Sidenotes - if you've been watching any of training videos have any of you noticed the depth of training these guys are doing compared to the old videos under Lage? I feel like JL is making them work for their places this year.

I know we haven't seen much of Giles but the lad seems decent. I worry that we'll sell him for cheap just to see him go for twice as much in a few years time. I suppose Lope will have a much better idea than us to be fair but when I see the prices banded about for Goncalves these days it makes me shudder! ?

Why is there so much panic? Do you guys think JL would have stayed if they didn't have a solid plan in place? Obviously FFP is something the club has got to get around by selling players first.
2ndly, the way I see it is that we've 'signed' 5 players in King (GK) Sanderson (CB/RB) and Giles (LB) Chiquinho (RW) and Kalajdzic (ST) although 4 of which are already our players we're missing the fact that these players are all decent players.
The clubs will definitely sign players to replace Neves but let's be honest, a club hero non the less but I'm happy I won't be seeing a deep lying playmaker just passing it out wide or backwards to boost his pass accuracy stats. Moutinho hasn't been that good for two seasons either. Nunes will definitely shine in the middle of field next season with Gomes or Lemina behind him.
I really have high hopes for next season because I don't think a manager of JL calibre would have stuck with us if he didn't believe in the club

JL with us is what I'm banking on Vivvy but you can understand the feeling of the pack.
With ffp selling players no significant signings as of yet.
Posters worry or panic as you put it jeez it's clear as day as to why.
They love our club and its through their passion love for wolves that they have strong emotions of worry and concern with current circumstances.

The nerves before matches is always constantly there as its the elite league but in close season when new signings are to made it can drive you crazy with frustration the wait.
What will be will be but always the wolves are we.
Once the season starts hopefully a lot of the fear and concern will go away.

Phil. You are so right, it's good that some posters can have the it will be alright attitude, but sometimes the best laid scheme's etc. At the moment to me things aren't that rosey.
I've been around a long time to know that not everything turns out alright, we do need some decent additions to the team, us fans need to see a little light in the darkness.

Agree V and P.just look a the Premiership market as it stands, apart from a few "Headliners", no team doing much yet.
Action 1 was always to clear the decks, if anything, I would like to see more movement out at this stage!
Action 2 is to bring in players with the right attitude and of course, Premiership quality.
Without any evidence, I still feel positive about the coming season.

You make some good points Vivvy and then ruin it all by coming up with that absolute tosh about Neves. He was the only one who tried and succeeded with penetrative passes and we'll need someone to take up the mantle this coming season. Nunes is a possibility but he'll need to really up his passing game.

First time poster and long time viewer.
What's the issue with talking wolves? At least they're trying to provide to the wolves community. And whichever middle aged man is posing as Debbie McGee needs to pipe down a bit.
Side note. As a fan I'm really happy we've actually managed to sign players, I actually thought they would sign like 1 or 2 but I'm surprised about the amount of business we've done. COYW

Welcome to the site Vivvy, I think most of us have been more than a bit surprised (pleasantly) as to the extent of JL's rebuild and the changes made at the club management level.
There's no doubt Wolves are far better equipped now to survive and push on from here. Let's hope JL and the team can take full advantage.

Welcome to the site Vivvy, Debbie is alright I imagine the person is just having a laugh with us and tbh in these days we need a good laugh.
The future is certainly exciting for us I doubt any of us imagined signing Cunha, Sarbic and Gomes in the same window, I have a very good feeling about our future under Lope.
I said it from day one this guy is the real deal.
