Back down to earth with a bump unfortunately.
Mane as others have said, needs to be taken out of side or at least substituted, not play every minute.
Whether he tired or not, he has not been as good recently.
Think we have a while now before next game at Brentford, be an interesting one as they having a good season.
Will we be back then saying Rob is not good enough and these few results were a flash in pan? Jury still out for me, all depends on performances and results for the rest of season.
Someone said it is the hope that kills you, feels about right at the moment.

Just my opinion, Banksy, but I'd get Thomas Frank in now. He took Brighton up from the Championship, and did pretty well in the prem, but would he work under Fosun, and would Fosun back him.

Just read that RE said that Liverpool did things differently to Tuesday night. If that's so, why didn't he act to counter it?

I will not be having Thomas Frank managing us. I don't want to be playing like crabs for the next season.

Liverpool did do things differently last night: they simply showed what they are capable of. Against that, we had little chance. Quite honestly, if any top 6 team plays to the best of their ability, teams like us will lose. Simples. That said, Rob has definitely improved us and should be given the chance next season.
If I had to choose between beating Liverpool in the league or in the cup, I would choose the former to keep the faintest chance of survival alive, or to get the maximum number of points if we're relegated.

I was looking forward to watching the full game, but all that did was re-kindle my initial thoughts about Re. Tactically, that was a capitulation. They were allowed to control everything beyond our penalty area, constantly inviting shots and crosses in.
I know that our squad has been totally vandalised by Shi and the owners, but with just one midfielder out, we totally surrendered that area and constantly formed up deep, while continuously punting the ball forward back to them.
This simply invited them on wave after wave until the inevitable happened, and we collapsed defensively, but then did nothing about it until we were 3-0 down.
Keeping it to 0-0 at half time by doing that is one thing, but unless you come out second half set up to go forward and build on that, the outcome is inevitable, and so it transpired.

Tulu was poor last night. His finishing in all aspects havnt been good, his control questionable, but no doubters, he's a menace.
Mane has had his youthful exuberance taken, and he's joined the real world, the opposition have become aware of him, and he's now got to learn the trade in dealing with the extra attention hes recieving.
We've no one who was prepared to risk a pass or run into the opposition, until Rodrigo appears and maybe Hwang, but it was too late.
Got to blame Re, he didn't gee em up for a cup game.
Obviously Liverpool's class was the defining factor, but we didn't or couldn't interrupt them.
Sitting backing numbers is awaiting the inevitable to happen, as it did.

Ok FC, each to their own. If you'd rather be where we are now, so be it.

Liverpool played their strongest team. Why didn't we? No chance of avoiding relegation, so go for a cup run. Sa would have got the 1st and 3rd goals. End of.
