Apparently there's no truth in the "Medina on his way to Wolves" story. Hopefully, Krejci will stay. With certain players staying, Wolves will only need a right winger.

Brayan Medina to Wolves advanced; just a few little bits to sort, then should be completed in the next 48hrs ✅. Also close to signing a winger; nothing solid on a name, but I do know we held positive talks with Duberrys' camp, although I was told Rangers would be back in with a higher bid for him.

I admit that I don't know much about him. I know he had a decent season at Bolton, but that's about as far as my knowledge goes. What does concern me is that he is 21 years old, and usually a club like Brighton are more than happy to play the youngsters. The fact that Brighton haven't played him in a single game, and are happy to let him move on, would suggest that he isn't as good as people think.

He could well become a good signing. If people on here have seen him play and rate him, then fair enough. But at this moment, all I see is a 21 year old that Brighton are happy to sell, who had a good season in League 1 last year. I hope I'm proved wrong.

If truth be told, Traore is probably good enough for the Championship but he simply isn't getting in ahead of Andre. Injuries have curtailed his career, and, judging by how Peixoto has set the team up, he wouldn't fit in. I wish him all the best but it simply didn't work out for him.

I think there are some other options that will be available from Premier League teams as they make their final moves in the transfer window. Although both played this weekend, I wouldn't be surprised if both Gannin-Doak and Mike Moore were available. Gnonto, Dibling and Carvalho are other wide options who might be on the move.

CD Tondela's other centre-back is Christian Marques. Anyone remember him? He captained our youth teams when he was in the academy. He was always touted as a real prospect. He is 23 years old now, so that boat has probably sailed!
Tondela is one of those, Luis, with whom we had an informal relationship.

Like Grasshoppers and Burgos, we used it to give some youngsters first team experience. Joe Hodge was there prior to moving to Motherwell this summer.

Genuinely I'd rather see Monga on loan to be honest rather than waste salary on either.

Sterling is the better player, I don't know where his head's at or what's happened to him. Maybe the motivation has dissipated? He has achieved pretty much everything a footballer can achieve...apart from CL (City won the year after he left) and England.

Zaha I never really liked, as yes he did score against us. But I always thought he was quite a lazy player, so can't really see how it would work if we want to press. But his goals and assists were always steady in the Prem.

I think with Sa, Johnstone, Ruddy, Trippier, Raul, Armstrong and Andre they have a lot of experience in the squad now.

Do we want a squad of players over 30?

It would be exciting to get some exciting young players at CB, CM and wide forwards. JJ is a start. But we need more, the squad lacks pace through the team. I don't really want to see our CBs or Raul isolated, as the players can't move and attack with pace and purpose.

No I'm not expecting Mbappe. But just a bit more to be honest.

Still think we are relying on a lot of consistently inconsistent players due to injuries and form.

It does make you think what Edwards' plan was, as it was exciting before he was sacked.

He wanted cbs, as he wanted to play a back 4.

Edwards was sacked because his style of football was brutal to watch, and too many fans no longer wanted him. Fosun's mistake, other than appointing him, was not sacking him sooner.

Looking like Armstrong will be predominantly played across the front 3 and is seen as being very versatile.

If the deal is agreed we could see our pursuit for a winger halted (or atleast slowed down).

Cesar still wants a winger but it’ll be moved down the priority list.

A centre back is also high on the list with the club approaching Tondela for Medina.

We are in the process of a few sales which will take precedence.

I like Armstrong, but he needs someone to play off. Don't fancy him as a winger or a loan striker. Best to come on when we need a goal to play up top with Raul imo.

Alex - Brayan Medina has a value of a maximum of £2.5m in the last three months, now £1.9m on Fotmob. 24 years of age, 180cm tall, stats are similar to Mosquera and Toti, slightly worryingly with 25 appearances in 2025/26, 8 yellows and 2 reds.

Still reckon we should look at Adam Webster.

I know I mentioned Simms earlier in the week, and found out that he could be available, as he is now surplus to requirements since Coventry's £120m splurge of transfer activity. Rangers were believed to have been interested 48 hours ago, but talk has gone quiet since.

I know we're light in the forward line, but is Simms what we're looking for? It will be interesting to see how Fer Lopez, Jordan James, and Matheus Mane all fit into the side, plus Rodrigo Gomes. We also need to reduce numbers, with very few takers.
