemplate sacking a manager who is sitting 4th in the table, 2 points off an automatic promotion spot, without a out and out striker and not backed by the board.
30 Oct 2026 15:34:50
The board have no intention of sacking CP. Just silly rumours.
30 Oct 2026 17:29:20
Goodwhileitlasted mate my post confirms the rumours are rubbish.
30 Oct 2026 18:50:42
I know you are. I'm just emphasising that if the board were stupid enough to get rid of him, then they deserve everything they get.
30 Oct 2026 18:52:41
Just read that Sporting are considering Cesar to replace Rui Borges should they decide to make a change.
29 Oct 2026 01:02:45
Wolves are reportedly considering Cesar Peixoto's position. Early stages. Names listed are Eddie Howe and Sean Dyche.
Quite doubtful of this
Thoughts ?
29 Oct 2026 06:35:09
This really is becoming tiresome now.
We are 12 games into a 46 game season and sit 2 points off an automatic promotion spot.
Yes we've hardly set the world on fire but the table doesn't lie. We've lost to West Ham and Middlesbrough away who many are claiming to be the best 2 teams in the division.
If we were cut adrift then I could understand the clamour but when we are sitting 4th and plugging away, why change?
29 Oct 2026 10:17:56
Rubbish rumours. And as for Eddie Howe, he has bigger fish to fry! Even Sean Dyce would be in the running for a PL team in distress. No way are we sacking CP; in fact he is doing a good job with the resources at his disposal.
29 Oct 2026 11:40:20
Well they would be wise to always have contingency plans, but they probably haven't learnt that lesson as we always seem to make the mistake of not having someone in mind. That said no reason to fire the guy that I can see.
29 Oct 2026 15:21:25
Eddie Howe? If people/news outlets are going to conjure up names to replace Peixoto, at least make them remotely realistic.
Eddie Howe will only be joining Wolves if he's offered a 25-year contract on £400,000 per week, and the main stipulation in the contract is he's sacked after two hours and the entire contract is honoured.
He can spend the two hours having an omelette in the Performance Kitchen.
29 Oct 2026 17:54:16
An omelette in the performance kitchen

28 Oct 2026 17:05:46
People saying that if Wolves donāt go up this season itās curtains. Thatās a very unlikely scenario.
Tolu: £18 million
Other loan players: £7 million (maybe)
Jose Sa: £2 million
Tchatchoua: £4 million
Mosquera: £5 million
Djiga: £15 million
Krejci: £20 million
Hugo Bueno: £9 million
Andre: £16 million
Boubacar Traore: £5 million
Munetsi: £7 million
Doyle: £4 million
Mane: £18 million
Lopez: £29 million
Other players: £15 million
Total: £174 million
This is all guesswork, but failure to get promoted will bring a mass exodus of players. There are too many high earners and saleable assets. Also too much deadwood that should have been shifted a long time ago.
27/28 might see Fosun build a side of young talented players that have pace. Players that want to be at Wolves. Maybe itās the best thing that can happen to Wolves. Clear out the utter dross. Imagine seeing pace in a Wolves team. What a dream.
Whether Wolves get promoted or not, if Fosun are serious about keeping the club, there are probably already plans to clear out the vast majority of players at the club. Theyāve dropped a league and many of them still look s****.
28 Oct 2026 17:52:34
No don't worry there no plans to drop all the cheap dross we have dream on they are not serious about are club they just want to make moneyš„š„.
28 Oct 2026 18:23:20
Considering nobody came in for most of those last window what makes you think anyone will next one or next Summer?
28 Oct 2026 18:30:02
Where did it all go wrong.-Ā Ā Curtains is a strong word and not that defined.
Taking your note though I think you surely haveĀ to acknowledge that selling the entireĀ first team squad would lead to relegation.
Not in itself curtains,( if you mean the end of the club?),Ā but pretty serious nonetheless.
The idea that Wolves will/can discover a new squad full of players with the pace and skill sufficient to surviveĀ in the Championship from free transfers and the youth program - all of whom are willing to play for minimal wages etc - is indeed a dream.
It is disconnected to reality. It has never been done in the history of the game by any side so the chances of it happeningĀ this summer at Wolves is sufficiently unlikelyĀ as to be dismissed.Ā Ā
But financially you say Wolves can raise circa Ā£175m from selling the squad.Ā
Would that money be used to cover operating losses - some £130m or so last year - or to pay down the debt owing - over £300m last time it was reported?
Sadly it can't beĀ used for both.
With turnover falling sharply if promotion is not obtained it is possible, no probable, that financial pressures will require the wholesale fire sale of the squad as you suggest but what happens if, as seems highly likely, that the amounts raised - even if as high as £175m - are not enough and certainly not enough to provide for the medium term when losses will surely continue to be incurred if not increase?Curtains is a strong word but failure to achieve promotion this year will indeed surely have very serious ramifications for the club?
28 Oct 2026 21:20:13
Future you seem well versed into the financial situation at the club from what I'm lead to beleive
1) we were amongst the lowest payers in the prem wage wise
2) until last season every home game was a sell out
3) over the last 5 years there is a very healthy profit in transfer dealings
So how can we be some 300 million in debt something clearly doesn't add up.
29 Oct 2026 22:18:00
If Wolves dont get promoted thus season, the club could be forced into administration.
We have players on big contracts (some still out on loan) Players we cant shift without taking a huge hit on. Massive drop in revenue
The club is in a big mess thanks to Fosun.
28 Oct 2026 08:21:31
Tolu going to Ajax for 25mil decent deal for a player who don't want to be here.
28 Oct 2026 13:59:52
Have Ajax got that money to spend because what i've read they wont go over 18mill pounds. So is 25mill euros or pounds because Ajax spent alot of money in the summer window.
28 Oct 2026 14:54:46
Hasn't a price already been agreed for Tolu? Somewhere around £18 million.
As for Tolu's exploits in the Eredivisie, Tomasz Frankowski would have scored about 30 goals per season in that league. Tolu is also playing for his career.
He can do whatever he wants in that league, i'll always remember him as a lazy person with a stinking attitude.
26 Oct 2026 11:30:15
Stats don't have an opinion, so feel free to form your own.
1. Record Player Sales (Reported in 2026 Accounts) £117 million
2. Relegation Squad Sales (Summer 2026) Ā£36.5 million ā Ā£38.5 million
3. EFL Championship Parachute Payment (Year 1) Ā£49 million ā Ā£55 million
Circa £200 million incoming.
Ā£8 million outgoing on Rafiki, plus loan fees.
6 months and 2 transfer windows to prepare.
26 Oct 2026 19:36:05
My answer is not an opinion but fact. The accounts filed in 2026 are for the year to June 2025. June 2026 accounts will not be filed until next year. Yes, large sums have passed through the accounts, but what is your point? What does that prove? That we had tens of millions to spend on players but didn't? No.
In year to June 2025 the club made a loss of over £11mil. The balance sheet shows a deficit of nearly £186mil. As of June 2025 the accounts show that we were in trouble at that date, and supported by Fosun International Limited until at least June 2026.
27 Oct 2026 14:46:08
Please, Deep Throat, your comments don't suit the narrative of toxic negativity and unrealistic childish dreaming.
We got Steve Morgan out, now we need to get Fosun out. Hopefully Wolves will eventually end up in League Two with crooked owners who'll bankrupt the club.
According to many Wolves fans, the club, after getting rid of Jeff Shi less than 12 months ago - who was probably the worst CEO in PL history - should already have built a team of superstars capable of smashing the Championship, in preparation for smashing the Premier League, while releasing plans for a new 50,000 seater stadium, capable of bringing billions into the city of Wolverhampton.
According to these fans every football club other than Wolves has the best owners, the best training facilities, the best youth systems, and they're all building new stadiums ā and they're all playing in Europe.
Nathan Shi and Matt Jackson might well end up looking silly for saying that Wolves are going to punch their way out of the Championship, but on the other hand, whinging whining "always need something to moan aboutā Wolves fans might end up looking silly if Wolves actually do punch their way out of the Championship. The same fans might look even more stupid if Fosun and Wolves are keeping their powder dry, so if they do go up they'll be able to invest in the team without almost instantly falling foul of PSR.
Maybe Wolves have a plan get promoted and spend £30 million on Ruben Neves.
Maybe Nathan Shi has to be given a chance, instead of being vilified before he's had time to fix the horrific mess left by his predecessor.
Wolves fans are moaning about Wolves under Jeff Shi. Nathan Shi has to be given a chance. Of course, the decent Wolves fans now have no chance of knowing what's going on at the club because of the vile poisonous behaviour towards Fosun, Wolves, Matt Jackson, Nathan Shi and everyone else at the club.
28 Oct 2026 01:22:49
I find your distinction between the:
" whinging whining "always need something to moan aboutā Wolves fans and the decent fansā. Very simplistic. You make some valid points but no one is above criticism and fans have a right to question decisions and have a moan about them.
If you care then you're a true fan.
28 Oct 2026 01:44:31
Matt Jackson didn't do himself any favours by saying if we don't get the transfer window right he'll resign.
Guess what, the transfer window was a disaster and he never resigned so why should we trust him?
Fosun have no interest in the club anymore that's why they no longer invest they are milking it for what they can get.
28 Oct 2026 10:09:40
Rated, the club is loss-making and heavily in debt. How is Fosun milking it? In year 2023/24 a loss of £10.8mil was made, and no dividend was paid to Fosun or anyone. In year 2024/25 a loss of £11.8mil was made, and again no dividends paid. The accounts for 2025/26 (our final PL season) should be filed next March, and I can't see where finances can improve. The 2026/27 accounts will be even worse as turnover will be down as we are in the championship.
The truth is that unless Fosun can find a buyer, they will have to keep us on life support, financially speaking. This is quite common in football these days. Who is responsible in our case? A series of poor decisions made for many years, starting with the fall-out with Nuno. At the height of Nuno's reign we were poised to challenge for regular top six, in a similar way to Villa, Newcastle, Brighton etc but we fell away. And we all know who was responsible, Jeff Shi.
28 Oct 2026 11:18:21
I don't doubt for one second that Fosun wants this club back in the Prem. it was never going to a profit making acquisition.
What they have to gain from it is the publicity of owning a high profile football team and the club value if they want out.
Hopefully they are taking stock and learning from the mistakes. If I was Nathan i would be asking why we get through so many Managers and sign so many players who have not improved the team.
28 Oct 2026 11:34:45
Fosun need the club in the Premier League. Otherwise it's not worth enough. Look at how much the Baggies former owner lost after they got relegated and he sold up. Granted he did buy them when in the Premier League.
The mess of last season (and previous mistakes leading to it) was never getting sorted in the summer.
Personally I don't think Fosun have been as invested in Wolves since the decision was made to stay at Molineux. The lack of investment in all areas away from PSR is where their commitment should be questioned.
The rest such as on and off field recruitment isn't a commitment issue, it's an incompetence one. Rebuilding the team was never going to happen overnight, but unfortunately I still don't have much confidence in the people off the field tasked with doing so.
28 Oct 2026 11:37:02
Sammy, you're right about the indirect benefits of ownership. Fosun can and did benefit from the prestige of ownership of a PL club. Trouble is, Jeff in his wisdom said that the club would have to pay for itself and be self-supporting financially.
That was clearly impossible in our situation and indeed for many clubs. If we somehow go up this season Nathan will have to learn from past mistakes to keep us there and to improve financially. Hopefully we will get sold if promoted.
28 Oct 2026 12:47:00
If we don't get promoted it could be curtains for us that is the harsh reality.
28 Oct 2026 15:49:41
It's scary for relegated PL clubs. Companies House has today issued a compulsory striking-off notice for Burnley's parent company Velocity Capital UK. Reason being, they are two years behind with filing of accounts. If they don't comply and get struck off, all assets pass to the Crown. At least Fosun have filed accounts on time, however crap they may be! These Companies House rules have tightened up and apply to all registered companies, not just football clubs.
In my business, unbelievably, our trade association (the largest in the country) got struck off last month, and bank accounts frozen. Comply or die.
28 Oct 2026 17:43:18
Deep - you don't have to take dividends - which would have been illegal in any case - to take money out of a company.
Obviously only Wolves and Fosun - effectively the same thing - know what has happened but as you say Wolves have been heavily loss making and cash flow negative, leading to rapidly increasing debt, for years now.
The question is then why are Wolves performing so much worse than other clubs - I have compared them to many other clubs over the years on this site but for example Brentford, excluding player trading, have made £100's of millions more than Wolves over the past few years!
There would appear to be only 2 reasons for this, gross incompetence - hardly plausible - or there are major cash costs impacting Wolves that don't impact other clubs?
What could these be?
Clearly Wolves don't spend excessive money on players - the net transfer spend is minimal to nil over the past few years,- they don't spend excessive money on player wages - the wage bill was widely reported to amongst the lowest in the prem - and they don't spend excessive money on physical assets, the ground etc so what are these huge costs?
I cannot claim to know in this case but there are numerous examples of conglomerates who use intercompany trading to move cash/profits from one area of their business to another often for tax reasons.
Simple examples are HO charging subsidiaries for management services, consultancy fees etc.
What I do believe though is that Rated is correct and failure to get promoted this year will require substantial changes to the financial running of the club as revenues will fall further and far faster than football costs can be reduced without cataclysmic ramifications on the pitch.
24 Oct 2026 19:09:47
4 points from top and 4th after the way weve played is crazy.
munetsi would make a good striker i reckon.
krejci could be really nice in the centre of a back three in the coady role.
24 Oct 2026 23:34:59
Peixoto is out of his depth. An unconvincing win against a very poor side fools no one.
25 Oct 2026 00:43:23
That Watford shower should have been sent packing before half time by 4 or 5 goals. I can honestly say that not getting a striker in will deffinately cost us promotion. The 2 guys that boro got in will take them up. Bueno. Mosquera. Bellaguard. Plus many others are not good enough. Cannot keep having 20 odd shots but only 2 on target.
Cannot keep having 25 attempted crosses with only 3 getting there. Cannot keep totally dominating teams then hanging on. West ham & boro away we're points dropped imo we just self destructed. Bolton & pompey at home were comical.those games will cost us & there's plenty more to come. i will never forgive or forget what fosun have done to us.
26 Oct 2026 08:09:32
I agree with playing Menetsi as a striker is worth a try and playinfg krejci alongside Andre could work as well.
23 Oct 2026 08:50:48
Don't know who 'Football Insider' are but they are saying that the Wolves hierarchy are considering Vitor Pereira for the job. If true (and I doubt it is) what the hell is going on?
23 Oct 2026 09:29:55
They are an outlet that publishes any old sh*t in the hope that some poor unsuspecting soul believes their tripe and clicks onto their pages.
23 Oct 2026 10:48:13
Yea its about 1.5years old probably just clickbait.
23 Oct 2026 11:16:02
OK thanks (phew) they don't call me Mr Gullible for nothing (I charge for it).
23 Oct 2026 15:43:50
Football insider are as about as truthful as fosun.
23 Oct 2026 18:26:55
Better call 'em Football Outsider.
21 Oct 2026 18:34:12
if CP can recall Tolu and reintegrate him in the next 3 days that would be ideal.
he could be the missing piece.
21 Oct 2026 18:52:41
How's that going to happen, ordinary? Loaned for a season, with no recall option, and a £17m option to buy.
21 Oct 2026 20:19:23
IF is the key word there, ifs rarely work around wolves.
21 Oct 2026 21:32:43
He's done with wolves. Would've been a handful in this division.
22 Oct 2026 11:17:47
Isn't it funny how opinions change. I recall that most fans (me included) were calling on him to be moved on the minute he caused the issues on the training pitch. The club duly did the right thing but now thise same fans who wanted him out are calling for him to come back.
22 Oct 2026 15:20:49
Nice to see Sasa scoring and doing well for Lask in the champions league, good of wolves to get him fit and let him leave for free when we are so desperate for a striker, well done recruitment staff.
22 Oct 2026 19:53:58
Had Sasa been a rip roaring success at Wolves and we let him go than your comments make sense but the fact is he was injured for virtually all of his time here and we needed someone who wasn't going to get injured. He was too much of a risk.
22 Oct 2026 20:57:13
Yea, but my point is we get him fit for someone else to benefit, how desperate are we now for a fit striker?
23 Oct 2026 10:57:10
i thought we could recall an on loan player at any point. i was mistaken. my apologies.
