Don't start moaning at me please it just something someone told me so I just thought I'd pass it on that wolves want willian Jose would want a loan with option to buy like I say don't have ago just something I heard and probably not true.

Matt_1877

1.) 14 Dec 2018 15:33:04
So, Man Utd want to but Willian, and Jose wants to loan him out (should thebdwal go through)?

2.) 14 Dec 2018 17:06:02
The deal *.

3.) 14 Dec 2018 18:55:26
Pretty such he means the player Willian Jose, Striker for real sociedad.

4.) 14 Dec 2018 19:48:53
Oh right! my bad, I apologise @ Matt_1877. Thanks for clearing that up Mitchwwfc.

5.) 17 Dec 2018 14:56:50
It's fine Debbie I understand the confusion haha.

08 Nov 2018 11:00:26
Wolves had scouts at last nights game benfica vs Ajax I'd guess they were there to watch players of benfica. salvio? Dias? Grimaldo? Pizzi although the didn't come on till 75th minute?

I've got admit I think wolves may look for another winger, apart from Cav who is the only one of the lads here last season looks decent Costa and jota don't look great although from I've read jota apparently looked better yesterday and Ovbs traore only signed in summer and is going to take time and needs more starts but personally think we may look to for another winger in January.

Matt_1877

1.) 29 Oct 2018 16:10:36
It's strikers we need Matt.

2.) 29 Oct 2018 17:11:26
Yes Paul we need a striker disagreeing but how many chances has Jimenez been created for him Paul? Personally I think ST, Winger, CM and full back January.

3.) 29 Oct 2018 18:00:53
Problem is regular Prem scorers are few. Last season we scored from all over the park, and everyone is finding it hard to repeat that. Doherty looked most likely on Saturday. I am sure if we had a striker who scored a few, it would create pressure on defences and allow others a little more space and time to contribute again. I cannot believe Nuno is unaware of what is needed and will find the solution. We have come a long way quickly and are still very much work in progress. just think 2 years ago.

4.) 29 Oct 2018 18:57:06
It’s no good dominating games and not getting the points because we are missing the pieces of the jigsaw at the sharp end? i'm Not do anything other than stating the obvious! I guess it’s just frustrating chaps. a tad annoying as well. Great build up and firing blanks. Arrgggg!

⚽️😉👍.

5.) 29 Oct 2018 19:29:55
Maybe the style Jonny is playing is different from Douglas and that is what is causing Jota's issues.
How you run up the field and whether you cut into the middle or stay on the touch line affect how the other player plays and where the space is.
Nuno should try to get Jonny to replicate what Douglas was doing last year in that respect to see if it helps Diogo generate more opportunities.

6.) 29 Oct 2018 23:10:15
thay have played 10 damm.

7.) 10 Nov 2018 18:11:05
Batth playing his way into England call-up at Boro.

8.) 14 Nov 2018 18:13:58
Matt have you had a bang on the head Costa he ain't done to bad mate I think he's doing a good job.

13 Aug 2018 01:11:22
I hope this isn't true but apparently nuno doesn't trust vinagre and he won't start many games but I thought he made a bit of a difference when came he gave us natural balance and we had two wing backs doing the same rather than one further back than the other Jonny is great defensively but I think to get the best out of him going forward it would have to be on the right.

Matt_1877

1.) 13 Aug 2018 07:59:59
1. According to who?
2. Why would he sell Douglas and buy a player he doesn’t trust?

2.) 13 Aug 2018 11:12:34
I thought Vinagre made a massive difference for the short time he was on, better shape to team and much better option going forwards. He would start against Leicester for me.

3.) 13 Aug 2018 13:02:25
I agree vinegra made a big difference when he came i'm a bit worried about our defence if boly gets injured who else is there to keep things together we will b given the run around nearly all our defenders played in the championship we haven’t made hardly any signings in that area Jimenez I thought was brilliant and deserved his goal could have another.

4.) 13 Aug 2018 18:44:23
Uhh, Dendoncker? . you plonker.

5.) 13 Aug 2018 19:49:37
Hause will come good if needed. His big chance.

6.) 13 Aug 2018 21:39:16
Dont believe this at all its like the douglas left post because he was late to training and him and nuno had words even though nobody had real proof of it being real #fakenews.

7.) 14 Aug 2018 13:06:08
Wolvesseve, you just don't get "real proof" in these matters. The fact that Douglas left cheaply gives you all the proof you need. No other PL team came in for him, and there was no championship bidding war. Maybe his supposed behaviours put them off?

8.) 14 Aug 2018 15:11:17
Douglas left because his defending was deemed not good enough for the prem - only Leeds made w offer that wolves felt was acceptable.

13 Jul 2018 22:16:27
I hope I'm wrong but have a feeling that this fifa thing might be effecting transfers yes wolves are confident they've done nothing wrong BUT if they start spending they might then argue we'll you can pay what the want I just have one of these bad feelings about it.

Matt_1877

1.) 13 Jul 2018 23:30:16
I don't think it bothers the club. They say they ain't done anything wrong as Patricio was a free agent when he signed. The 2 clubs had agreed to a few but Sporting backed out. FIFA will probably say that we have to pay the fee originally agreed. The release fee does not need to be met as Sporting under the old directorship allowed the contract to be terminated. The fact that a new regime has taken over does not allow the club to reinstigate a terminated contract. Also Sporting cannot ask for Patricio to pay any future wages back. It's like me having 20 years left to work in my current job and if I resign, they ask me to pay them back the next 20 years wages they would have paid me. Bottom line is that Sporting are desperate as Patricio is one of 7 players who will walk away for nothing thanks to the old regime treating them like sh*t.

2.) 14 Jul 2018 00:00:22
Matt- I REALLY wouldn't lose any sleep over it fella cause it will all have been planned for by Fosun. You don't build up the empire they have without foreseeing the odd legal dispute, this ain't there first rodeo and they would have had legal teams looking over it before we even agreed the deal! So I'm sure it won't be affecting current transfer policy.
Besides historically when it comes to legal disputes more often than not the side with the biggest pockets does ok simply because of the legal force they can throw at it and I don't see why that wouldn't be the case here! We will of course HAVE to pay a fee as FIFA can't have this as a precedent case for peeps just walking from there contracts but I think what will go in our favour will be the £16m 'agreed' for him just weeks before. Reckon it will be max a £25m payout but even then it will be contingent on apps. If you look at the way these tribunals usually work its usually like £16m up front then say £500k after 10 apps, 20 apps etc or after Champs league apps (dream a dream)! Either way all pocket change to Fosun so like I say I feel pretty confident that they know what they are doing! Only concern for me is that it does shine an unwanted light on Mendes influence and they may try and crack down on that but even then they could only make that a new policy going forward because as we've already seen once as things stand today we've done nought wrong! COYW ;)

3.) 14 Jul 2018 00:24:03
one would hope that a multi national corporation would have the nouse to spot a legal pitfall and subsequent problems. everything reported (i use that term very loosely) is extremely amateurish including the complaints to fifa (that bastion of truth lol) . fear not, it requires corruption to thrive in this sordid world.

4.) 14 Jul 2018 01:26:49
I hope your all right here I really do, but I’m hoping that transfer activity will pick up and that we’re being slow as the quality we are targeting and due to individual positions but thanks guys being only 20 makes it hard not to worry I’m sure you’ll understand that haha.

5.) 14 Jul 2018 12:05:46
Fosun stated last time. The transfers were looked into complaints from villa and Leeds and co they now all the rules in the book they have nothing wrong wol will haft to pay the transfer fee agreed in the first place which was 18mill sporting r blaming us but wol had nothing to do with it.

6.) 14 Jul 2018 12:55:48
I think we currently have several deals on the go some waiting on us and some where we are waiting on others. Some of our negotiations are just back-up in case the original deal falls through. Maybe also having a last look at the existing squad like Hause, Cameron John, Goncalves and Giles to see if any of them could be anywhere near joining the squad. I really don't think they are over worrying about the Sporting complaint. BUT I do think it probably knocks on the head us doing much business with Sporting for a while.

19 May 2019 19:28:38
We know about otamendi but if Danilo and delph both available this summer would you take them as well as I would?

Matt_1877

1.) 20 May 2019 19:42:14
No just Otamendi. He's got an aggressive defender attitude. Would we then keep Saiss though?

2.) 20 May 2019 23:42:47
I'd keep Saiss as he can play in midfield.

11 Jan 2019 05:33:00
If we are looking at young English attacker ie with our move for Abraham, why not look at ollie Watkins at Brentford as he's only 22 and would be better suited to the way nuno plays in my opinion.?

Matt_1877

1.) 11 Jan 2019 05:53:45
Good shout but one for the future. think we need one for here and now.

2.) 11 Jan 2019 14:02:44
Great shout Matt.

3.) 12 Jan 2019 15:35:08
We only need an extra striker now - all other players will improve next season after this season’s experience and as the young players develop.
Then follow a policy of signing young and hungry to follow on from Moutinho and the older players and we can build without spending stupid money.
With Doherty Coady Boly Vinagre Neves Gibbs-White Cavaleiro Raul Jota Costa - the future is Golden!

4.) 13 Jan 2019 05:02:46
Will, cav, Costa, Bennett, saiss, ruddy stick round next season?

24 Dec 2018 17:00:20
Just reading on sky that palace are worried about losing zaha and Townsend as there being looked at by bigger clubs we know we as much money as we have we don't pay massive massive transfer fees but is someone like zaha someone we should be consider?

Matt_1877

1.) 25 Dec 2018 08:30:01
Zaha can be good but probably mid table standard not top 6 so depends where we want to be I don't think Townsend will offer anything we don't have already.

2.) 25 Dec 2018 15:30:42
No agree about Townsend window but think zaha could be decent a long side Jimenez but I also like the lad Ronny lopes from monaco.

3.) 25 Dec 2018 16:57:12
Lopes could have serious injury problems now.

4.) 26 Dec 2018 19:24:00
I know he had injury OGW but has he had few, tielemans is decent also.

23 Dec 2018 00:40:11
With monaco struggling and wolves signing cav, Costa, Vinagre, moutinho who have all featured for Monaco either on loan there or permanently through Mendes I wonder if he'll try to get us to buy 1-2 There players if not his client?

Matt_1877

1.) 23 Dec 2018 16:11:56
Only ones who could improve us are Falcao and Glik.

2.) 24 Dec 2018 00:42:47
Ronny lopes ain't bad either jas can play rm/ cam nor is tielemans.

3.) 24 Dec 2018 02:22:08
Although Ronny lopes hasn't long come back from injury but still could be good especially in the cam but like I say can play wide also and tielemans could give us something different in the two midfielders as well and falcao could do something well with Jimenez tbh.

4.) 24 Dec 2018 10:35:54
Nobody from Monaco is going to improve our squad.
Talk about getting another striker in. do we need one? The chances against Liverpool were there to be taken but who did they fall to? Traore, MGW and Saiss? Now if they had fallen to Diogo or Raul maybe we would have been celebrating a point or possibly three.
Right place, right time, wrong player on the end.

Have a great Xmas everyone and a Happy New Year.
Off on my winter holidays Wednesday.

{Ed001's Note - you wouldn't want another Adama Traore then? To be fair Monaco have some excellent young players, they just don't have an excellent manager to help them at the moment. They have 3 good right backs but all are out injured. The one I would think would be suited to Wolves though, personally, is Heinrichs. Though you don't really need a right back or wing back so probably a pointless signing. Moussa Sylla has great potential as a forward, but not sure potential is what you need right now. However, to suggest nobody from there is going to improve your squad is nonsensical.}

5.) 24 Dec 2018 14:56:31
You're talking bottom of ligue 1. There is a lot of crap in the French league aside PSG.
I'll say it again - wouldn't swap any of our first-teamers for any Monaco lads.
You mention 4/ 5 players then say we probably don't need them.
Make your mind up.
They can take a few of ours for the right money.

{Ed001's Note - not me who cant tell the difference between squad and team. Jesus you really are clueless about the game if you think not one of their players would improve your squad when they have Falcao and you can't score goals.}

6.) 24 Dec 2018 18:38:45
Falcao 7 goals in ligue 1. Certainly doesn't tell me he would cut in the premier at the age of 32. If so, why is he floundering at the bottom of a league equivalent to our championship?
Been to Chelski and Manutd, didn't cut it there either.
Definitely a no-no for Nuno.
You'll be telling me next that Fosun should sack Nuno and hire Mourinho. Talking crap, you're the expert!

{Ed001's Note - you really are showing how little knowledge you have. Falcao was just recovered from an ACL injury when he joined Man Utd and was still recuperating when at Chelsea, who wanted to keep him.

You are just embarrassing yourself. If you had any knowledge of what was going on you would know that Monaco stripped out half their side each summer over the last few years since winning the title and that is why they are floundering. It does not mean none of their players are any good.

I don't know why I am wasting my time, wasn't so long ago you were calling for players from the 'league equivalent to our championship' and I do mean you personally.}

7.) 24 Dec 2018 18:55:52
Well said Ed. Falcao would walk into most sides in the world. He is a born goalscorer.

8.) 24 Dec 2018 19:56:14
If he is still that good, why hasn't the losers on Merseyside made a move for him?
Answer - they need a defence first.
Or come to think of it, why is he in ligue 1 and not la liga, serie a or our premier league?
Says it all. dunnit Ed?

Wouldn't swap Raul for him. Or Diogo.

{Ed001's Note - you really do not have a single clue. Wasting the time of everyone with this conversation, you are not even bright enough to know what team I support. What says it all is that you think the team someone plays for makes a difference, while forgetting your keeper came from the Portugese league, which is well below the French one in terms of quality. I think your use of the word dunnit says it all about your intellect.}

9.) 24 Dec 2018 20:43:19
Wolfie, just look at Falcao's record: 74 goals in 122 games for Monaco, 70 in 81 for Atletico Madrid, 72 in 87 for Porto. League titles in Portugal and France (with Monaco) Europa League and Euro Super Cup winner. Also, his paltry 7 goals this season have come from 16 games. We'd be mad not to take him if he was available.

10.) 25 Dec 2018 08:51:42
Merry Christmas everyone.
Would Daniel Sturridge on loan till end of season be an option? . injuries apart he’s not had too much game time lately so should be recovered.
Certainly knows where the goal is and give Hume a couple of the chances we created against Liverpool would have stuck a couple away.
Only a suggest guys welcoming all opinions
Now I’m off to get fat on turkey and drunk on Christmas spirit.

01 Dec 2018 03:55:00
We need a change in formation and quick, personally if it was me I'd change to a 5311
Or a 433 so either of those two teams

5311
Patricio doc Saiss Coady Boly Giles/ vinagre
Neves Dendoncker moutinho/ MGW Jota Jimenez

433
Patricio Doc Coady Boly Vinagre
Neves Dendoncker moutinho/ MGW jota Jimenez Cav

Either of these two would be good I think the top one tho could work better having 3 in the middle and some who will roam round behind the striker.

Matt_1877

1.) 01 Dec 2018 08:45:40
The problems not the system it’s the players in it there’s too many either under performing or not good eneough neves looks a shadow of the player we know he is Jimenez has been poor the last 2 games Moutinho not influencing games like he did earlier Jota cav Costa traore not creating or scoring where has the free flowing football gone what’s happened to Dendoncker at the moment there are more questions than answers though the fixture list up till Jan looks daunting there’s not really a team that will set out to stop us which means we can play our game I do think investment needed in January and I’m sure the club has identified targets most of us knew this season would be tough and accepted survival hopefully mid table was success the fools who thought we would gatecrash the top 4 are probably the same fools calling for nunos head.

2.) 01 Dec 2018 10:34:48
Personally don’t think it’s the formation. Not sure why but we’re not playing how we were last season. There’s no through balls and defence cutting passes putting players one on one with the keeper.
Just can’t imagine us scoring
The players are under performing massively or trying too hard in my opinion.

3.) 01 Dec 2018 22:03:15
The issue is the formation we are getting over run in the middle and against Chelsea it will happen again unless we play an extra man in there.
