After Gomes ✅ wolves are currently talking to United about a possible deal for awb but need green light from ten hag who feels they will be left short in the position one to watch but a lot of work to do tete has rejected wolves and is joining lecister untill end of the season per current rules may be a late move for a striker if oppertunity arrives other then that business is done great window in my view

I said we were looking at Isco and a French cb which was true at the start of window moved on from Isco and cb in France to other targets I never once said they would sign the varnish was bad info last summer which I held my hand up everything else I’ve said was signing has happend ✅ maybe do something positive with your life instead of sitting on a rumour sight jumping on anyone who posts a rumour ?? I suspect if Gomes is adamant and Flamengo are now in the mood to sell him, he'll almost certainly join Wolves. Of course, they could take him off the market but then they would presumably have an 'unhappy' player on their hands.

Yeah it seems like the sensible thing for Flamengo to do is take the money and get rid of the player because it seems tensions would be high between them if not able to take Lyon offer- Gomes should be given a king’s welcome for turning down more money to come play for us and help us get out of a relegation battle

Spot on Stour, agaisnt City we didn't touch the ball in their area until the 39th min! When that's the case you could have Lewandowski up top and it wouldn't make a difference! I fear all these peeps asking for a proven striker will (somehow) be disappointed at the end of the window! If Gomes signs (and I appreciate its an if) we would have committed to around £90m of transfers JUST this window! As that's already about as much as a proven striker costs the likelyhood of them spending the same again seems VERY slim to me! I would also point out that we aren't being linked to any strikers so barring a late rush (which is unlike us) I think like you say Stour the management likely feel we already have the goals in the team. What we need to do is create more/better chances ?

Old - I will risk the danger of people thinking you and I are merely the same person with 2 different accounts by once again saying that I don't disagree with one of your posts!
I think we should allow him a full season on loan to develop and then see where he is. I have only watched him this season twice v WH in the Europa and sadly there was v little evidence that things had changed to the extent that I would want to pay to bring him back.
Statistically it would appear that he has done ok in Belgium and apparently he has got fitter and stronger so I am not giving up on him. However it is a huge step up from Belgium to the Prem and I am far far from sure he will be the answer to our needs this season.
If we feel we have to get another striker in, (Still not certain that Costa or Jimenenz are the answer and obviously Sasa (sp) is not coming back anytime soon), rather than relying on Cunha and the various other attacking options we currently have, (now including Sarabia and hopefully soon Neto), then i'd rather use those funds to perhaps (partially) fund a loan or a purchase for a more proven player - such as Antonio (subject to a proper fitness check of course) or Broja?

It actually sounds pretty smart - especially if he now no longer wants to be there. I assume both the club and he know where he is going next, hence the behaviour at Antwerp Handsome references, and the deal is effectively done?

Re Costa and Jimenez its a turn of phrase. Despite the club continuing to pick them I'm not convinced. I think you will find my posts previously have been fairly clear on the need for a new striker indeed as you say ever since Raul's injury!
However I am also aware that it is quite possible that club now believe they have done enough and we won't get a big name "proper" striker in - not sure we can attract/afford one in our circumstances anyway.
But as I said I would be v happy to add a proven player like Antonio subject of course to being sure about his fitness or a genuine young prospect like Broja. The log jam though caused by Costa, Hwang, Sasa, Sadly post injury Jimenez and I guess even Fabio will make this even harder though - how many CF's can we have on the books!

That’s correct Roma are moving him on to Bologna and then that will free up the space they don’t need to sell but they have to keep there wage budget low as they don’t have the same ability for wage bills as the prem etc mgm to me makes sence a player refusing to talk about a contract if you can get upwards of £30 mill and re invest it makes business sence still a shame tho he had a lot of potential and coady I think is a special case as his been a great servant for the club and really pushed for the move
