Abraham decides to stay at Villa.

mathmo

1.) 09 Jan 2019 12:42:26
Shows a lack of ambition, and also a belief in his own ability. Makes me think he sees himself as a big fish in a small pool or a small fish in the premier lake.

Dendoncker rumour seems to be building.

mathmo

1.) 08 Aug 2018 14:18:18
On his way to Wolves for talks.

Please let this one come through.

The lad is perfect for us. Could be the strong DM we need

Or tall CB next to Coady.

2.) 08 Aug 2018 14:24:58
Seen that. He looked OK in the World Cup. Hard worker.

3.) 08 Aug 2018 14:49:04
Nash saying it as well now.

4.) 08 Aug 2018 15:30:14
Dendoncker capable of playing as middle of back three. Tall, good in the air, two-footed with good passing range, young and quick with ability to carry ball into space when it opens up. Looks like competition for Coady to me!

5.) 08 Aug 2018 15:47:54
I would agree he seems ideally suited to a sweeper role which gives him best of both worlds.

Having watched a lot more of him and I know highlight videos only say so much. But in terms of pure talent and ability with a football not far off Neves at all. Bold statement I know. He will be magic if we pull this off.

6.) 08 Aug 2018 16:32:14
Patricio, Jonny, Doherty, Boly, Dendoncker, Coady, Neves, Mouthinho, Traore, Jota and Jimenez.

Costa, Cav, Leo, MGW, Saiss, Bennett, Ruddy on the bench.

I think we're ready to tear up this league.

7.) 08 Aug 2018 18:14:42
I personally want Vida as well! Think a back three of Vida, Dendoncker and Boly would be insane.

8.) 08 Aug 2018 18:15:18
Yes I reckon Dendoncker could do Coady's job. But he's mostly a CM who pushes through the middle.

Wondering how a team with Dendoncker, Coady and Moutinho would look, Jas M. I think one has to drop out unless they play RCB/ LCB.

I think Costa would start ahead of Traore. Initially anyway. Nuno will do some rotation across the front anyway.

9.) 08 Aug 2018 18:28:27
Dendoncker, Boly and Coady at the back with Moutinho and Neves in midfield.

10.) 08 Aug 2018 19:32:44
Definitely agree with those three at the back Jas

Double swoop with Zinchencko as well. We have so many versatile options it's unreal.

Could see Jonny RWB and Zinchenko LWB.

Man this will be one deadline day. Was getting a bit worried the likes of Fulham had cained us in this window. How wrong I was.

11.) 08 Aug 2018 19:41:00
Zinchenko Fee agreed.

Up to player now. The same was reported a week or two ago and he turned us down. Hopefully since City keep agreeing to sell he will get the picture and join.

12.) 08 Aug 2018 19:45:56
Jas mate, just drooled all over the screen seeing your post.

Think Costa has probably done enough to challenge for a starting place over Traore. but what a team.

13.) 08 Aug 2018 20:49:10
Right Jas M so you're putting Donk (had to think of a shortened name) at RCB? I have no idea what he's like there.

I think Coady needs to watch out, as Donk (is it sticking yet? ) will take his sweeper position. Coady will have to fight it out with Saiss, Hause and Bennett for RCB.

02 Aug 2018 08:35:42
KSS might be close to the mark on Rose. we're even money to sign him with the bookies. Would be a great signing, but just can't see it happening.

mathmo

1.) 02 Aug 2018 11:34:22
The odds at the bookies mean 2 things

1) People are betting on this so the odds shorten not necessarily knowing anything

2) The company lower odds to make people think something could happen so more people bet therefore the bookies get more money again with no ITK knowledge.

2.) 02 Aug 2018 15:35:04
What? Bookies using crafty tactics to fleece unsuspecting punters out of money? what a sad world we live in.

3.) 02 Aug 2018 15:48:41
A year ago he was linked with Man Utd and a fee of £ 50m was muted. WW won't pay that or anything like it and rightly so. Can't see this happening.

4.) 02 Aug 2018 16:01:08
I wish Mr Rojo all the very best for the future. May all his problems be large and unsolvable! Personally, I hope we beat Man U next season and especially if he was in their team and not warming the bench!

😉⚽️👍.

5.) 02 Aug 2018 16:02:40
Danny Rose can leave Spurs.

6.) 02 Aug 2018 16:36:05
I wasn’t moaning about betting shops, I was moaning about people using betting odds as a form of confirmation where a player will end up.

7.) 02 Aug 2018 16:44:21
Rot in hell Rojo, you 'minor' apology for a footballer. With your obvious profound footballing knowledge and understanding of the history of the game and what constitutes a big club from a small club, you'll no doubt have a future career as a presenter on TALKsport radio. Tell you what also, Wolves, why not produce a list of a 100 players worldwide and then watch Everton and West Ham follow like lemmings to try and get the exact named players-pathetic! In other news Villa have £9m for Mina-must be the heat.

8.) 02 Aug 2018 17:19:52
We don't want Rojo anyway. He's lost his mojo.
Can't wait till we beat Man Utd, and Costa leaves Rojo in a heap on his backside.

9.) 02 Aug 2018 17:38:27
Rojo, what a joke. Like he did well in the world cup for Argentina. must have halved his already falling value. He's trouble in the dressing room so any minor player like that needs avoiding.

10.) 02 Aug 2018 18:11:21
It's great how all these championship clubs now want to copy the "Wolves model" for promotion. Nobody wants to copy the Cardiff model. Now they all want Mendes to help them as well.

11.) 02 Aug 2018 19:20:09
Anyone have thoughts on getting drinkwater on loan from Chelsea, would be good cover in central midfield?

12.) 02 Aug 2018 19:46:07
Drinkwater Neves and Moutinho, all too similar. We could do with a N’Diaye time ball winner.

13.) 02 Aug 2018 19:48:30
What a Minor player thinking we would be in the slightest bit interested in him? 😂.

14.) 02 Aug 2018 23:30:46
Stu- Drinkwater IS a ball winner, would be a perfect replacement for N'Diaye with the added benefit of counting as a 'homegrown'! Think its an excellent shout Nuno however I fear Mendes has already told Fosun to steer clear of the 'English player Premium'! I do Hope I'm wrong cause Drinkwater would be a stonking signing! ;)

06 Jul 2018 00:29:59
Close to signing Oleksander Zinchenko for 16m from Man City. Main position CM, secondary LM and LB.

mathmo

1.) 06 Jul 2018 01:11:25
Coming in as competition for Douglas from what I’ve seen at LWB think it will suit him personally there and should be a very good signing.

2.) 06 Jul 2018 06:42:08
Yet another bit of news missed by all the #ITK.

3.) 06 Jul 2018 06:59:00
I like this deal a lot. He has bags of ability in most areas. Did very well defending at times for man city also. One for the future as well as now.

He could play many positions for us and expect he might. Cm might be a more natural fit as the years go by.

4.) 06 Jul 2018 09:17:08
Haven't we brought in Vinagre at back up to Douglas.

5.) 06 Jul 2018 10:40:14
If you watch him play on YouTube you see he plays right wingback as often as left - and sometimes even in an attacking midfield role. Obviously he covered at left wingback for City, but he's clearly versatile. My money is on him being cover for both Douglas and Doherty, but primarily a replacement for Doherty. And probably occasional cover on the wing should Cav/ Costa/ Jota pick up an injury.

6.) 06 Jul 2018 10:43:40
. and he still needs to actually agree to come to us. I doubt he's short on suitors and unfortunately the city of Wolverhampton is hardly a selling point for a wealthy young lad. If we land him it will be a fantastic signing.

7.) 06 Jul 2018 13:51:47
Says it all eh chaps . the rumour mill has yet agin been full of blarney😁

wheres the chap who said a signing is iminent but i don't know his name or team . 😂😂😂Bound to surface and say i told you .

Its great banter though reading the posts .

So close are the cards to Fosuns chest even Debbie Magee wouldn't be able to prise them away.

More top signings surely but who?

8.) 06 Jul 2018 13:54:10
Meanwhile over at our needy neighbours AV . 🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫

😂.

9.) 06 Jul 2018 18:37:55
Copied from the Villa website:

"2018/ 19 Tickets: Wigan Athletic on sale today! "

Any Wolves fan out there feel sorry for them? Not after the complaint they made about us to the EFL.

26 Jun 2018 17:46:50
Seems we've turned down 12m for Cav from Fulham.

mathmo

1.) 26 Jun 2018 18:11:19
Yes just seen that on sky news.

2.) 26 Jun 2018 18:31:00
Can’t see this happening after him being filmed by the club in the new kit and can see him being central to Nuno’s plans.

3.) 26 Jun 2018 18:55:28
Well done Wolves. Let's keep Cav. He improved no end under Nuno. Back off Fulham!

4.) 26 Jun 2018 21:38:06
Thats probably just to appease thier fans, we were so used to it too but long live Fosun, Nuno and uncle Jorge!

5.) 26 Jun 2018 21:58:13
Andre silva, luke shaw, william carvalho, brahimi, mawson,

6.) 27 Jun 2018 13:16:23
£12m not enough.

How is it that Cav is on the transfer radar anyway? No bids we know of for anyone else in the first team. I wonder if someone somewhere is trying to coax a much bigger sum (ie £20m+) from a top 6 club?

7.) 27 Jun 2018 13:37:12
Silva hasn't really done anything at the WC so it is more and more likely that he will be available for Wolves.
He is playing himself out of a possible contract offer from the other (Champions League) teams he is interested in.

Away kit looked even better with Fosun logo. I hope they produce a few of them as a collectors piece.

mathmo

1.) 21 Jul 2019 15:01:59
They have at £70 each.

2.) 21 Jul 2019 15:47:26
Thanks RKO, I've only seen the home shirt available as an Asia Cup souvenir. Seems odd when we beat City playing in black. My locals ran by a city supporter and I'd love to wind him up with that away kit.

3.) 21 Jul 2019 16:46:43
Apparently all the limited edition FOSUN top are sold already.

Rui's wife believes Jonny will be a welcome addition in the changing rooms before kick-off if her advice is followed.

mathmo

Why is that? Rui's wife is a sex therapist!

2.) 24 Jul 2018 07:17:21
Didn't see that one coming, after reading her article the other week, lol.

3.) 24 Jul 2018 07:24:34
We will all need to wear Jonnys how exciting it's getting.

4.) 24 Jul 2018 10:05:20
lots of cover off jonny on big willy.

5.) 24 Jul 2018 12:23:39
🤣🤣🤣🤣💦💦.

6.) 24 Jul 2018 16:45:46
Dappa, if that's you when are you going to do some body building?

7.) 24 Jul 2018 18:10:40
I think he may of started something there maybe we should all do a bodybuilder pose for our profile pic .

8.) 24 Jul 2018 19:31:15
big Willy is sold due to interest in castration 🙊🙊.

Zappacosta anyone? reports from Italy suggest Chelsea would accept £17.5m or consider loan with option to buy.

19 May 2018 16:34:21
I think we all agree last year was a great season for us breaking all our historic records in the championship, highest points tally, most games ever one, highest goal tally and least conceded.

This transfer window is pivotal to the aspirations of both our owners, manager and us, the supporters, relegation would be catastrophic, a top 6 finish a dream, and in all reality well beyond our capabilities.

So where will we finish next season? I would like to think mid table 9th would be ideal perhaps a little on the optomistic side but achievable. I base this on the following, if we could do the same and beat our records in the Prem, most won 11 and least lost 18, we could end up 12 won 9 drawn and 17 lost or 45pts.

This also ties in with how the six championship winners with a total of plus 90pts have fared in the past decade on return to Premiership. They have managed to average 44.3% of thier championship points total in their first season in the Prem. This would relate to 44pts for us. Allowing for a 3pt margin of error 42pts to 48pts would indicate on average a finish position between 10 and 14th.

I hoped for 9th because this was the position City were in when Mansour took control and 2 years later they were in Europe.

In Nuno we trust.

1.) 20 May 2018 10:02:04
Thanks mathmo, some useful information in there.

2.) 20 May 2018 16:58:56
Why would you hazard a guess at where we will end up without even knowing who will be on the team?
Wolves are going to spend big and are targeting top 6 at least.

3.) 20 May 2018 21:28:31
Timmy remind me again who exactly from the club has EVER so much as mentioned this mythical 'top six finish' which you speak of?! Teams like Everton have been plying a trade in the Prem since before the league was even called that and they don't find it easy to spend there way into the top six, yet we are going to find it a walk in the park?! Peoples arrogance/ ignorance about how the top league works is genuinely laughable! Of course with a perfect season any team COULD finish in the top six but guess what all teams will be trying it and only six will manage so not sure why we should assume that includes us?!

4.) 20 May 2018 21:53:32
Top 6 is a crowded space but with Burnley 7th it's not ridiculous and we don't know what will happen to Arsenal and Chelsea

I would be happy to be in top half with this team but if we get more players of Neves standard yes we should be higher.

5.) 21 May 2018 00:33:12
Kevin Thelwell says Wolves want to be challenging Spurs. What position did they finish in?
I doubt he would specifically mention Spurs unless he was talking about next year. If he was talking about 3 or 4 years out, he wouldn't know where Spurs would be in the table.

17 Apr 2018 14:56:06
2 players with contacts expiring in June, Liverpool and MU target, Lazio's central defender Stefan de Vrij who's 26 and Max Meyer 22years old midfielder from Schalke.

Wishful thinking for sure, but 2 class players on a free.

I've tried google translate on Dap's posts, didn't work, appears language was not recognised.

just wondering if he's the guy I met in the Feathers a few years ago as I couldn't understand a word he said either.

No offence Dappa, just a bit of banter. Keep posting we will understand one day.
