Raphael Nya, PSG defender, looks like a done deal.

1.) 27 Jun 2019 10:45:08
Yeah done deal mate it's on birmingham live page.

2.) 27 Jun 2019 10:45:35
Screams another under 23 player. not saying I'm panicking or anything.

3.) 27 Jun 2019 13:05:31
You can see a definite long term strategy from Fosun, which is a good thing. If 2 or 3 of these lads come good from the u23s, then its excellent business.

I wouldn't stress over first team signings, the club knows what its doing (thankfully after some of the mismanagement that we have had to live through! ) I am sure the right players will be signed.

4.) 28 Jun 2019 13:01:31
I wouldn’t be surprised if we have the usual loan to buy policy that worked so well recently. Allows Nuno to see if the player fits the team and his style With less financial risk.

5.) 29 Jun 2019 08:16:02
Fits well with our business model.

26 May 2019 20:35:31
Fabian Delph? Doubt it but I would take him all day long!

1.) 26 May 2019 22:34:51
Not for me. not good enough. we can do better. can't we?

2.) 27 May 2019 01:33:58
Delph would be a decent addition I think, i've seen a daft rumour that we're chasing de ligt too.
Now that is one player i'd love down here, unlikely at moment though.

3.) 27 May 2019 20:27:42
Personally I think there’s a lot better out there. I would like us to put a bid in for Gomes from Barcelona they turned 18 mill down from west ham.

4.) 28 May 2019 07:27:24
I'd be really happy with Delph. Can play a few positions too. Still in the England set up for a reason. Andre Gomes seems like an obvious addition with us getting Europa seems like a good move for him.

However we rarely get linked with him so who knows.

{Ed002's Note - There has been no interest shown by Wolves in Delph, Gomes or de Ligt. It remains rather unclear what direction the club will look to go in but there has been continued scouting and taking advice. What I can share:
Domagoj Vida (CB) has been watched by Wolves more than once
Leander Dendoncker (DM) a difficult financial situation has been untangled and he is expected to remain at the club
Morgan Sanson (CM) Wolves have met with a representative of Marseille - but there is serious interest from elsewhere
Rafael Camacho (AM) Liverpool are happy to move him on and Wolves are keen and will offer him the chance to stay in England
Harry Wilson (RW) Liverpool are happy to move him on and Wolves are one of the clubs who are keen
Yacine Brahimi (LW) enquiry made to cover if Jota leaves but he looks to be heading elsewhere
Benjamin Tetteh (S) work permit could be an issue, but Wolves have carried on watching him after talks in January led to nothing
Andre Silva (F) offered to Wolves and others but he may well not be good enough in the Premier League
Francisco Trincao (F) Braga youngster and possibly one for the future
Moussa Marega (S) looking for a move to the PL with interest from Wolves, West Ham and Leicester
Raul Jimenez (S) permanent deal agreed}

5.) 28 May 2019 12:21:48
It seems that at the moment anyone and everyone is being linked to us. The Silva and Marega rumours have been doing the rounds since last summer. We should have learnt by now that Wolves conduct their business in private hence the signings of Jimenez, Dendoncker and Moutinho coming as a complete surprise last season.

6.) 28 May 2019 13:27:08
Marega worth a punt. Could swap him for Costa.

7.) 28 May 2019 18:40:11
I presume more things will start happening now that the championship playoff has been won by Villa. If Chelsea can do without Abraham, Villa will want to loan or buy and Grealish will stay put. If Derby had won, Harry Wilson would probably have stayed.

8.) 01 Jun 2019 18:21:39
Any more details about what the issue was with Dendoncker? Something to do with payment schedule for his purchase price?

{Ed002's Note - It was resolved a couple of months ago.}

02 Feb 2019 22:42:11
So once again no credit to us from an opposing manager. Marco Silva said he would be first to hold his hands up if we were better team but then goes on to dismiss those comments and say nothing good about us at all! No class. Got to laugh haven't you? Thank god we never brought him in when we nearly did ( and i really wanted him! ) Every team he has managed has started well and then it's all gone a bit rubbish. Serves him right if he gets sacked in the morning. Everton fans are NOT happy!

1.) 03 Feb 2019 08:09:07
To most commentators we are still the 'newly' promoted side excelling themselves, they haven't looked outside the premier 'club' year on year and can't accept the new kid in town. We are an exception to the norm re promoted teams admittedly, but surely they know how big a team we are and will can be. Managers are obviously going to blame their own players especially when their jobs are on the line.!

2.) 03 Feb 2019 13:16:51
The black cat got more credit for the result than Nuno from most of the media.

3.) 03 Feb 2019 13:20:37
Let's go for 6th.

4.) 03 Feb 2019 16:12:53
Has anyone else noticed how frequently teams play badly against us? Can none of these reporters see a pattern emerging that might just have another explanation?

5.) 06 Feb 2019 15:07:10
I'm looking forward to Wolves gate-crashing the top six. Then all the pundits will say that the other 14 teams must have played badly. I don't care if we never get the credit just as long as we overachieve. Overachieving was a label thrown at Leicester when they won the league, but they still won the league, didn't they? Damned by faint praise? I couldn't give a damn. Bring it on. The top six mafia and their friends in the media want to keep it all to themselves, so all the juicy fixtures for TV are carved in stone year after year. Time for a change lads.

6.) 06 Feb 2019 22:28:31
Would be amazing to get into top 6 we need to beat Arsenal and hope they lose to all the other top 6 clubs and we pick up points of course the papers will say Arsenal threw it away.

7.) 06 Feb 2019 22:42:30
Perhaps I was dreaming it but I am sure I saw an interview after the match where Marco Silva said we were an excellent team who played very well, much better than them, did all the things he wanted his team to do and deserved to win.

31 Jan 2019 20:31:18
Just a thought. Doesn't look like we will do anymore business today, ( but the Jonny deal will do me! ) . Sam Vokes prob going to Stoke? We should never have let him go when we did, a proper old fashioned striker. He would score for fun with service he would get in this team. Bring him back!

1.) 31 Jan 2019 22:31:51
I was thinking the same TT!

2.) 31 Jan 2019 23:30:40
Only problem is that when he was with us, he wasn't very good.

3.) 31 Jan 2019 08:41:17
He was very good in a poor team. Still Premiership class. Would give us something different and be very effective at set pieces. Would have been a great option. And when you consider we got Mouthinho for 5 mill and he's gone for 7 mill shows you how much he's still valued, i'll bet he will fill his boots at Stoke!

Big Wily has bost his ankle.

1.) 26 Oct 2019 15:25:10
I really hope he hasn't. Not been confirmed the extent of his ankle injury yet. (to my knowledge that is)

2.) 26 Oct 2019 15:30:47
Kilman, Coady and Saiss in defence then or maybe Dendoncker. Massive loss though.

3.) 26 Oct 2019 15:38:15
Boly has broken ankle-that I am afraid will spell a real struggle from now on.

4.) 26 Oct 2019 16:15:34
SQ, he's being assessed. Don't know how bad the injury is just yet but he'll definitely miss tomorrows game. Hopefully the injury isn't as bad as initially reported.

5.) 26 Oct 2019 17:16:05
Nice 1 Jas was waiting to see if you posted as your posts on matters like this are based on facts not rumours. fingers crossed the rumours of broken ankle on social media are not true.

6.) 26 Oct 2019 18:56:31
We were lucky with injuries last season. Now we have two defenders out. Kilman surely needs to hit the ground running now. Coady, Saiss and if necessary Vallejo can fill in. Donk and Saiss can play Coady's role if he gets injured. Let's hope not.

7.) 26 Oct 2019 21:24:16
Confirmed boly has broken fibula gutted.

8.) 26 Oct 2019 21:31:07
Boly has a fracture to his left fibula. Assessments are to be undertaken over the next few days to see if he needs surgery or not. Phil Hayward has described the injury as serious.

06 Oct 2019 17:02:53
Ok. Who's up first to find something to moan about re today's amazing win? Form an orderly queue .!

1.) 06 Oct 2019 17:30:58
The black away shirt looked abit naff tettenhall.

2.) 06 Oct 2019 17:48:27
First in the queue. I wasn't there. bum!

3.) 06 Oct 2019 18:29:05
Very good! Positive answers. Although I disagree about the black shirt. Love it, but sadly too old to buy and wear it!

4.) 06 Oct 2019 19:56:27
I'm too old, don't like it, but belive it or not I'm wearing it with pride tonight. (Got one because I missed out on a white one for the semi last season) . So pleased and chuffed with today. Nuno is a genius.

5.) 07 Oct 2019 14:58:27
I like the way Nuno just makes one or two changes each match. Keeps the team fresh and not too knackered. Not sure how Jiminez does it, frankly. Or Moutinho. But in the end it's the team, whoever's out there.

01 Oct 2019 14:13:50
S. O. S. Save our subway! We like it don't we? It might not be very pretty but it's got character and that seems to have less and less place in football stadia these days which is very sad. Surely we can't let a scouser ( albeit the better type of scouser! ) scrap it just because he doesn't understand, can we? Outrageous!

1.) 01 Oct 2019 16:43:24
Agreed, let’s start a petition!

2.) 03 Oct 2019 06:50:55

Ps. I might finally receive my green third kit shirt today which I ordered on 4th Sept!

3.) 03 Oct 2019 21:57:17
Really. I ordered mine on 23rd Sept and picked it up on 30th.

12 Aug 2019 14:46:05
I agree with Alan Shearer. Let's hear the discussions between the officials during VAR reviews. Won't happen though because it would expose how farcical the system is!

1.) 12 Aug 2019 20:25:39
I'm a huge rugby fan as well as a die hard Wolves fan. We have had video refereeing in rugby for some time now. They are completely different games, I accept, so please don't shoot this post down on that score.
It isn't perfect in rugby but it is much better now than it has been. It is now understood by the referees and the players, and to a great extent the fans, but it has taken time to get there.
VAR is here to stay in football we have to accept that, and we have to give it time. Above all else we need the authorities to have the balls and vision to change it when needed.
There will be many occasions when it will be 'wrong' and many teams who will be 'wronged' - we were the first on the PL.
So the moaners can moan bit it isn't going to stop the juggernaut in its tracks.

2.) 12 Aug 2019 20:44:00
Rugby has so many technical infringements that leads to penalties compared with football. I find they make the game more boring but then again I don't understand all of them and just want to watch the rugby!

You watch Exeter play, presumably?

3.) 13 Aug 2019 19:00:36
I do indeed.
What they now have right in rugby, and it has taken time to get there, is that they have professional referees who have the balls to make decisions and use the technology in the right way. That hasn't always been the case.
It is going to take years to get in right in football but they could be bold and make refs professional and cut that 'maturity' period down - in my opinion that is.

4.) 15 Aug 2019 13:06:22
Rugby is a stop/ start game, scrums line outs etc. Football isn't. Hanging around for 2 minutes when momentum was with you Mars the game.
Celebrations and mental attitudes are effected. VAR is, and, will, ruin our wonderful game. The pundits will love it. I as a fan of many decades hate it. It's too clinical.

11 Aug 2019 16:18:33
Official VAR rule : " if the ball deflects off an opponent or teammate and it's deemed impossible for the player to move their arm or hand in time, a handball WON'T be given". I knew VAR would be a joke, and especially when Jon Moss is the VAR ref. He doesn't even know the rules!

1.) 11 Aug 2019 16:46:30
Annoying that was but they are saying this is a new rule and it's no goal nothing we can do

I thought we would struggle today but we did ok Leicester will be disappointed though.

2.) 11 Aug 2019 16:47:50
Completely agree what a joke we were playing against 12 anyway with that ref and then VAR this will ruin the game for everyone I'm afraid!
But a point is a point and we was well organised we should have won with the few chances we had just some wrong decisions.
But I would have taken a point at the beginning.
Come on you wolves 💛🖤🐺.

3.) 11 Aug 2019 16:48:03
Rule also states that a goal resulting from an accidental handball is disallowed. Rules being made to justify VAR. Methinks.
The game is being ruined.

4.) 11 Aug 2019 16:55:46
Not to mention that ref is a word that rhymes with banker anyway.

5.) 11 Aug 2019 17:49:01
Officials don't know the rules, goals ruled out for big toe nails offside and ball brushing off someone's shirt. Fans cheering madly for a " no goal" ( and don't get me wrong, we will be the same! ), it's all wrong! The powers that be seem to be striving for nil nil every match. All the fun is being sucked out of the game. Tragic.

6.) 11 Aug 2019 18:41:34
The VAR rule that TettenhallToad has spelled out clearly makes out 2 different standards of handball depending on what happens at the end of the move. That makes a mockery of the game. Either it's handball or it isn't, you either stop the game for the offence regardless of where on the pitch it happens not just because it goes in the net!

Presumably if, after the ball hits Boly, Dendonckers shot was cleared off the line for a corner and we'd have scored off that corner, the goal would have stood. It makes a complete joke of the rules. Well done Premier League!

7.) 11 Aug 2019 19:38:27
That’s exactly how the new law works in a nutshell it’s just disappointing no common sense can be used in these situations as it was clear there was no way he could get out the way.

8.) 11 Aug 2019 20:06:51
But Ollie, my problem is there will be no consistency. You will see far more blatant handball "goals" given this season. Probably more so for the "Big" 6!. If the rule is made clear ( and it's not at the moment) and it's applied in the same way to every team then I can suck it up. But it won't be will it?

9.) 12 Aug 2019 20:52:09
Your issue is a general one, Toad, that applies whatever the rules happen to be. Hopefully VAR will make it harder for refs to favour the top 6. However I agree with Statto that if there's an infringement for any reason then it's a free kick. It shouldn't matter whether the ball is heading for goal or not. The rule is poorly thought out. Dendoncker could have played a different shot if he realised he couldn't score from that touch by Boly.

But these are the rules all teams have to play to this season.

Especially if that dude is Jon Moss! And guess who's got the Man U gig? I don't think I can take all this nonsense this season! And aren't they ( the proper refs) supposed to watch it on a tv monitor before getting it completely wrong?

And let's say a big thank you and farewell to Leo. He will always be remembered for starting it all off with that goal v Boro. Even then it suddenly felt different and exciting times were ahead.
