GON charged by FA over behaviour following the West Ham game of last Saturday.

Enough is enough, it’s time that ALL Premier League clubs get together and charge the FA and VAR officials with bringing our National Game into dispute. Even the TV pundits that never see arguments from our Wolves prospective, have almost united in their condemnation of the totality unacceptable errors that have blighted our season - even Agbo the ‘I only see Villa in his eyes’ pundit, has come down on our side. GON is placid compared to Pep, Ten Hag and alike, yet he has nearly as many yellow cards as Joey Barton got in a season.

Jeff Shi spoke out, time to make these officials pay for there errors, starting with Howard Webb - couldn’t run a bath!

GON should appeal and request that he gets the sane level of service that Mikel Arteta got in December when he called the officials an embarrasment and cheats. They overturned the decision even though on that occasion VAR had actually made the CORRECT decision.

2.) 11 Apr 2024 19:42:52
Nothing will change until clubs start standing together against the corrupted Premier league.

3.) 11 Apr 2024 22:42:13
The only problem with that though Rated, the clubs who have the ‘clout’ the power if you like, to stand up and make a difference, are the very same clubs who are, or appear to be, protected by the very same Premier League. The big boys won’t upset the men in charge, the men in charge don’t want to upset their star teams.

4.) 12 Apr 2024 02:58:58
Then it's upto the other 14 to make a stand make their voices heard, if the big 6 don't like it they can crack on and form their own league they won't be missed.

5.) 12 Apr 2024 06:12:52
If anything that just reaffirms the FA/premier/Sky6 cartel that looks after themselves and the money making. Won't accept they were wrong, won't allow anyone to question and don't want the 'smaller' teams to interfere with their 'business' models. We've been done out off so many points now when we could be surprisingly pushing for Europe. We could have a big say yet in the title race with arsenal City and pool to play, they wouldn't want Gary and his merry men upsetting the clique.
GON was quite reserved on sat. He went down the tunnel to avoid getting a third yellow, and restrained players from the ref at the end. So he gets charged for what? Telling the truth? That the ref wouldn't talk to him after and letting the public know? Or simply for pointing out what 99% of anyone interested knows, that VAR was wrong and that VAR pressurised and influences the ref to suit their whims? VAR acts sometimes like the fat controllers for the FA, deciding the fate of clubs. That level of influence, detached from the ground and club. Unaccountable and seemingly untouchable has to be removed from the game.
The experience of waiting minutes to see if a players toe or kneecap is beyond one of their 'lines' is not conducive to an enjoyable spectacle or competition, and to charges others for pointing out when it's wrong is just cowardness, scared that the grip may be weakened.

{Ed001's Note - I can't believe people are dumb enough to believe this Sky 6 nonsense. The Premier League teams have 1 vote each in every situation, which means the so-called Sky 6 have 6 and the rest have 14. There is no way of them working as a cartel. It is just nonsense.}

6.) 12 Apr 2024 07:21:51
I know there is some guidance on tv coverage Ed. But the use of Sky6 by myself is really which teams are more profitable to screen, Manchester/liverpool/London clubs will always attract more viewers than west midland/ East Midlands/east annglian etc. So tv companies know who their preferences are and they pay the FA. Hence can be inferred, admittedly when dubiius decisions go against your team.

{Ed001's Note - and why would they do that when the year Leicester won the league TV viewing figures increased?}

7.) 12 Apr 2024 07:48:05
Re GON charged,
If GON used inappropriate language (swearing) towards the referee then he's banged to rights.
Depends upon how aggressive he was too.

Re cartel big 6 I can't see it and even if it was there then I'd give up on wolves/football as is what's the point, as for along as I have a hole in my bottom I live in hope that one day we will be champions of England and the world.
Anyone in the world can laugh at me no probs like water off a ducks back.lol

8.) 12 Apr 2024 10:55:51
My point exactly Ed. Would Leicester have won the league if VAR had been used then?, in all seriousness its because we've been on the wrong end of VAR so many times that's galling me. Like phil above it's a dream to think we could be champions again but the inconsistent decisions stymie our chances of progression.
There is no doubt the game is about money now and not the 'honest' entertainment we oldies once enjoyed.
Obviously TV/FA/premier plan to the financial ends, expecting paying fans to adapt to the changes in KO and timings to maximise them, and there on choosing for the bigger audience. Back to Leicester, we'll they couldn't ignore them, everyone lives the underdog and it shows how refreshing it is to have a club outside the 6 win it.

{Ed001's Note - there is almost certainly corruption involved but it is not a 'Sky 6' v the rest. When there is so much money involved, you would have to be naive or deluded to believe there is not going to be any corruption.}

Guedes scores and lays on assist as Villarreal beat Barcelona 5-3. Mosquera came on midway through second half.

Good start for Guedes, help get him off our books.

FFP charges against Everton and Forest reported on BBC Sport - panic over, now polish off Brentford ready for a trip to The Hawthorns!

Yes. I've been trying to keep up with the news re ffp. I saw that Forest might be in trouble (Hardly surprising when you pay £42 Mil for MGW and was it £8Mil for Boly? plus the other 28 players.
Surprised about Everton again though.

2.) 15 Jan 2024 17:20:23
I recall many Wolves fans complaining that Forest were signing players left, right and centre a season ago. At least we have avoided the fate of Everton and Forest, who were both charged today. For all our departures I believe we now have a better squad and head coach these days.

3.) 15 Jan 2024 18:10:59
Everton is just stupid. They could have done what we had to do last summer, but didn't. Really if you know you are in the **** stop digging.
Reality is they should have had the points deducted last season. Then Leicester who were also prudent would have stayed up, and they would have gone down. Mind you they will go this season I hope when Leicester comes back!

4.) 15 Jan 2024 18:51:35
No panic needed Penkowolf, Fosun are way too smart to be caught out like that, imo, hence the clear out.

They will not risk the clubs Premier status for anything or anyone for that matter. The additional charges against Everton were expected and as Ken suggest symptomatic of their owners irresponsibility. Frankly, Forest are similar signing an unbelievable 22 players when they were promoted.

5.) 16 Jan 2024 06:50:07
Was it the interset payments on their new stadium that contributed to Everton going over their limit?

Forest could of sold their striker for a lot less roughly 15milllion less but hold out for money of which caught them out.

It's early didn't have a good sleep last night so could easily be wrong.

But the primary importance is that we are OK.

Nico Elvedi - Swiss centre back that keeps Schar out of Swiss National Team is available for £4.3 million and Everton still pondering.

Come on Wolves, get him in - he has 12months left on his contract - Borussia Monchengladbach want him to sign a new contract

Penkowolf

1.) 29 Aug 2023 19:33:30
Weren't we quoted 10m!

2.) 30 Aug 2023 09:36:28
Uruguayan centre back signed this morning £10m plus the young Uruguayan winger Gonzalez - two in two to come unless the ‘fan’s favourite, buggers off to Citeh’ then expect at least two from Citeh!

Could be interesting the last few days of this transfer window.

18 Aug 2022 14:33:14
Now can we have Ramos please. Ben Brereton Diaz will be moving - Nice offer £8.4m good prospect at £10m what does everyone think?

Penkowolf

1.) 18 Aug 2022 15:31:54
Guess it depends on who else we are looking at as a number 9 as obviously we can only buy so many players and spend so much money.
In isolation as Ken has been saying for a few weeks now though he looks a pretty decent punt for the money.

2.) 18 Aug 2022 16:06:50
Penko I suggested him a few weeks ago. I'd be surprised if he goes for only 10m, I think he'd be a good buy for us. He's a type of player we don't have, though if we get Ramos he would be unnecessary. Mind you can't have enough goal scorers!

3.) 18 Aug 2022 18:30:08
Hi Ken

Ben Brereton Diaz will go for free in May - another Troare, Blackburn can hold out for £20m but he is not a target likely to go to the Big 4 or Newcastle?

I totally agree with you, he looks effective and would bring another dimension to our forward play.

4.) 18 Aug 2022 20:37:17
I agree Penko but not sure Bruno does! Be a great addition to the squad though but as he's an International he'd need to play. Mind you with our injuries who knows! Still high on Nunes tbh!

Very good move!

Ekiteke would be another positive loan move. Nothing about him on any of the usual sites - looked good at Rheims but what chance would he have with the PSG forward line options. He has a point to prove - he will suddenly appear somewhere in the Premier League - better option than Broja and all of his hype.

Jas M you nearly gave me a heart attack!

Information on BBC stating Everton and Nottingham Forest expect to be told that they have exceeded the ‘’ffp loss levels ’, another report stated possibly Fulham and Aston Villa as well. Here’s hoping Wolves did enough with the sales at the start of the season.

Jas / Dek

We maybe looking at the two of them. I posted last night that Goodison News had Elvedi going to Everton for £4.3m but they where looking at someone from Spurs then I found this from German Press - Bild:

'Elvedi’s deal runs until 2024, with an option for another year, and his current market value is €18m.

The report states the Bundesliga side would like to sell him for over €10m but haven’t yet received any offers meeting their demands. Therefore, Bild say Gladbach ‘will be happy’ to get €5-6m from Elvedi’s sale in the next few days.

In other words, both Everton and Wolves have a chance to carry out a cheap deal late in the window.'

5 million euro equates to £4, 310, 000 - he would be a good signing.

Good. We don’t want them buying any Wolves player if it’s on the Jota terms.

Could be something in it SBF - £60m please, then we can have Elvedi, Scott (if not already gone to Bournemouth) and Hugo Ekitike (all ready at PSG) and/or Kamaldeen Sulemana - he is quick!

Bella (Italian) opens at 5.00pm you will need to book. If you need a little more time due to 19.30pm kickoff, suggest a gastropub which serves all-day. Great option on the Wergs Road (slightly further out of the city, but within 10 minutes of Wolverhampton (traffic dependant) The Crown at Wergs. Good food good choice and ideal for an early meal.

The sell on clause is 50%. My Citeh mate is gutted! Really rates Doyle as a brilliant prospect, but Pep is stubborn, he won't give the youngsters a chance. His words 'he would rather pay a fortune for a clown that goes on strike - how many goals has he scored'.
