Rumours of the special one coming to Wolves.
Fosun saying they are going to back GON in January.
Looking at our fixtures in January and February it's going to take some special players to make any improvement.
Who are they trying to kid?
1.) 13 Dec 2024 11:52:16
We have no problem scoring. The issue is keeping the ball out of our own net. If they are going to back GON, then Fosun need to ask him which players he wants to bring in and then do everything in their power to make sure it happens.

Special in his own mind, Wombourn. Wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

By keeping GON in place Fosun are showing that they run the show and not the fans.
1.) 13 Dec 2024 11:50:25
They do. They own the club and so they run it how they see fit. The only way the fans will be heard is if we all vote to stay away from games and stop buying the merchandise. This will show Fosun that although they own the club, it is us fans that make it unique.
2.) 13 Dec 2024 13:10:24
Whatever happens I hope the fans get behind the team for the 90+ mins tomorrow. As much as I want a change we need 3 points which is far more important. If we lose then I think the fans have every right to turn their anger and frustration towards GON and Fosun. Afterall they're the paying customers who have and are being let down badly. I still believe we should have enough to beat Ipswich, and despite my thoughts on GON the players are still with him at the moment.
07 Dec 2024 17:09:19
Think it could already be too late for anyone who comes in to save us as we would have to improve while hoping other teams get worse.
It's not like the previous relegation battles when more teams were in the mix.
1.) 07 Dec 2024 18:26:39
If you really think that Ee why don't you put your money where your mouth is and wade in with a big bet? 13/8 is widely available and three other teams are at shorter odds. It's certainly not going to be easy but it's definitely not too late yet.

Southgate
3.) 08 Dec 2024 12:52:02
Old Wulf our shirt sponsors Debet have us priced at 2.25 to be relegated and the three worst prices being Soton Ipswich and Leics so we agree on this one that we need to improve to survive and hope other teams do worse than they are.
05 Dec 2024 18:52:54
When Wolves increased our season ticket prices Jeff said this was vital for the club.
Gary is now saying he is more worried about the club than his job.
The club is losing millions of pounds each year.
Who is going to buy a business that is losing millions of pounds each year?
If Fosun decide to cut their losses and sell their assets will we even have a club?
Will we need to get the Save The Wolves buckets out like we did in the 80's?

Is it just coincidence that the best players in the team at the moment were signed by Lopetegui?
1.) 26 Nov 2024 12:38:16
I tell you what isn't a coincidence and that is that almost everyone of them has played/developed more under GON than they did Lope! Cunha in particular, who looked pretty bobbins under Lope (I thought we'd been ripped off to be honest). Cunha will also tell anyone who will listen how much he rates Gary! ?
2.) 26 Nov 2024 12:58:29
Not sure if they were signed 'by him' or just during his tenure Ee. Wolves, like all Premier clubs these days, have a department that identifies talent, then tracks their progress sometimes for several years before they try to sign them.
No doubt as the 'Manager' not the Coach he would have had more of a say in the decision making, but given that didn't last long it certainly wasn't 'ask and have'.
3.) 26 Nov 2024 13:49:21
If only GON could work his magic on Sam Johnstone Fabio Hugo Bueno and some of the others eh Bully’s Boy?
4.) 26 Nov 2024 14:13:27
Sam has only been here for 5 mins so give him a chance. He has given a chance to Fabio but if you can’t cut it after good coaching then what can you do. I like Hugo also and think he can crack on after a good loan playing champs league footy. It’s clear to see the squad behind Gary and that they all song his praises.
5.) 26 Nov 2024 14:20:11
In fairness E there is magic and there is magic, he's not Harry Potter! He might be able to get the best out of a player but he can't bring out something that isn't there to begin with! Out of that list I haven't lost hope in Hugo Bueno, the right loan could get him back to the player he first looked like ?
6.) 26 Nov 2024 18:46:12
Don't know much about Johnstone but from seeing him in the early games he looks poor to say the least. To slow, poor distribution and from memory should have easily saved a couple of goals so I'm not too optimistic about him improving. To be fair to him, I don't buy this he's injured and/or sick rubbish. I think GON may have taken him out of the spot light to get to know his team mates better and get some confidence back. I think Bueno is a great player and really looking forward to getting him back. As BB 11 said hopefully he'll be the attacking full back, who went past players that we remember. Regarding Fabio I would forget it. Probably easier to try and raise the dead.
7.) 26 Nov 2024 20:01:11
Think uv got the wrong bueno Ee.and I think the bueno we currently have is improving everygame.i was dubious but I guess wel see.cunha is a different player100%.as for s.j.well he's got to be better than bentley.so he can warm the bench.end of.lets see what the next5games bring and then bring your judgements.
8.) 27 Nov 2024 00:52:27
Funny how lop signed the best player but Jeff signed the rest.
9.) 27 Nov 2024 10:48:32
Just had a look and Lop signed 7 players for us, didn’t realise Doherty, Bentley, King, Sarabia and b Traore were some of our best players. He also only signed Cunha on loan, we actually bought him just before/after Lop left. Some fans have very selective memories. Yet it was Jeff who signed Fabio not Nuno.
10.) 27 Nov 2024 16:27:21
Goatmark - as one of the most vocal and consistent critics of Jeff I have to recognise that we do need to be careful with general sweeping assumptions.
Obviously none of us really know to what extent Jeff, (and/or the various managers) has/ (have) been involved in player acquisitions during his/ (their) tenure at the club.
However what we do have are his pronouncements.
Prior to Seville - when inward transfers were largely excellent - he was silent on football matters.
Post Seville however he suddenly became very vocal about his role making outrageous claims about Fabio. Sadly his increased visibility coincided with a dramatic decline in our transfer market success - in fact we endured a number of very very bad windows.
The arrival of Hobbs has seen Jeff once again return to the shadows and, although the signings remain a bit of a curate's egg, with some excellent parts but some less than well thought out signings - due perhaps to the yellow sticker policy - overall we have certainly improved.
However what cannot be denied is that our signings must always be viewed in the light of our overall financial performance - clearly it is easier to be aggressive/successful in the transfer market if you are making significant underlying pre player sales profits.
Achieving this is undeniably Jeff's role.
He is charged with raising revenues and controlling costs!
Sadly if you look at the accounts you can see that it is irrefutable that he has done a very poor job in that regard. Consequently to avoid financial breaches we have been forced to sell players that for football reasons you would like to have kept.
Hence my criticism of him.

I should have taken 11/8 for the Wolves Old Wulf as we have shortened to evens now.
Mind you with my luck City would get sanctioned and take our place.
10 Dec 2024 11:10:27
GON was happy to accept a new four year contract after the club sold £200m of players Bully’s so he must have believed he could do something with the team.
At least Lope told them that sustainability was unsustainable and wanted nothing to do with it.

What has gone wrong with the coaching that our defence was good last season but bad this season WS
03 Dec 2024 22:27:23
What is the answer to your original question then WS which was how come our defence has gone from good to bad?
We still have Daws Toti Bueno RAN and Semedo but not Kilman.
